Gold Coast Lamington National Park and Tamborine Mountain 4WD Ecotour
From US$107.57
Overview
Explore the World Heritage-listed rain forest of the Gold Coast hinterland on this full-day tour to Lamington National Park. Rumble along remote tracks in a 4WD vehicle, soak up spectacular views from the summit of Tamborine Mountain and explore the subtropical rain forest on a guided nature walk. At O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat, get a closer look at native plants, birds and even koalas on an elevated treetop walk. A traditional Aussie barbecue lunch and hotel pickup and drop-off from Gold Coast complete this fantastic eco-adventure.
What to Expect
Travel off the beaten path to explore the subtropical beauty of the Gold Coast hinterland. After pickup at your hotel, travel in a rugged 4WD vehicle along an original pioneer trail to the summit of Tamborine Mountain. Make a pit stop at Gallery Walk for morning tea service with scones and cream, plus a chance to browse locally made arts and crafts.
Continue on to Lamington National Park, part of the World Heritage-listed Godwana Rainforests. Explore the park on a guided nature walk, and learn how local Aboriginal people sourced food and medicine from the forest.
Midday, stop at Spring Valley for a traditional barbecue lunch served with Australian wine. (See Itinerary below for a sample menu.) Enjoy free time to try your hand at local pastimes like boomerang and whip-cracking, and take a dip in a nearby rock pool if you like.
In the afternoon, visit O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat — a family-owned nature resort. Choose from a variety of activities such as hand-feeding birds or the popular treetop walk, where you can stroll across elevated boardwalks for an up-close glimpse of native flora and fauna. You might even spot a koala sleeping in the trees!
Relax on the scenic return drive through wallaby-inhabited pastures to Gold Coast, where your full-day tour concludes with hotel drop-off in the early evening.

Great experience

It contained various activities and the tour guide provided various information and he was kind enough to provide necessary guidance through all activities. I'm a non-native English speaker (Asian), not so sociable, and joined the tour alone but I definitely enjoyed it.More

I'm not sure, We found the staff / company very accommodating so I'm guessing yes. A quick call / email to them is suggested. Have fun!
