Agus was the man. He promptly picked us up from our hotel in Ubud at 5:00AM and took us to the Lempuyang Temple, about 2 hours from Ubud. Note you will need cash to pay for the shuttle that takes you from the parking lot to the Lempuyang Temple. Agus kept us very entertained the whole time and even surprised us with a local treat! He shared a lot about Bali and the culture. Be prepared to wait a bit to take the iconic photo, we waited about 2 hours when we arrived around 7:00AM.
Following our visit to the Temple, we drove for about 1 hour to Blue Lagoon Snorkeling. Such a great experience and the best snorkeling I've ever done. Capped our trip off at a coffee plantation with plenty of free samples.
Again, Agus was the man and incredibly kind. I highly recommend this tour! He made sure we were comfortable and safe and we really enjoyed spending our day with him.

This tour was the highlight of our trip. The driver/owner (Made) could not have been more amazing for taking us around in his comfortable vehicle stocked with bottled waters. He was extremely friendly, a very safe driver and very knowledgeable of the area. He kept the schedule very flexible to meet out family’s needs. The snorkeling was spectacular and we saw beautiful fish and the turtles. The snorkeling crew took over for two hours when we went on the boat and these three men were also extremely friendly. They were very attentive in helping our two teenage girls feel comfortable in the water and helped guide them the entire time. Lunch was very good and our trip to the “Gates of Heaven” was smooth. Great photos were taken there and Made knew all the best spots and angles for these memorable moments. Made offered other stops for us (coffee and dinner) which we passed on due to plans in the evening. Made and the snorkeling crew really went above and beyond and I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to visit these two spots for some amazing experiences!

This was a fantastic tour. If you select 2 people, it is a private tour. The driver Lisa from Bali Local Hosts did a wonderful job of making us feel comfortable and looking after us throughout the day.
In the morning, we were picked up at our hotel and taken direct to the snorkelling site. At the site, we were in a group of other tourists and went out on a boat to the snorkelling site. The snorkelling instructors were very professional and looked after us all - they gave extra attention to the beginner snorkellers (which was most of us).
After the tour, the driver was waiting and picked us up to take us to lunch. The restaurant for lunch had spectacular views of the fields and the food was reasonably priced (compared to our own country Australia) and delicious!
Then we went to the coffee plantation, where we had a tour and tasting.
At the end of the tour, we were due to enter Lempuyang temple. I was not able to enter because I was menstruating at the time. The driver apologised profusely but we did not mind at all, as the tour was a fantastic time! I also didn't want to disrespect the Bali customs.
The driver did a lovely job, we felt very safe and looked after. He was highly professional and kind.

I was sceptical that booking before coming out would be more expensive however, the price of this tour compared to others booked out here is very similar, it is a trusted company and we found it very reliable and would certainly recommend.
We were taken on this trip by Made and he definitely made the the trip for us! Picked up promptly from our hotel and contacted the day before to ensure everything was still ok which I found reassuring. We got to chose the order of the day as to how best it suited the weather and everyone was very accommodating. Snorkelling was fantastic and everyone was very helpful and really made the day stress free. Despite the rain, Made managed to help us still get our perfect photo at the gates of Lempuyang temple. He also treated us to some of the local fruit.
Thank you for a wonderful trip and should we need help on any other excursions we will certainly call Made!

Where to start!! This day tour is everything you would expect and more. We were collected on time in the morning by our guide Wayan Dontking. From the start he brought energy, enthusiasm and a huge smile. Wayan chatted in the way to our snorkelling site with very good English , I learned more today about Bali, some of the traditions, some Balinese words, the sites , than in my 2 weeks here so far .Wayan waited on us attentively and before a fabulous restaurant for lunch took us to buy a shirt for my son 😀 Lunch was excellent and the restaurant was beautifully located overlooking rice fields
On to the temple , where Wayan also kindly treated us to snake fruit, highly recommend !!!
The day was rounded off with Coffee sampling , and all the time Wayan was there to help or answer questions
I can honestly say , our guide today made the trip outstanding and was super good at engaging with my 13 year old son .

