Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary Admission with Brisbane River Cruise
From US$59.08

Combine a visit to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary with a cruise on the Brisbane River on this stress-free tour. Booking this pleasant way to travel to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary means no fussing with public transportation or car rentals—you can sit back and relax on your scenic cruise. Admission to the sanctuary is included, where you'll have three hours to learn about native Australian wildlife and admire species such as koalas and kangaroos.

What to Expect

Make your way to the Southbank district of Brisbane to catch your departing river cruise. Simply sit back and relax as the boat passes Brisbane's city skyline and out into the suburbs. On the way, listen to your captain's educational commentary about the river and its surroundings.

Arrive at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, where you can proceed directly inside with your prepurchased admission ticket. View the more than 130 bears that reside there, as well as the Eastern Water Dragons, huge lizards that stroll the grounds. Watch the Birds of Prey Show, and take in the action at the working sheepdog show. Your tour also includes the bonus of admission to the Platypus House, a great place to observe the unique duck-billed platypus.

If you get hungry or need refreshments, meals and drinks are available both on the cruise and at the sanctuary (own expense).

Return to Brisbane the way you came, at Southbank.

Miramar Cruise

Absolutely stunning river and sanctuary cruise. The crew on the Miramar 2 know how to make you feel welcomed. Blankets were provided, if you sat on the upper deck on a cold morning. A fully stocked boat for drinks and beverages.

Informative cruise coupled with animals you can see and touch

The commentary provided during the 1 hour 10 minute cruise to the sanctuary was very informative and the seats are comfortable. The kangaroos have a large roaming area, which is better than having them confined in cages. The live shows (sheep dog herding and handling...More
