The aboriginal communities were interesting as was the pearl farm. This was quite different to Willie Creek and I recommend seeing both to get the ful storyWritten December 31, 2024
- SteveK36740 contributionsGreat Island TourWell run bus trip around the island, great commentary from Glenn. An excellent way to get to see the island especially if you are time limited and want to catch the highlights without the crowding of the hop on hop off busses.. - karenm6420 contributionsFabulousOkay, so we did four Australian pinnacle tours with this company in the week that we are in Perth.. so the first one was to the actual pinnacles and a Benedictine church complex, the second one was to Margaret River, and winery and Beenleigh and a host of other places, the third one was to have a tour around Perth and Fremantle and go to Kings Park botanical Gardens, and the fourth one was to Rottnest Island via the large boat and then a tour for the day.. So I’ll just give a broad overview which is excellent. This company is run so well, they are very well organised and nothing is missed, and everything is double checked and they are perfectly on time every time they have to pick you up or take you back. The tours are all interesting although a few of them were very very long days but that’s just the nature of the beast when you have long distances to go. These things we could not have done by ourselves so we certainly appreciated this company having excursions to these places.. our bus driver/tour guides, in each case was absolutely amazing.. their knowledge was fantastic and their skill at driving and their friendliness was outstanding. Most of the drivers gave lots of information but then lots of time just to reflect and look at the window. My only criticism of one was that whilst he was a lovely chap he never shut up for one minute. Information overload and quite a few people were groaning as well.. it felt like we were going to a university lecture for eight hours. But he was a lovely fellow and he did give us about an hours break on a 12 hour day.. 😂. The other thing I might mention is that one driver that picked us up after the Rottnest Island tour that ended in Hillary’s boat Harbour… for some reason at the end of the day he was in a foul mood or something had happened and he drove rather dangerously. His bus said Quokka coach tours. But it obviously had been organised through Australian pinnacle tours.. we were actually quite frightened on this bus because he was not concentrating and talking angrily on the phone and looking down at his feet at times and when he looked up he was almost rear ending the car in front. Once I recognised a place in Perth, I got off the bus.. but that is not the typical thing for the pinnacle bus coach drivers who were exemplary in their work. Some of our excursions had meals and they were very very good and I am a vegetarian and they knew that and already had catered for myself and others who had dietary requirements. They looked after us with always having cool water and sometimes we would have afternoon tea and they would have hot tea and coffee and biscuits and things in their coach.. we were tired after all of these but we’ve realised we would never of seen these things without these people and their excellent company.Written December 18, 2024
- 100loise0 contributionsHorribleThis was the worst tour we have ever taken. York was nice but we only had 25 mins. Hours and hours of wheat fields. The Aboriginal Culture was a small cave with a three-minute story about a cannibal. There was no wildflower cafe or shop. It was the rundown Wave Rock visitors center. Lunch was doled out - two pieces of BBQ chicken with about three tablespoons of meat on them, a third of a cup of rice, chunks of torn off iceberg lettuce, sliced beets and pineapple with a loaf of sliced white bread thrown on the table. We walked away hungry. Wave Rock was what you see in the pictures, worth of five minutes of your time unless you want to take dozens of selfies while fighting off the hoards of flies. Don't believe the description.Written December 15, 2024

- 910aarthig0 contributionsMeh…For the price the overall experience was average but justified to make up for the fuel given it’s an 800km journey to and fro. Lunch ended being sandwiches as they accidentally gave away our lunch to another tour group so this should have been managed better if charging so much especially when we were all so hungry and the timing was already delayed. Beck our guide was lovely and the 3 stars is just for herWritten November 21, 2024

I booked the trip by phone the morning of the tip and was given a pick up spot and was expected which indicates good organisation. We were taken to the Casino were you change buses for your trip.
The trip had all the included items. First was a wildlife park were you can get photographed patting a wombat, koala and kangaroo. Then we headed for the sand dunes were you could sand board with the free sands boards provided and then a 4WD of the sand dune.
Off to Cervantes for lunch. There is a short tour of the lobster factory followed by lunch. You can pay more for the lobster rather than fish and chips. I stayed with fish and chips which came with salad.
After lunch off to the pinnacles which is an interesting site of 100’s of petrified wood tree remains. A fascinating site which includes a visit to the souvenir shop.
Finally a trip back to Perth in which most people dozed off after a really good day. The commentary was very good
I enjoyed the tour and made some new friends and highly recommend Adam’s Tours the operator. A really good day

This was a 15 hour round trip on a luxury coach with Australian Pinnacles Tours. They go to a few places outside of Perth. I have been on a few over the past 10 years. This trip was my 3rd trip to the pinnacles. The driver was a safe driver, the coach comfortable and Brian (driver) gave a good description of the landscape and history.
The pinnacles are beautiful to look at. We had lunch at Lobster shack where they have a factory and restaurant which you get an interesting tour around before eating the wonderful meal. This is really 3 reviews in one. I recommend the tour company. Oh on the way we stopped at caversham wildlife park and saw some of the wildlife which was pretty cool. There was also sand dune riding in a 4wd bus north of Perth. Which I didn’t do but everyone else did and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great Job, pinnacles tours.

