Overview
Don’t miss one of the most popular whale-watching tours in Maui! This 2-hour catamaran cruise takes you from the historic Lahaina Harbor out to waters home to humpback whales. Using underwater hydrophones, listen to them sing, and watch males compete for mates or mother whales calving — you never know you might see on this adventure that guarantees whale sightings. Enjoy the views from the open upper deck or the shaded cabins below, and hear informative commentary from naturalist-guides on board. This family-friendly outing includes a Naturalist Program for kids.
What to Expect
You'll depart Lahaina Harbor and go out in search of humpback whales who migrate every year from Alaska to Maui to mate and breed. Seeing the amazing ocean giants is an experience you'll never forget. Pec and tail slaps to full breaches, whales coming up to the boat....it can be an amazing show which never fails to bring a smile to one's face.

Throughout the tour, our certified Marine Naturalists will provide educational talks and interpretation of the whale behaviors you are witnessing. There is even a free Jr. Naturalist Program for kids so that they can learn and enjoy their experience as well. Moreover, whale sightings are guaranteed or you will get a gift certificate to go again for free.

These cruises are offered on smooth riding, double-deck, eco-friendly catamarans built for comfort, stability and viewing. The upper deck provides excellent panoramic views and a higher viewing angle, but there is also ample space to move around and shaded cabins below deck. Sodas, juices, alcohol and snacks are also available for purchase inside the bottom deck cabin, as well as two restrooms.

Amazing Whales

This is a great trip. A wonderful way to learn so much about whales. The boat ride was great. Although we only saw 1 whale breeching because it was the end of the season, we saw 100's of dolphins.

Good for families

The tour delivered exactly what it promised, tours of the harbor where we watched whales. We were told the boat recently lost its liquor license, but it didn’t really matter to us because we didn’t want to drink at 9am. The boat had plenty of...More

Awesome value

The guides were very knowledgeable and energetic! Almost immediately we saw whales and continued to through the duration of the trip. We saw dolphins as well. They even brought water around. Don’t forget your sun screen and Dramamine if you get sea sick.

Very knowledgeable guides, plus whales!

We booked this excursion knowing that it was the end of humpback whale season. We got lucky and saw three different mama/baby pairs plus a few lone whales. The crew was very knowledgeable and provided an interesting tour.

Very few, if any whales in summer. That's why we go in February.
