    Wieliczka Salt Mine
Stop: 2 hours - Admission excluded
The most popular way, the tourist route is about 3 km of winding corridors located between 135 and 240 meters underground. The tour lasts about three hours, in groups of up to 40 people and starts in the Daniłowicz Shaft, where the guide will introduce you to the history and secrets of the mine. The trail leads to the Chapel of St. Kinga, where you can see salt works of art or a spectacle on a salt lake. It is worth knowing that there are approximately 800 stairs on the route, of which 380 are already at the beginning, which is why we suggest you put on comfortable footwear. The temperature below the ground varies between 14-16 C.

Climb aboard a minivan, and enjoy the scenery on the 10-mile (16-kilometer) ride to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Wieliczka Salt Mine. Once you arrive, start your tour of the mine. Learn about its origins in the 13th century from your guide. Ascend almost 450 feet (135 meters) into the earth, including a climb down 350 steps and a walk through a 2-mile (3-kilometer) network of tunnels. Take in vast chambers decorated with salt carvings, a chapel decorated with salt chandeliers, and caverns hosting salt-rich lakes. Throughout your guided tour, listen to your guide's informative commentary through provided headsets. Climb back to the surface for the ride back to Krakow. Get dropped off at your original departure point at the end of this tour.

We were picked up promptly from our chosen location, and transported with around 15 others. We were in a tour group of 40 but were given plenty of time to look around and the tour guide were very informative! We would recommend this tour and would return again!

Great day out. Well organised. English speaking guide very informative. I like taking photos so hung back. Guide kept breaking up on my receiving unit, so I removed earphone. Photos tell the story better than I can. A must do trip if in Krakow.
