Learn to Scuba Dive on the Great Barrier Reef: 4-Day PADI Open Water Dive Course
US$455.99
Overview
The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest reef system and there are few better places on earth to learn to scuba dive. This 4-day PADI Open Water Dive course offers the ideal introduction, with expert instruction both in and out of the water, two full-day scuba diving excursions along the Great Barrier Reef including lunch on-board, and official PADI dive certification upon completion of the course.
What to Expect
The PADI Open Water course is the leading certification course for scuba divers and suitable for complete beginners. During your 4-day training course, spend the first two days learning the theory with fun and education classroom lessons, as well as training sessions in a swimming pool to practice basic scuba diving skills, safety drills, and correct ascending and descending techniques.

Once you are fully prepared, put your skills to the test in the open waters of the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy two full-day cruises, each including two guided scuba dives—a total of four incredible dives—and experience the underwater wonders of the UNESCO-listed reef. During your dives, glide past blankets of vibrant coral, swim through schools of tropical fish, and look out for marine life such as reef sharks, sting rays, and sea turtles. Your instructor will be with you every step of the way to ensure that you stay safe and maximise your chances of spotting marine life. Both cruises include a delicious BBQ buffet lunch served on-board.

Upon completion of the course, you will receive your PADI Open Water Dive Certificate, which allows you to scuba dive up to a depth of 60 feet (18 meters), join certified dive tours or rent diving equipment, and take part in advanced PADI diving courses.