We had a wonderful day with Made as our driver. The snorkelling was very colourful and the temple was incredibly beautiful. We also visited a coffee plantation and had lunch at a gorgeous restaurant over looking the rice paddies. As we left from Ubud on a ceremony day with lots of traffic, the whole journey was quite long (13 hrs). However, Made kept us entertained with a wealth of local stories about Balinese history, religion and customs. We would strongly recommend this trip and if you are leaving from Ubud, try and get Made as your driver - he’s hilarious and an absolute gem.

Picked up on time by driver Made, who was an absolute pleasure to spend a day with. Actively volunteered to take photos and was obviously very passionate about his job - taking time to describe the history and culture of not just the attractions, but also the places we passed through. Was also very flexible about arrangements, including when to eat and what order we did the attractions in to maximise our enjoyment.
Thankfully, the infamous lines at the Gate of Heaven were not present, and we got to take our photo with relatively little crowds. Now is perhaps the best time to travel to Bali, given the beautiful weather and the lack of crowds, which really made the experience fell authentic and fulfilling.
Overall, a wonderful day trip with an amazing driver. You would be lucky to get Made on such a trip, but the views were beautiful regardless and I highly recommend making the journey.

We had the best day with our guide Leo! He picked us up from the hotel and was super kind. He called the people from the snorkelling to make sure what time would be the best regarding the weather and waves. We decided to start with the snorkelling. It was amazing. After that, Leo drove us to a good restaurant because we wanted to do a lunch break. Leo is super friendly and open about your needs. Then we finally went to the Lempunyang Temple which looks stunning. We waited some time to take photos but it was totally with it. We also took some photos with Leo. The day ended by having a carpool karaoke on our way back to the hotel with 100% comfort, a lot of laughs and fun!
P.S.: Don’t forget to take some money with you for a tip. You will definitely need it if you have such a good guide like Leo :)

Lempuyang Temple was amazing! So unique and iconic!
First let me say that our tour guide Made (pronounced like “Ma-deh”), was fantastic! The earlier comments were correct. He’s fun, friendly and knowledgeable, with an easy smile. He speaks English so well that it’s effortless, like his driving. It was fun getting to know him and Bali culture through our conversations.
Lempuyang Temple was picture-perfect. We happened to go just before a planned ceremony, so it was decorated in an extra special manner. You may have to wait a little while in line for the many folks waiting to take the classic picture at the gate, but it’s worth it.
My wife loved loved Tanjung Jepun snorkeling even more than Blue Lagoon due to the coral. By the end she saw a sea turtle, a sea snake (or was it a moray eel?), brightly colored tropical fish and a Nemo fish.

It was an amazing and spiritually significant trip to the one of the oldest and most revered Balinese temples. What a view on Mt. Agung from the top of the temple!!!
Our guide, Agus Putra, was an excellent guide and driver. He’s is young and fun but very very professional and knowledgeable. He also understood very well our time constraints and helped us to move between the sites comfortably and safely. We have also visited the Blue lagoon for snorkeling and saw a green turtle and lots of tiger fish.
The entire trip takes about 6-8 hours and Agus was very flexible with our itinerary.
Me and my husband have had a great time yesterday and would definitely recommend this itinerary and Agus to anyone who visits Bali.
Bali is open for business!!! The country has just opened (including direct flights from Dubai and other destinations) so it is not crowded with tourist yet (😁). It’s the best time to come here!
Our guide, Agus Putra, was an excellent guide and driver. He’s is young and fun but very very professional and knowledgeable. He also understood very well our time constraints and helped us to move between the sites comfortably and safely. We have also visited the Blue lagoon for snorkeling and saw a green turtle and lots of tiger fish.
The entire trip takes about 6-8 hours and Agus was very flexible with our itinerary.
Me and my husband have had a great time yesterday and would definitely recommend this itinerary and Agus to anyone who visits Bali.
Bali is open for business!!! The country has just opened (including direct flights from Dubai and other destinations) so it is not crowded with tourist yet (😁). It’s the best time to come here!

Yes, You buy one per person but the boat for snorkeling accommodates up to 12 or 15 I would say. I had a party of 8 and we all fit in one boat but with smaller parties they will combine them to get to the max boat capacity.
Besides the boat, the driver needs to know how many are traveling so he can accommodate the transportation. We had to have two cars but our driver coordinated it all of that. I just bought 8 Lempuyand tours. I hope this helps and that is not too late.
I will be traveling to Bali in about a week. Is it possible to skip the coffee tasting and go to Tirta Gangga instead? Thank you.
