This has been the best ATV experience I’ve ever explored. There were three guides, two leading the pack, one bringing up the rear (on motorcycle) who constantly monitored our group of five to ensure we were in the right gears, monitored street traffic for us, and to rescue us from any minor troubles we might find. The bikes were already staged on The RIU Palace parking lot for us, making it very convenient for its guests. The trail required us to ride the street leading into the The RIU for a few miles in full throttle, making our accelerating thumb numb but once we ventured off road all was forgotten. We powered through multiple rivers and experienced the natural landscapes of Guanacaste. We stopped at a beautiful waterfall for a 20 minute break. To scale to its base is quite vertical but the surefooted guides gave us a hand down as well as up. I recommend future riders to bring water that can be carried (I.e. camelback or cargo pockets), a bandana that can be worn as a mask to prevent from inhaling the exhaust from the rider in front of you, and wear water shoes. We were guided to a very reasonable marketplace to buy water along the way back but unless you had cargo shorts (like I did) there was no compartment to hold your water bottle. When we arrived at the finish line it had been about 3 hours and we were on an adrenaline rush.

This tour was nothing short from amazing! Found this tour through Trip Advisor because I heard it was expensive booking through the resort and I’m glad I did! Our tour guide Jason was so knowledgeable, and took us through the country side. Everything was just so beautiful and such a great experience. Jason was on time picking us up, and we even took the ATV’s through town and enjoyed fresh empanadas from a vendor. I highly recommend!

Adrian was a wonderful guide that spoke very good English. He was easy to understand while explaining how to operate the ATV. He watched over us and made sure we were all safe and enjoying the tour. The midway beverage/potty break was well appreciated. I highly recommended using their goggles as well as bringing a gator to stop the dust from getting in your nose and mouth. Be prepared to get dirty and wet feet while going through the rivers. Did not experience any bugs but beware of sunburn. What a great family experience. Thanks Adrian.

What an awesome experience! We went with Pinonos partners (Monolos) out of Nuevo Colon and the service and adventure were just awesome. We selected the jungle and mountain vs the beach tour and it did not disappoint. Adrienne and Justin were fantastic guides and we really got to see the beauty of Guanacaste and the Costa Rican countryside. Highly recommend Pininos. Pura Vida!

We did not go through our hotel for excursions and I’m glad we didn’t. It was just us and our tour guide and it was amazing adventure. Overheard people at the hotel saying they booked ATVs through the hotel and they had a bad time since there was so many riders and couldn’t go fast. Totally recommend this place! Will definitely be back!
