Typically we start the Season on 1st March, with our Nourlangie and Yellow waters Itinerary, in Kakadu's Central Region, due to Wet Season rains making the East Alligator and Arnhem Land Region inaccessible. This runs until about the end of April, when we switch to our Ubirr and Guluyambi itinerary, which usually operates until early October. At some point in October we usually switch back to Nourlangie and Yellow Waters again. (When the rains start, exactly when this will be, is unpredictable and different every year.) We offer selected departures in November and then we close the public tours December, Jan and Feb every year, due to consistent heavy rains that create road closures and flooding. All of our itineraries may change at the last minute due to weather and cultural reasons. Sometimes we have less than 24 hours notice ourselves, so it is not possible to commit to any itinerary fully in advance. Road and location closures can happen at any time of the year, not necessarily following exactly a Wet/ Dry Season calendar and in response to cultural events. We are a small flexible team here at Offroad Dreaming and can work together with National Parks to find alternative, accessible areas. Where possible we will always provide a similar experience in a different region, whilst not the same, can offer you views and activities covering the same interests.
