The bus trip from Queenstown is long but breathtakingly beautiful. The Milford Mariner was a grand old and beautiful ship. We could be inside or out and it was ample room for everyone onboard. The guide was awesome. Real Journeys did an excellent job

By now you may have read about the Milford Sound tour that missed convoy time slot to pass through the road destroyed by the floods. The Milford Road is operating under strict convoy conditions. Our tour was 10 minutes late to make the 12:00 entrance. The gates where locked

Kia Ora. We appreciate you taking the time to pass on your feedback. The recent weather conditions and resultant effects on the road have proven to be challenging for tour operators and guests alike. As a result there are times where we need to be able to deal with the unexpected and it's good to hear that although your day didn't run as you had anticipated, that you felt looked after in difficult circumstances. We hope the rest of your holiday runs smoothly and that you have the opportunity to return and experience Milford Sound out on the water with us one day. Kind Regards - The Team at Real Journeys.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the convoy timings affected your Milford Sound experience. The severe weather event in the Milford Road area of Fiordland on 3 February caused sudden and large disruptions to everyone operating in Milford Sound. The strict convoy times implemented soon afterwards occasionally led to shortened cruise times to ensure customers made it out of Milford Sound in time for the next convoy. However, the convoy times have recently increased and we do not anticipate our cruise duration will be affected by the convoy schedule in the future. Thanks again from the team at Real Journeys.

I appreciate that the road to Milford had only been open 6 days we visited with the need for convoys but I don’t think the organisation was very good not helped by the fact that when we were trying to check in I was having prove that I had booked as the staff had managed to

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the convoy timings and weather affected your Milford Sound experience. The severe weather event in the Milford Road area of Fiordland on 3 February caused sudden and large disruptions to everyone operating in Milford Sound. The strict coach convoy times implemented soon afterwards occasionally led to shortened cruise times to ensure customers made it out of Milford Sound in time for the next convoy. We are updating the information on our booking confirmation and website as often as possible, but we apologise again if you missed our message that at this time, glass-roof coaches cannot be guaranteed and, due to the scheduled coach departure times, cruise times may differ. We can assure you that we would not have cancelled your flight due to the number of passengers booked on it, it certainly would have been cancelled due to the weather, which is often changeable and rainy in Fiordland. The convoy times have recently increased and we do not anticipate our cruise duration will be affected by the convoy schedule in the future. Thanks again from the team at Real Journeys.
