Overview

Explore the scenic and historic Dandenong Ranges during this 6-hour day trip from Melbourne. Learn about the history of the local Aboriginal people and view their art at the William Ricketts Sanctuary, and take a walk through the tranquil forest before tucking into a gourmet lunch. This small-group tour is limited to only three guests to ensure personalized service and a more intimate experience.

What to Expect

Soon after meeting your guide at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Melbourne, hop aboard the vehicle with your small group of no more than three people and listen to informative commentary from your guide as you journey into the Dandenong Ranges.

The first stop is William Ricketts Sanctuary, where you enjoy a serene walk through the forest and admire Aboriginal sculptures. Discover the inspiration behind the pieces and learn a bit about the local culture.

Head to a local restaurant for a delicious gourmet meal before driving into the mountains. Make your way to the quiet fern tree forest and walk amongst the eucalyptus trees, appreciating the serenity and beautiful scenery while keeping an eye out for the elusive, ground-dwelling lyrebird.

Return to Melbourne around 4:30pm, leaving plenty of time to rest up and enjoy your evening in the city.
