      Great Bus Trip
Picked up at Novotel and embarked on a day tour to Byron Bay. The driver should be on MasterMind or similar show as his knowledge on just about everything was extensive and all the information he had on the areas driving down to Byron was invaluable, definitely a one in a million tour guide. Stopped off at Lighthouse to get some great views and then dropped off at Central Byron to explore and the driver came back in the afternoon to collect us. What a great day and a highly recommended day to book in with this bus company.

Great tour bus experience & great day at the Australia Zoo!!
Tour bus driver was great!! Very nice, organized & got us to & from Australia Zoo in a timely manner!! Bus was kept nice & clean as well & we were given clear directions for when we were both picked up & dropped off! The Australia Zoo was fantastic & I loved being able to see so many different animals up close I’ve never seen before!!! Definitely recommend!!

The zoo was great but I can’t believe the bus company is in business
Late picking us up, dumped us off the bus far away from our hotel after the tour was over. The bus was 45 minutes late picking us up in Brisbane. The driver claimed he was late due to traffic. I’m from Los Angeles; Brisbane traffic is like driving on a country road. The zoo itself was terrific, even though our time was shortchanged due to the driver’s lateness. On the way back, instead of returning to Brisbane by the same route he left, the driver found a spot in downtown Brisbane across the river from where he picked us up, surrounded by skyscrapers so we could not get our bearings by comparing the location of the sun to the time in our watch, stopped the bus, stood up, and ordered the Brisbane passengers to get off the bus. I suppose I should be thankful that he didn’t toss us into the river or leave us by the side of the road somewhere along the way. Fortunately one of our iPhones still had enough power left after an afternoon taking pictures at the zoo. So with some difficulty, we determined our location in Google Maps and concocted a route through the Botanical Gardens and across the Goodwill Bridge. We are well accustomed to finding our way in unfamiliar surroundings, but the couple who was with us was not, and was hysterical during the trek back to the other side of the river. They barely spoke English and the walk back was strenuous for them. Judging by the other negative reviews of the transport, this is just how JPT intends to operate. Nevertheless the zoo itself was worthwhile; the staff there was pleasant and helpful. My favorite part was the birds who would try to steal our lunches. They were delightful!

      Not worth it
A very long ride, over 3 hours each way without any toilet stop. The zoo itself was okay, just a typical zoo. Nothing worth spending an entire day for.

Late and very poor service if you could find another company you would be way better off
Buses need maintenance, driver needs some manners, they need to communicate more with the customers and between themselves

No toilet stop on route….3.1/2 hour journey
No toilet stop on route. 3.1/2 hour journey from Gold Coast and when we got to the zoo the toilets by the entrance were closed due to maintenance . Would suggest the Gold Coast pick up is direct without stops in Brisbane to speed up the journey time . The zoo was amazing but for the whole day the time on the bus added up to more than that was spent at the zoo

      No information given- at all!
This should be the easiest task ever: pick up the right amount of people from the hotel, get everyone inside the park and pick up the right amount of people for the return. In spite of being two people, one “guide” and one driver, they didn’t manage to give any information! All of the passengers had to ask for tickets to the zoo, even these were paid for in advance. When leaving the park, they had no plan on how to make sure all of the passengers were on the bus. Actually two of the passengers didn’t belong to this group at all😄 Coming all the way from Norway, it would be nice with some information about the park, surrounding area and so on…

australia zoo brilliant, JPT below mediocre.
Australia Zoo was brilliant. the trip to/from Australia Zoo was a nightmare! taking 4 hours to arrive and 3.5 to return which meant passengers spent more time on the tour bus than in the AZ. i will not use use JPT tours ever again. so the pickup from gold coast areas was ok, the motorway, because of an accident, came to a standstill in a particular section, then driver made 6-8 pickup stops in Brisbane. Then dropped one person at a particular destination before finally setting off for the zoo. 4 HOURS!!! returning driver popped into tangalooma!!!!! to pick up a ferry passenger where we were parked for some considerable time, then head to bris to passenger dropoffs, then finally we headed to the gold coast arriving around 8pm. i boarded the tour bus at 0650 and returned home around 8.15pm. a lot of passengers which were disgruntled with the JTP service??? me included.

      cancelled trip
We had been told our tour could not go ahead and we had to go the next day, which is fine. Except that when we showed up the next day our name wasn’t even on the list to get onto the bus let alone the zoo. I tried to communicate with the company that organised the tour but have heard nothing back

Excellent: value for money! Must do
One of my friend recommended this tour! It’s a great tour with good instructors! Unfortunately, they cancel it due to less people opting for it! I think if one would sign up for this tour, then they’ll have good & pleasant experience & memories of nature & lamington national park.

