Overview
Among the many ways to explore Queen Charlotte Sound, a mail boat cruise is as authentic as it gets. Hear tales of the region from the boat captain who also functions as the rural delivery service for the New Zealand Post. Follow a scenic route to reach isolated hamlets as you witness firsthand the remote lifestyle of the Marlborough Sounds.

Last minute booking because of another company cancellation. The trip was enjoyable on a gloriously sunny afternoon. Great view of the rare shags and the dolphins appeared on cue. Skipper kept up a good commentary.

Although the weather was choppy, our skipper did a great job. Gave us a closer view of Picton, both people and wildlife. Highly recommend the experience.

Very relaxed, interesting and informative cruise around Queen Charlotte Sound on the famous mail cruise. Stopped at various points to deliver mail, drop both passengers and supplies. Brief stop to see where Capt. Cook landed at Ship Cove. Overall a great cruise.