I was promptly picked up from the hotel at 7.20AM and transferred to the central meeting point. There it was a bit hectic as different guests had to transfer to different tourbuses, however there was sufficient staff to arrange everyhing.
It is a long tour, visiting the Koalas, Sandboarding/4WD, pinnacles and a lunch. In total the amount of km is around 500, so you will sit in the bus for some time. The guide was very good. Gave a lot of info, but fortunately not too much. Back in Perth around 7.00PM

The stars - wow ! From this experience one becomes aware of how light pollution has spoilt the view of the night sky. Pick up from.Elizabeth Quay, its a long coach ride, but we had been advised not to drive ourselves because of the kangaroo! Yanchrp Nat Park was a lovely stop, Koala and Roos. Pinnacles not as tall as I thought, but very interesting although some idiots thought theyd be clever and climb them. The sky was as clear as could be. It was very very cold 11th Nov '22. Dinner at the Cervantes Bar & Bistro was excellent, we thought, with a coach full food wouldn't be much & probably lukewarm - how wrong we were. Fish n chips perfectly cooked, light & crispy battery. Our driver and guide were very knowledgeable & kept us amused. Not a cheap trip, but we enjoyed the experience. Also, this company were very helpful on drop off points, making sure there was a taxi close by when we got off the coach.

We did two tours with Australian Pinnacles Tours. This one and Wave rock. I’m glad we did both but if time/money was a factor I’d do this one. It gave a great overall experience. We got to go to a very nice wildlife park and saw the typical Australian animals. We did sandboarding and the desert was amazing. The bus was comfortable and tour operators were very organised. Shout out to Rob who organised the sand boarding. You could tell he loved his job and conveyed his passion to us. The Pinnacles Desert is a unique place and highly recommend visiting when in WA. The lunch provided was good. The only negative was the lobster tour. It wasn’t very interesting and wished we would have been given time to wander in Cervantes rather than doing that tour.

"We had an incredible time on our Pinnacles tour in Perth! Nick, our driver and tour guide, truly made the experience unforgettable. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and friendly nature added so much value to the trip. The Sandboarding & 4WD itenaries were enjoyably awesome. The Pinnacles were absolutely breathtaking, and Nick ensured we had ample time to explore and capture beautiful moments. He had also ensured that our lunch was delivered fast when there was a mixed up to one of our order. Kudos to him for doing the chased up and keeping us informed, which had prevented delay to the group’s next tour😃
We are grateful for his excellent service and the amazing experience he provided. Thank you, Nick, for making our tour truly memorable!" 👏👏👏

I regret to rate this experience with only 3 stars due to a significant letdown; our time at the Pinnacles was a mere 30 minutes due to schedule delays. The rest of the tour, including Caversham Wildlife Park and the exhilarating sandboarding, was enjoyable, and the lobster shack served a delightful lunch. However, the brief stop at the Pinnacles meant we had scarcely enough time to disembark and snap a quick photo of the nearest formations. It’s unclear if this rush was to manage the various tour groups efficiently, but the limited time to appreciate the stunning geological wonders was truly disappointing.

Thank you for taking the time to review our tour, and it is great to hear that you enjoyed your day with us at Lancelin, and your tour of Caversham Wildlife Park. We are sorry though to hear that your time at the Pinnacles Desert was limited on this day. The timings for our tours are unfortunately strict by necessity, as we cover a lot of the region on our day tours, and on this occasion some unforeseeable delays reduced the time we had available for the Pinnacles desert group.
We can understand that this would have limited your time to enjoy this spectacular location, and do apologize for any inconvenience caused. We will look to review these timings and work to improve this for our future tour departures.
Thank you again for taking the time to review our service, and we hope to welcome you onboard a tour with us again soon.

We did 2 tours with Adams during our stay in Perth.
First tour wildlife Park, 4wd & pinnacles. We found traveling in the 4wd truck for the full day uncomfortable considering we only spent 10 minutes 4wd on the sandhills. Loved the wildlife park & the pinnacles. Only letdown was the tour at the Rock lobster plant was a waste of time as they weren't processing, time would have been spent better just having lunch as by this time it was 2.30pm & we had been on the road since 7.30am. Also we weren't given the option of upgrading our lunch where other travelers were on booking.
Second tour Busselton & Margaret River. A very long but enjoyable day. The tour was 14 hours & we traveled 740km.
Very comfortable bus & great driver. Great lunch stop & we have seen a great variety of things available in the area. Disappointed that Margaret River Township is at 4.45pm when all the shops are closing. It was mentioned that there would be a break at a Roadhouse on the way back but the only food available was KFC & very slow service. This should be mentioned about the stop so travellers could get something in Coles before leaving Margaret River.

An enjoyable experience - the sand dunes are great and the wildlife park visit was brilliant, the pinnacles less so. The lunch was good too. Bring lots of sunscreen, you're going to need it.

My family of 4 adults will arrive in Perth on 20 June 2024. We would like to do a Pinnacles Desert tour. The stargazing tour seems popular. But will it be too cold for late June, especially for people from the topics? Will a day tour of the dessert be a better choice?

Is this trip is one day trip? Can we get to see the sunset and the stars on the sky at night?
Written August 20, 2019
Yes, a day trip. Depending on which package you get, it may be about 10-12 hours. I guess it depends on the season you go, you may catch the sunset. We did when we went in June. But no, you won’t stay long enough to catch the stars. Hope this helps. Enjoy yourself!