      Not too bad
The zoo itself was great! We did arrive late but and our driver told us we were leaving the zoo between 3:15-3:30 when it was advertised we would be picked up at 4pm. So our time at the zoo was cut short due to being late to arrive at the zoo and leaving early

Day tour of Oreilys and Lamington national parks.
Tour guide David was very informative and polite. Day consisted of him showing us to many great locations, perfect for anybody wanting to learn the Hinterlands area, would do this again!

      No show. Didnt collect me.
Ive paid for the tangalooma Island experience. I was supposed to be collected at 6.55am Saturday morning. I actually had this date sprung on me due to me booking for Wednesday. My bday drinks cut short last night as we didnt want to be foggy. Im still in the lobby its now 7:30. No one is answering the phones, responding to emails or messages. Im supposed to catch a ferry onto the island but i cannot contact them until 9am which will likely be late as the journey from surfers to Brisbane is an hour. Upset and confused as to what im supposed to do now. What a waste of money $289 waste of a day and i should have stayed out with my friends lasg night..... devisated.

      Poor Communication
Did the Australia Zoo tour on Thursday 29th April. Would be good if the Driver could speak at least a few words in English and had some manners!.. he was rude on the phone to other people and they could not understand anything he said. Just a bit disappointing....

The brochure for this tour at our hotel said the group would be from 10-12 people. Our group had 22 people and the experience suffered greatly for this. After getting picked up we went to 6 more hotels picking up more guests. Our guide had trouble finding one of the hotels so the pick ups took 45 boring minutes. The van had very small crowded seats. It was a long drive to the glow worms. We spent about 15 minutes looking at them. Then we had a guided tour through the dark forest. The path was rather narrow and there were so many people that the people in rear half of the line could hear nothing the guide was saying and had no idea what she was pointing to in the dark. A complete waste of time. The star gazing was also worthless. Although the sky was clear, I see more stars when I look out my San Diego apartment. Then a long dark boring drive home to the many hotels. Again the brochure said 10-12 people. We had 22. I felt ripped off.

Our brochure doesn't say how many people will be on board? We have all sizes of coaches from 15 seaters to 60-seaters and cater to large groups sometimes and small groups sometimes. August is a popular holiday season for the Japanese so we have been very busy showing them Springbrook National Park, the Natural Arch and the Glow Worm Colony. The commentary is in the cave when the group are still, not on the walk into the cave. I actually find the walk in quite an adventure!! But we are all different hey. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your tour. If you return, do let me know and I'll choose for you next time!... with JPT's compliments of course!

Brilliant little trip. The driver I had on the Saturday 5th Oct at 18:30 was very friendly and willing to talk to people, you could tell he knew what he was talking about throughout. The stargazing was good, would be even better on a crystal clear sky!

Never saw glow worms before, so it was out first time. Drove up Tambourine Mountains, bought tickets and had a tour. Nothing fanciful for those expecting a big cave. Upon entering the gate, we were first brought to a room where we watched a video about glow worms. Next we had to wear a glow in the dark lanyard before entering the next room to make sure we know someone is in front of us as inside the cave is pitch dark.

Thank you Isabelle! We are so lucky to be licensed to visit Springbrook National Park's rare glow worm colony living in the Natural Arch Cave. There is a reliable manmade glow worm you can visit but its pretty hard to top the rainforest experience we offer. Regards, Allison @ JPT

After hotel pick up by JPT tour mini van we drove to the Natural bridge with our very experienced driver guide who painstakingly had to repeat every word in Japanese after English for the Japanese guests with us. The commentary was an amazing insight into history and geography of the area. It's not for people who are looking for an action packed trip. Recommend for those wanting to experience the wonders of nature
