- Explorer0264008315100Amazing Sauna and AvantoI visited with my husband on this winter to the Taide Sauna and it was an incredible experience , the place is super modern , the staff was super friendly and the sauna was beautiful . I went for first time to the Avanto I felt amazing afterwards . I had such and enjoyable time with my husband . Definitely we will come back .
- giedr_j201800Beautiful museum and parkWe visited this museum during the Banksy exhibition. Interesting collection of classic and modern art, definitely worth a visit.
- timol20900Fine museums in the woodsThe Gösta museum had a great Banksy exhibition in summwer 2021. The exhibits, the flow and the information boards opened the world, thinking and excellent execution of Banksy's work in an exciting way. The old manor building exhibits of the finest Finnish classical paintings is outstanding. The architecture and surroundings are very beautiful and functional.
- Na T00An art museum in the forestsAn art museum in the middle of “forest Finland” by a lake, with an absolutely beautiful new wing and a functional old wing (former Serlachius mansion). The permanent collection is well worth seeing and so was the also the Banksy exhibition, especially the video connecting the art to its surroundings. The museum is surrounded by a colourful garden and beautiful park, by a lake.
- paulasD2956GG00Spectacular museum in Finnish lakesideBeautiful museum with excellent collection. Also customer service was wonderful from start to finish.
- Culture1518353349800Serkachius museums are wonderfulThe Banksy exhibition was marcellous. The museums in Mänttä-region are worth to visit. The surroundings are also beautiful
- Finnishworldtraveler00Well worth the tripGreat experience, amazing main “mansion” with the traditional exhibition and well curated special Banksy exhibition
- Aysoli00A pearl of Finland, the nature and the art awaits for you.3 h of riding was worth for a family who hates traveling, we’ll come again! Overnight is necessary I think.
- TeroJoronen00World class experienceThe whole entity is awesome, the architecture, art and excellent food of Gösta restaurant form a world class experience.
- rist0g00Gösta by Serlachius is well worth visitingGösta by Serlachius is definitely worth visiting and seeing. The collections and the changing exhibitions are very good and the new pavilion exceptionally well designed. Restaurant Gösta serves food comparable to just about any in Europe.
- Päivi S00How about the Future, mut To seeThe house architectur was beautiful. The movie about Serlachius Art history was interesting. Petri Eskelinen Toimintamuisti with living videoscreens was exellent. Nanna Hänninen How about the Future, Understanding the Big Picture was something New.
- bl1ng00A must day-trip for art, food & nature loversInteresting exhibitions, excellent restaurant Gösta and wonderful mansion park by the lake. Would probably be best to stay overnight and e.g. rent a bike to explore the surroundings also :)
- Elina S00Mixed qualityA traditional art museum with several exhibitions of mixed quality. Lovely park and a small island to take a stroll if you are visiting at summer time.
- Xtrttvllr00A great museumA kind of a hidden gem - you wouldnt expect such a small place house such a rich collection. Given ties to industrial history and papermills, its safe to say this museum is much better funded and curated than most museums in relatively remote small villages. You can catch samples from Finnish masters (like Gallen-Kallela, Edefelt and Schjerfbeck) and also contemporary art in more frequently changing exhibitions. Beautifull location is a bonus. You should also see their other museum, i think one ticket gives you entrance to both. Sadly we were short on time, so we had to do with just this little piece of magic.
- ttuulari00Excellent experienceOne of the top art museums in Finland. Finnish golden era classics, international works, and contemporary art in the collection. Excellent restaurant and beautiful surroundings.

One of the most interesting museum buildings in Finland. Great combination of old and new architecture. Enjoyable surroundings with well maintained garden and delightful piece of 'wilderness'.
Good exhibitions.
Superb service, I especially liked easy connection from Tampere with Serlachius-buss, which is convenient for visitors travelling without car.

Taidemuseo Gösta tarjoilee tänä kesän mielenkiintoisen kattauksen italialaista nykytaidetta sekä tietysti rakastettuja suomalaisen taiteen kultakauden klassikkoja Simbergiltä, Schjerfbeckiltä, Gallen-Kallelalta, Edelfeltiltä jne. Nykytaiteen näyttelyssä myös suomalaisia taiteilijoita.
Itsenäni puhutteli eniten italialaisen Federico Solmin oivaltavat videot mm. Garibaldista ja Kolumbuksesta sekä mielenkiitoiset lyhytelokuvat. Klassikkonäyttelyssä myös uusia ripustuksia. Klassikkojen rakennuksen viinikellari on näkemisen arvoinen.
This summer, the Gösta Art Museum serves an interesting setting of Italian contemporary art as well as the beloved classics of the golden age of Finnish art. The exhibition of contemporary art also includes Finnish artists. I myself liked the most the insightful videos of the Italian Federico Solmi as well as interesting short films. The wine cellar in the classic building is worth a visit. The Italian The Quest for Happiness exhibition itself is a good reason to go to Mänttä.
The museum's location by the lake, as well as its beautiful milieu and stunningly good food in the Gösta restaurant make a great addition to the art experience. Remember to visit also the art museum Gustaf.
The museum is open all year round and during the summer from 1 June to 31 August. every day from 10 am to 6 pm. Joint ticket for adults to both museums € 10. Discounts for seniors and students as well as free admission e.g. under 18 years of age.
All in all, I warmly recommend at least a day's summer trip to Mänttä and you get the most out when you stay in Mänttä for the night and visit Gösta and Gustaf on different days.

Hei!
Kiitos paljon monipuolisesta ja mainiosta palautteesta! Mukava kuulla, että Onnea etsimässä – Italian nykytaidetta -näyttelystä on löytynyt kiinnostavia teoksia.
Näkemistä Göstassa ja Gustafissa tosiaan riittää, joten yöksi jääminen on oivallinen vinkki, mikäli näyttelyihin haluaa syventyä rauhassa. Lämpimästi tervetuloa uudelleen!
Terveisin, Suvi Rauhala

Another one ticked off my bucket list! Banksy! I never thought he would be shown in Finland... But I was wrong, fortunately. Be there or be square!
