A great day out exploring the island. We didn’t hire bikes but used the hop on hop off bus which was great for us.wish we could have stayed longer.

Hard to fault Rotto. If you’ve been before you know what you’re getting… peace and quiet and an opportunity to explore. Great beaches. Lovely food for lunch at the Rottnest Hotel. Sensible pricing for the ferry and bike hire. And everyone so friendly. And quokkas!!

Simon and Eli were great on the bus tour of the island. Would recommend to anyone. Cruise to the island was also exceptional. Again we would recommend this excursion.

Its a great island for cycling or any beach activity. In summer there are flies though but it was manageable.Its great to spend full day overall we all loved it,better to rent bicycle before going as all bicycles will be rented out.

Ugh. We went to the office trailer in person. We had to cancel our Wednesday trip due to personal circumstances, which we did online a few days before the original date At the trailer the employee said they would give us a voucher for Thursday, “ no problem”. So they then gave a voucher for Wednesday not Thursday, which is what we requested ( we didn't notice their error)The interesting thing is they gave is voucher for the Wednesday 9:30 am departure (we were at there office trailer on Wednesday after 9:30). So we show up, Thursday morning for the 9:30 am ferry, we board and arrive without issue. When it was time to depart rottenest, the employee taking tickets refused our entry on to the boat, acknowledging the error made by his associate told us we could wait and be “ stand by”. So I said to him “ an employee of the company made an error and we have to pay the consequences” his response was “ yes” We refused and eventually boarded the ferry. The boat is fine , but customer service is extremely poor. The employees act like their doing tbe customer a favor. There are other options

We did a return from Perth, including bike rental. The ferry was on time, information given was very clear and generally the ride was very smooth. They even were on the lookout for dolphins in Swan river. The bikes provided were decent, although the saddle on one of them was a bit loose. Locks and helmets are also provided.

Great spot but was so busy . Guess I’d give a better score if I’d gone a bit off season. Shops bars etc couldn’t keep up with the influx of tourists, and you could feel the stress in the form of poor service and poor food. Didn’t matter as to where you went “just couldn’t get service. Boat ride was great as well as the speed boat around the island it’s self and worth the trip for this alone.

Pros: Easy booking and seamless logistics. It was nice to purchase the full package of ferry/bike/snorkel in one go for a decent price. Rottnest is also full of beautiful scenery, and of course, cute Quokkas. Cons: Most of the cons have more to do with the island itself, rather than the Rottnest Express. E.g., hot sun, high UV, and little shade in some parts of the island. We were also constantly harassed by swarms of little annoying flies. We were additionally not particularly impressed with the snorkelling, as much of the landscape seemed over touristed and over impacted. Lastly, the distances on the island to bike sometimes felt like a slog with the hot weather and many little hills. Bottom line: a great day trip while in Perth, but if you're going in summer, bring the sunscreen, bug spray, and prepare to sweat! :)

Really enjoyable and an activity not to be missed. The trip included sailing down to river before travelling the ocean. Good facilities on the island including a choice of coffee shops and gifts. The beaches are beautiful. The activity is as high as you make it.

Amazing!! Loved the boat ride out to Rottnest island, very comfortable ride and enjoyed sitting the outside deck. Then the ent on the fast jet boat ride around the island, that stopped at points of interest! A must do!

Fantastic trip to Rottnest Island and with so many beach's to visit, getting around via a bike was perfect and the Quokka's adorable!

The wife and me loved it! Would experience again! I recommend going in a clear day or else it'll be so bumpy and a mess 🤣😂😄

The day out was great. Busy time of year and a busy ferry but we managed to squeeze in the one an hour before our booking which gave us an extra hour on Rotto. Slightly marred by the fact that the bikes are very tired and I had a flat tyre before starting, swapped it for another bike and then got a puncture 75% of the way round. All sorted by Rottnest Express within 30 minutes but suspect the tyre was in need of replacing before I started!

Rottnest Island is a fun place for families who take the ferry from Perth for the trip across the ocean. In Rottnest Island, you can swim or take a bicycle around the island. The quokkas, which are like mini kangaroos, can be found around the island. Visitors can take the ferry back to Perth or find somewhere to stay overnight. Things like the pub or the baker keep the visitors interested, or by cycling out to the lighthouse.

Quick trip to Rottnest for the day. Luckily we booked online early that morning as the 11am ferry was fully booked when we arrived. Weekday outside school holidays and very busy. Windy day so the trip was a bit rough though not too bad. Friendly crew and bar/snack bar on board.
