So this is one of the worst reviews I ever had to write. Everything started of great in the morning, with my wife and I having a single instructor between us. The check-in experience was easy, since we had surfed before the beginning lesson was appropriately kept simple, and

Aloha Roger. So sorry for the experience your wife and you had with us. Yes you are correct we do have the waiver which expresses that with any sport including surfing there is a chance of injury. We do hate it when it happens and we do try very hard. There are a lot of people in the water especially during holiday seasons and the instructors do try. There are other companies out there as well as people practicing on their own. A person can be going one way and then can change direction or their angle for one reason or another or for no reason at all. It is a beginner area but accidents happen no matter how experienced people are. In this case board to board your wife's toe got involved in a bad way. Her toe and toe nail. The instructor you have pictured was actually the one that helped your wife with the first aide kit to wrap her toe. He was on the land. She had told her instructor to continue with you on the lesson and that she would be fine. Also another instructor came after toe wrapped and asked what happened and your wife told what happened but said she did not know who the person was. I don't think she would have said the one who helped her with the wrap was the person. And your instructor did say she was going to clinic to check it out. When a toe nail lifts up I know you do go in and they flush it and try to lay it down if still connected and wrap it. Of course we are all having a hard time with the cost of medical attention. To do with board breaking I am not sure what you are referring to. Students are not responsible if there is damage to equipment. If people rent boards then they are responsible which is the case everywhere. I also don't know why you would talk about tips. This is our 20 th year and we do try each and every day to do a good job. Again so sorry you feel the way you do and please take care. Yours, Lynn Alapa

Sean and Julianna were great with my two boys (8&9). The kids really loved it! Not 30 mins later when we left they wanted to go back. Thanks Sean and Julianna!

Great staff! They could not have done it better. Kids still talks about it. It was raining a lot and at first we thought we should postpone the activity. Good thing that we didn’t. Probably the best thing we did during our stay in Hanalei. The instructors took good care of us,

I was completely impressed with this outfit. Our kids had never surfed before so we were not expecting that they would even be able to stand long on a surfboard much less ride a wave into the shore. They DID! Scott was very patient and made sure that everyone had a chance to

Evan was very patient and fun on our first day surfing. He taught us the basics and gave us lots of time to practice in the ocean. He's great with kids (the lesson included myself and my 10 yr old). We loved that they took us to another location when Hanalei wasn't conducive.
