I persuaded some friends to become tourists in their own city for a change and we are all so glad that we did. We went on the Fremantle Explorer package and had such a great day. The cruise was wonderful, such a lovely boat with very interesting commentary. Never knew there was so much to know about our beautiful river. We got off in Fremantle, had lunch and a walk around and then returned to Perth on the boat. Dolphin sightings on the boat on the way home just topped things off perfectly. A great day had by all!

Comfortable 75 minute cruise with excellent narration by the Captain. Arrive early to access best seating close to windows or at rear of boat. Drinks and snacks available. We took some UK friends who enjoyed the trip. A good way to get to Freo from the city, in time for a nice lunch in the port town. Recommended.

Pretty crowded boat on the outward journey. Lovely staff, very helpful. Biggest disappointment was that the commentary was almost impossible to understand so missed a lot.

We very much enjoyed the tour . The views of the Swan River from the boat were amazing. We enjoyed the commentary and the crew entertainment on the way back to the jetty. They had good voices. People were dancing and having a good time on the way back. The food was tasty and the wine tasting was good. Mondoon winery was picturesque. This is a great way to spend a day in Perth.

Great food, attentive staff and good entertainment along with a lovely cruise on the Swan. We enjoyed every minute of it.

Lovely food tailored perfectly to our dietary preferences eaten in comfortable accommodation on board. The Swan River scenery is beautiful and the wines were well selected. The crew were attentive while serving food and drinks on the outward journey and very entertaining on the return journey.

It was a great night, great company, some amazing views of Perth from being on the Swan River. Definitely a great experience.

We had a great trip down the Swan River from Perth to Fremantle. The boat was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly. We sat on the back deck watching the city pass us by. My only comment would be that the commentary wasn't very clear on the outside speakers.

Very pleasant ride on smooth water with a bit of description of features we passed by. Boat not full so viewing was easy. Nice A/C inside. An OK ride on an OK river from Perth Quay to Fremantle & return. The phenomenon is keeping Swan River as part of the community—too shallow for industrial use. Lots of marinas & yacht clubs, wind surfers, small boats. Very pleasant afternoon on the water!

This is our second time now doing this cruise and we honestly can’t fault them. First time was for my son’s 21st and we found it super relaxing and educational. The most recent time was for my Dads final wish and to celebrate his birthday, he was in a wheelchair and the crew was amazing, even though this was a busy trip the crew was always super helpful.

If this was simply a ferry transfer from Perth city to Fremantle then I would rate it 5*. However it is sold as a “tour” and as such it is useless. The boat is mostly enclosed and caters for people purchasing their lunch package. We did not include lunch and wanted to sit outside to enjoy the views. There are clearly insufficient seats nor space to accommodate all passengers making it very uncomfortable. The commentary provided was inaudible and no written version available which was the most disappointing aspect. Therefore it was simply an expensive ferry ride. Poor form from Captain Cook cruises. They should do better.

This was a thank you for two friends, for the support they gave me when I had breast cancer. I added the option to have the cheese platter. I was pleasantly surprised it came out on a plate and not the pre packaged I expected. We sat out side so could not hear the cometary. but that is to be expected. We had a great time. I would highly recommend the trip if you have visitors and want to show off Perth.

This review relates to the New Years Dinner cruise. Firstly the positives…..booking process was efficient and we were advised we would be seated in a semi outdoor area…no problem. Fireworks were excellent and food was acceptable. The negatives…. Boarding was slow, as the person boarding us had a list of boarders and the seating map, but it would have saved a lot of time if an alphabetical list of guests was available with the table numbers cross referenced, or even better…a simple cross reference of customer bar code to table number. The app on each table recommended for ordering drinks simlply did not work, causing frustration amongst the majority of guests, and the need to go to the bar to order. Not a real problem, except we were told we needed to use the App to avoid queues at the bar. The credit card payment system at the bar was unreliable. Fortunately I had cash but other guests were not so fortunate. There was no count down or commentary for midnight, which was very poor for New Years Eve. Fortunately guests improvised themselves. Simple improvements could make this a very memorable evening (for the right reasons)

Nice cruise with the right amount of commentary. There were some parties that were drinking a bit and loud, so it could be hard to hear at times, but overall nice experience.

Was amazing crew friendly and really helpful dinner and desserts 10 plus even the entertainment was amazing top job guys well done
