Stradbroke Island Day Trip from Brisbane
US$117.40
Overview
Get a comprehensive experience at Stradbroke Island on this full-day trip from Brisbane. With all details taken care of and a curated list of island highlights, you'll surely see the best of the best without doing legwork and research. A small group of 13 people ensures personalized attention from your guide, as you search for native wildlife, take a short hike, visit historic towns, and swim in lakes and oceans.
What to Expect
Hop on a coach in Brisbane. Relax on the roughly 1-hour ride and enjoy the scenery on the way to the North Stradbroke Island ferry terminal. Catch the ferry across Moreton Bay to Stradbroke, where you'll embark on a specially curated tour of the top sights without worrying about timetables, directions, or navigation.

Stop first at Brown Lake, where you can take a dip or relax on the lakeshore beach. Head over to Myora Springs and learn about its significance to the local Aboriginal people before heading out for a guided walk on the coastal North Gorge Trail. Keep your eye out for migrating humpback whales, turtles, manta rays, and dolphins when you reach Point Lookout, a great spot for photos. In the forest, look for koalas and kangaroos lounging in their natural environment.

Next, visit Stradbroke Island Hotel for an included lunch. Then visit the towns of Amity and Dunwich, as well as Frenchman’s Beach and Cylinder Beach. In the afternoon, you’re free to explore the island at your leisure, a nice balance to the guided portion of your tour.

Vacations

This was one of the most beautiful tours. After 2 weeks in Australia, this tour was definitely something to remember, if you have a chance to go, take many pictures. The views are unforgettable.

Best day trip in Brisbane

This tour is amazing, and much of that is due to Harrison. He is so knowledgeable about the island and about Queensland in general. We saw koalas, kangaroos, turtles, and manta rays in the wild. Great tour to take!

I would think you could make it depending on where your leaving from. But the previous posts were correct in the 4-5pm time getting you back into town. Have fun.
