Overview
Get views of the Koombana Bay scenery and dolphins in the wild on this cruise from Bunbury. Let your skipper guide the way to parts of the bay where the dolphins feed and relax, and listen to commentary about their biology and behavior. Special respect is paid to the welfare of the dolphins and the skipper will be sure not to disturb their natural behaviors.
What to Expect

This ultimate wildlife experience will ensure you have the opportunity to see wild dolphins in their own environment. Departing the Dolphin Discovery Centre, you will take out on the boat and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Koombana Bay, the home of Bunbury's bottlenose dolphins.

You can expect to see almost anything on the cruise as the wild dolphins will continue their normal day-to-day life, and each cruise will differentiate between each other. Watch them socialise, play, fight, mate and feed.

The centre has an informative skipper on-board who may give commentary along the way and is available to help with any questions as well as the dolphins identification. There are a few known areas of the bay that the dolphins are often found either feeding or relaxing. The skipper will ensure that each area is visited if needed to see all different behaviours of a wild dolphin.

As the welfare of the dolphins is their priority, your experience will consider the activities and behaviour of the dolphins at all times. This means you get to experience nature at its best, knowing that your tour is having the lowest possible impact on the individual dolphins and their population.

The tour includes free admission to the Dolphin Discovery Centre and their informative discovery room where you may join their friendly volunteer team in feeding the small aquarium animals either before or after your cruise departs.

Bookings are essential to avoid disappointment.

Mid week visit

Small well run attraction. Helpful knowledgeable staff. Keen to show visitors the exhibits and feeding time was fun to watch. Good value for money. Shutting down till Dec 18 for upgrading. Should be even better.

Enjoyed this very informative dolphin cruise. The skipper was knowledgeable, informative and humorous and there were dolphins galore including young calves. A must for any visitor and suitable for young and old alike. Great to know profits support dolphin research and the Discovery Centre.More
