During this day tour, you will have a chance to visit the largest WWII Nazi concentration camp and learn the tragic story of the Holocaust on a guided tour of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum. You will have an introduction to the origins of the camp, its history and the everyday life of prisoners. You will also see the original barracks, barbed wire, gas chambers and platforms.

The museum was founded in 1947, and since 1979 the camp has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Now every year millions of visitors are walking through the gate with the sign 'Arbeit Macht Frei'– work sets you free
What to Expect
You will be picked-up from your accommodation and be driven about 1.5 hours to Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum. Once in the museum, you will spend time with a professional English guide, who takes you through the historical journey of this tragic place.
Sightseeing is divided into two parts: Auschwitz I and Aushwitz II - Birkenau. You will have an opportunity for a break between these two camp visits. You may buy something to eat at this point, but we always recommend you bring food with you. Transportation between camps is provided with the same vehicle.

Once you have completed the sightseeing in second camp, you will be returned directly to Krakow. The whole tour takes about 7 hours, including transportation time.

I will try to keep this short, but I was beyond impressed with this tour. It's half the price of all the others I found, but I can't see how they could have improved it. We were met by a lovely lady and walked to...More
