Overview
Explore Oahu’s North Shore on this 7-hour, small-group excursion. Admire the views as you drive across the Ko'olau Mountains toward the Valley of the Temples. Enjoy the scenic shores of Kahana Bay, catch sight of Mokuauia Islet, and visit the legendary Waimea Bay for the opportunity to spot green sea turtles. Observe local villages, plantations, and pineapple fields as you journey through the island.
What to Expect
After being picked up in Waikiki, head over the Ko'olau Mountains to the legendary Valley of the Temples, traveling to the base of the cliffs where the Byodo Temple sits. Then, take in the scenery of Kahana Bay, a hotspot for bird enthusiasts and home to unique Hawaiian plant life.

Continue north along the scenic Kahana Bay, where you'll stop at Malaekahana Beach for views across to the Mokuauia Islet. In Kahuku, visit a shrimp farm and learn about the endangered wetland birds. Here you'll enjoy a break for lunch (own expense), before heading to Sunset Beach, a popular location for surfing enthusiasts.

Next, travel to Waimea Bay, a well-known basking and feeding ground for green sea turtles, before stopping in at the historic Haleiwa Village. Absorb the creative atmosphere here as the village is home to artists, craftspeople, and surfers alike. Finally, visit Dole Plantation, a historic pineapple plantation and home to the world's largest maze.

Your tour concludes with drop-off at your original departure point.

great way to visit the north shore

I highly recommend this tour as a way to explore the North Shore. Our guide Steve was excellent. He shared with us many interesting facts and insight about Hawaii. Much better way to see the scenery instead of having to focus on driving.
