Fantastic experience, fun and safe!
What a wonderful place to go horseback riding!!!
The mountain ride was so much fun and in beautiful much scenic areas .. all the way to the top!
Though it was drizzling and misty at the top and couldn’t see the waterfalls , we felt it added to the beauty and mystique!
The sun came out on our way down to the cliffs by the sea .. what a beautiful experience it was!
The guides were fantastic and stayed with those of us who were not experts ..and at the end we were even able to gallop!
Highly recommend this to to all !

Wonderful Experience!
We went to Maui on a girls trip, my friend was a beginner. The guides were excellent, very kind, and experienced. They matched us well with our horses and told us quite a bit about the area. The views on the trail were amazing. I would definitely recommend this trip!

I am so happy for this experience! The horses were well cared for. The two gentlemen that led the ride were amazing. The trail was beautiful. They took time to take pictures for us to keep for our adventure. Just can’t say enough good things about the whole experience!

Scenic and relaxing horse back riding in Maui
Sep 2021 • Solo
Very scenic ride to see waterfalls and the ocean. Suited for beginners and experienced riders alike. The horses were calm and looked very healthy. Each rider was paired with a horse based on experience. Guides made sure all riders were safe and had fun. We enjoyed guavas while riding and had two great photo opportunities. Definitely recommend, you can’t go wrong with this tour.

Great experience, great people

Such a fun jaunt around on horseback. Fred and Michelle were wonderful guides and gave such good insight into the local scene. Fred found us some delicious guavas right from the bush along the way. They both were knowledgeable and friendly with Fred having a dry and funny disposition.

And what a little farm they have! It’s like two adventures in one, getting to know all their other little farm animals and learning that they really go the extra mile in taking care of their animals.

We’d wholeheartedly return for another round with Diamond and Cowboy any day :)

Best trail ride EVER
Had the most spectacular horse ride! The views were unbelievable. The guides were great. They let us taste fresh fruit along the trails and took amazing keep sake photos for us. And they did an incredible job of tailoring everyone’s experience to their riding level. I was so excited that they let me trot / canter! My husband who is a less experienced rider enjoyed walking the whole time and taking the views in. The horses were beautiful and well taken care of. This could not have been a better experience. The perfect length too! Hoping to come back February 2023 for another ride and maybe some whale sightings!!

Top Notch
This place was the best trail ride experience I have ever had. Guides were friendly, fun, and top notch. Horses were so well taken care of and kind I loved that as a horse person. The scenery was breathtaking and the ride was the perfect amount of time. They also provided drinks and a really great location to hang out before the ride. Hands down recommend and will come here again!

Overall—highly recommend!
Aug 2021
My family and I had a great time on this tour. The guides are there to help, whether you’re an experienced rider or a beginner. They are great with kids and adults who admit they are beginners! I will say that I am used to going on trail rides with horses that are very docile and basically just follow the horse in front of them. My “intermediate level” horse was a bit more challenging to manage than that. There is some amazing scenery on the tour; however, much of it is very exposed, so don’t forget your sunscreen.

Regarding comments about the road to the ranch: We met in an empty lot just off the main road, and then the entire group drove up to the ranch together. This reassured us that we were going the right way along the unpaved roads, although it did cause some delay. Our car was no worse for the wear. The ranch is interesting; they seem to be real animal lovers who rescue and/or keep sheep, cats, chickens, peacocks, pigs—-I’m probably forgetting some.

Fun for people who’ve rode before
Aug 2021 • Couples
I’m going to provide some feedback here along with my experience.

First, the road to the ranch is extremely rough. It’s short but my girlfriend and I were nervous about damaging the car due to the road conditions. If there was a better way to get up to the ranch that would’ve been great. Mostly everyone drove a rental car and when we all got out we all were checking out cars.

The ranch is small and our group was about 10 or so. More than half the group were considered beginners and matched with a horse that fit that skill set. You’re an advance rider if you essentially horse back ride every day; not much different between intermediate and beginners in their eyes. We were provided helmets and saddle bags for phones and water which was very nice. Take 2 waters as it gets hot quickly on the trail. Staff was friendly and helped everyone on their horse; loading a group of 10 took almost a half hour which seemed like forever in the heat.

I wish the description of the tour was a little more detailed. If you’ve never rode before, expect steep mountains up and down which requires some work on the rider to allow the horse to do its job. This isn’t your typical “stroll on a nice flat ground.” No no no these horses will trot to stay close to each other and need to focus on their footing as the road is dusty, rocky and uneven. The beginners on the tour all were anxious as hell and didn’t seem to enjoy it as much as people who have had experience.

My horse was very calm and controllable. My girlfriend’s horse was a little more stubborn which made her nervous. The ranchers didn’t do too much besides keeping the group together; one led the group while the other stayed back. If you weren’t near the ranchers, I wasn’t, they just checked back once and awhile to make sure everyone was together. They were talking about some of the stuff around but I couldn’t hear anything. Not sure if it was conversational or they were actively trying to point out certain things. I would add another rancher into the mix as many people don’t have every day experience riding especially on trails like these.

There were 2 main spots for photos which was nice and the trail was very scenic. Wear pants and lots of sunscreen. This was the only day in Maui out of my 2 weeks that I got burnt.

Since you’re on horses with some stopping, don’t expect to be with your group the entire time. Some of the horses did need their space while others would decide to eat some leaves which led the horse to be a little farther from its original spot in line. Even if you’re behind or in front of the people you came with, it’s difficult to talk to each other so if you’re looking at this for a social activity I would pass.

At the end of the tour, the ranchers helped us off the horses and thanked us and immediately went to handle the farm. They provided additional water at the end of the tour but once you’re off the horse they leave you.

My biggest tip though is DO NOT MAKE A LEFT OUT OF THE RANCH. My gps naively told me to take a left which brought us onto the Kahekili highway. This highway was extremely treacherous, though beautiful, it was miles of single lane portions that were anxiety filling. Whatever way you came go the same route to avoid our mistake.
