The trip is well curated and we ended up tasting 25+ wines through the day. The wine and cheese experience as well as the production tour were the highlights of the day. It's incredibly good value for money. We even had a photo op with some wild kangaroos! Lunch is a good quantity and you can choose from a set menu. The vehicle is a Mercedes mini bus and they carry full capacity per trip so that's 14 pax with 2 riding in front with the driver. The ride can get a little hot with the ac getting frequently turned off (to save fuel, I'm guessing) and can be pretty stuffy in the last row. The driver (Tom) was cheery but his sense of humor is a little off and time management could be a little better. But all in all, it was a great trip.

I would rate this trip 5* if it wasn't for the fact I felt the pictures advertising this trip and the pictures on the mini bus for this trip are VERY misleading. When booking this trip the website has lots of pictures of customers drinking wine and having lunch in picturesque locations i.e. vineyards (this was part of the package for me and I was massively disappointed to find we didn't get this). We drove through vineyards and visited beautiful locations however when we arrived we were always put into an air-conned room where 9/10 you couldn't see outside. It does state in the terms & conditions that the activities can be moved inside if the weather isn't great. However, it was a beautiful day and I felt like it was a shame we didn't get to see the views we were shown when booking.
Copious amounts of food and wine are provided so if this is all your are interested in I would rate this 5* as it couldn't have been better. If you were looking for the whole scenic package like us you may be slightly disappointed upon arrival.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your recent day trip to The Hunter Valley. We appreciate your honesty, and are disappointed that we were unable to deliver a 5 star experience for you. The venues we visit are the ones who decide where the tastings take place, and they always take into consideration the weather conditions to ensure the tasting experience is as comfortable as possible. This means, on occasion, due to rain, high wind, or extreme heat or cold, the tastings are held inside. It's great to hear, however, that you enjoyed the wine and food provided on the day. Cheers

My husband and I joined this tour as part of a TripADeal getaway. Our driver Tom was fantastic, very experienced and professional with a great sense of humour....and safe driver!!
Our little group of 8 people got on so well, it was like we were old friends by the end of the day.
We visited 3 wineries and a distillery and did both cheese and chocolate pairing at 2 of the wineries. The restaurant lunch with wine (of course) was delicious, our 12 Hr slow cooked Beef Cheeks were delicious.
It was a wonderful day out with people who also liked a wine, and who laughed and giggled and chatted a lot!

The best wine tasting tour I've been on. We went to 3 vineyards, 1 with cheese tasting, vodka distillery, lunch and chocolate tasting. Our guide, Daniel was the host with the most. He's friendly, accommodating and thoughtful. This was a surprise gift for our friend and Daniel remembered my friend's birthday and gave her a bday cupcake after lunch and got everyone to sing for her. That was awesome!

The wine tasting was fantastic, especially if you like white wines. The service was good and the bus trip made the travel go smoothly - there was also enough time at each location. I would recommend the burgers and club sandwiches at the lunch, as the best value.

We have travelled around wineries of the world in New Zealand, Bordeaux, Burgandy, South of France, Napa, Sonoma and Barossa etc but Hunter Valley with the guide Cheeks was our best wine tour yet. He was excellent and provided us with great stories of Hunter Valley and its history on wine and the people. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

We did the tour under the guidance of Daniel. It was a great experience to which he added the right degree of humour blended with good information. He took care of all the guests and made sure everyone was included.
The trip is an excellent way to introduce one to the wines of the Hunter Valley and all the wineries visited offered a wide selection of wines. The visit to the vodka distillery is good even if you think you don’t like vodka as the range of flavours is tremendous.
Lunch was a highlight but overall the trip is well worth it.

From the start, it was an amazing day trip. Our driver was "Cheeks" or David when his mom is angry haha. He was amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable. The vineyards were so charming and the wine tastings were great. We had the opportunity to enjoy, learn, and even meet other nice people. The 3 different wineries offered different experiences and different learning such as cheese and wine pairing, or chocolate and wine pairing. The distillery offered nice gin and flavoured vodka. Fun tour and highly recommended.

The tour guide Sam was so welcoming and happy getting to know everyone and making sure we had a good time.
He is such an amazing tour guide who somehow kept us entertained for the entire time including the 3 hour drive to and from the hunter.
The wines and the cheese pairings were so amazing and I absolutely loved the distillery.
This tour gave me such a relaxing and amazing experience.

The tour was very nice, I had a lovely time!
Our driver was super friendly, he made a few extra stops for us to take some pictures at nice view spots and also to see some kangaroos. The wine tasting and distillery were great, I learned a lot of new things, and the restaurant we had lunch was also very nice. Our group also got along well together.
I definitely recommend it!
