Terrible Experience – Wasted Money and Time
I booked the Bangkok Vegan Delights as a birthday gift for my best friend while he was in Bangkok. Unfortunately, the experience was a complete disaster. Despite selecting for the confirmation email to be sent directly to him, he received no information about the tour's starting point. He spent the entire day wandering in the heat, trying to find the meeting location, but had no luck. He even attempted to visit the office and reached out via phone and email, but no one answered. This not only wasted a whole day of his trip but also completely ruined the thoughtful gift I had planned. I paid a lot of money for this tour, and we got absolutely nothing for it—no tour, no support, and no response from the company. I have reached out to Taste of Thailand Food Tours to request a refund or reschedule the tour, but I am extremely disappointed to have received no response to the multiple emails I have sent. I do not recommend this company. Save your time and money, and look elsewhere for a reliable and professional tour operator.

    Think again about using TripAdvisor
I have used TripAdvisor before but this was a no show guide, confusing directions (address and site description did not match according to locals), phone number provided had no i fo, “guide” did not respond to questions. Waste of time and money for short stay in Bangkok. No refund to 10 days when they were no show!!! Not okay.

    Great food, great guide
Had such a great time on the tour and ate so much good food! Na was an incredible guide- so welcoming and informative, she showed us so many authentic Thai dishes but everything was vegan. We’re so happy we did this and learned some good food spots at the start of our trip!

A great food tour with an even wonderful guide
The food tour was absolutely amazing, with the happy Na guiding to us to tasty local authentic Thai food, be it in nice little restaurants or those famous little spots on the street. We were absolutely stuffed and still kept going on and on and was such a wonderful experience and thanks to her, learnt a bit more about Thai culture and food.

    Taste the real Bangkok!
Great way to experience the city and really taste the culture. Our guide even went out of her way to help once we got stuck in Bangkok traffic on the way to the meeting point.

    Fab introduction to vegan Bangkok
Our guide Modi was so helpful and friendly! We tried more vegan food than we could eat and left absolutely stuffed. Stops included street food stands, cafes and restaurants, making it so easy to try so many Thai dishes. Modi chatted the whole way giving us so much insight into the food we were eating as well as life in Bangkok. Couldn’t recommend highly enough for vegans visiting the city! Book a few days in advance to ensure the tour goes ahead on the day the suits; our tour was just us (a group of four). We initially booked for two and Taste of Thailand were really helpful letting us add another two friends last minute.

    Delicious food and good company
My partner and I had such a wonderful time eating vegan bites. Dany was so sweet and knowledgeable. We had some delicious vegan food from all regions of Thailand. We also had some treats to take back to our hotel.

    An enjoyable taste of Bangkok
Ohm was an excellent guide. His English was impeccable (he had a scholarship to study in USA for a year) and he patiently taught us a few words of Thai as we went along. He explained about the dishes, snacks, fruit and drinks that we tried (and sheltered us from the showers with his umbrella!) and told us about the Bang Rak area and something of the history and customs of eating and drinking Thai style. We had more than enough to eat and drink over the course of the tour, having skipped lunch. We certainly could not have finished all of each dish. I am vegetarian and he ensured appropriate dishes were served so that I felt I was still getting a full experience, not just ‘with the meat left out’. My only reason for not giving five stars is that in my communication with Taste of Thailand before booking I had said that we wanted a tour where were part of a small group rather than just a private tour for the two of us. Perhaps some people would feel that the fact there were only the two of us with our own guide was a ‘bonus’ but we like the opportunity to meet other people and not be the sole focus of attention. It would have been courteous, I think, to let us know in advance that there were no others booked on the tour, but of course this is a management issue, and in the end Ohm put us at our ease and ensured we had a pleasant and relaxed evening.

    Street food tour worth trying
Ohm was a great host & our favourite part has to be our first meal & desert. The street food was great except for the congee, I can’t say that I would ever eat that again but it was extremely funny watching my friend try it! The sites at night were beautiful & it was great getting around in a tuk tuk.

    Delicious!
A huge thank you to Sasa for the lovely tour full of yummy food! We enjoyed ourselves and loved finding places to eat on our second day in Bangkok. We actually went back to one of the places to have a full meal! Sasa also knew of the best place to buy sticky rice and mango which my partner enjoyed. She was also really warm and friendly. I highly recommend a tour with Taste of Thailand! Thank you for sharing your time and experience with us Sasa! we can't wait to take a tour again when in Bangkok.

    Awesome food
Thoroughly enjoyed our food tour in old town. We got a chance to try various styles of cooking and flavors. The herbal drinks were delicious. Enjoyed seeing the unusual fruits that are indigenous to this area and trying them. Our guide was outstanding and very informative.

Food part made my husband very sick.
The guide (Ohm?) was super nice and in no way was anything his fault. The places you are supposed to eat at are a health department nightmare. One dessert we were supposed to try was some gross custard thing. The man was flipping them in a skillet with his bare hand while smoking a cigarette in the other. All food places were really dirty and made me wonder if rats or vermin cam in at night. Just avoid the street food in general. The last place we went my husband found a price of metal in his soup. He was sick for 3 days. Take the guided tour but don’t do the food part. I liked the ancient cities very much.

This Tuk Tuk tour was amazing. The food was divine and our tour guide Ta Taa was just lovely and very knowledgeable about her country, the history and its food. Was a fantastic experience shooting around the city at night and our driver was safe and polite. The temples we saw at night were amazing and very different from the day with the way they were lit up and the peaceful air. The flower market was great, never seen so many flowers in once place. Could not recommend this night enough.

This was the second time we’ve done this tour! We chose the private tour when our family and friends (ranging in age from 14 to 75) visited us over the holidays. The food places we visited were amazing plus it’s a great way to see the city at night. Sasa was our tour guide, and she made the tour that much better!! She is knowledgeable, energetic and so fun!! In fact, we specifically requested her this time after we had her for our first food tour. This tour is a must when you’re visiting Bangkok!

A wonderful evening exploring lots of different restaurants and places around the city. We have lived in Bangkok for a few years but everywhere was new to us! The food was tasty, our guide was very knowledgable and we had lots of fun. There was SO much food we were completely full by the end of the tour, do NOT eat before hand!

I had fun riding a tuk-tuk with foreigners I met for the first time and the cute and lively Chanya guide, wandering around the wonderful night streets of Bangkok, and devouring delicious food until my stomach exploded.
As a bonus, a golden night view from the riverside~~~
It was such a wonderful and fun night~^^
Chanya, the pretty girl with an explosion of tansion
Thank you to the driver who took me all the way to the hotel~ ^^

A must do. Ja Tar (apologies if that’s incorrect) was amazing, knowledgable and very funny. We had a great evening with great food. Some of the places you would probably walk past normally however they were just unreal. Temples at night are a sight to be seen. Tuk Tuks were a fun, thrilling way to get around!!

Great tour for seeing and tasting the street food in Bangkok. Our guide met us promptly at the meeting point, and the Tuk Tuk dropped us off at the hotel at the end. The temple of dawn was an amazing sight at night.
