    Don’t miss this tour
You know that feeling when you think the tour is going to be small and personal then suddenly there are 17 pax and no-one has handed out hearing devices. You know you’ve signed up for 2.5 hours and check your watch wondering if there going to be a point when you can politely slip way. Then Dieter introduces himself. A tall charismatic Austrian with a Polish born grandmother. He’s a historian with a specialism in Hitler and WW2. Dieter speaks perfect English and straight away we take a step closer. He has no need to shout into a microphone and the time went too fast. We all had questions and even the difficult ones were answered with poise and sensitivity. This is the first tour I have taken where the full group was still there at the end. It was freezing cold but no one wanted to leave. Do yourself a favour and take the tour. You will learn so much from a consummate professional. .

    Excellent Tour.
Excellent tour. Best 2.5 hours! Some key landmarks/sites that we would have completely missed. Dieter, our guide, was incredibly knowledgable and engaging and really happy to answer questions. Thoroughly recommended

    Great walking tour!!
We booked this tour last minute as we wanted to learn more about the history of Austria. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is the least bit interested in WW2 and Austria. We had many great stops, photo opportunities and came away with a new understanding and appreciation for Vienna. 10/10

Vienna in a nutshell, plus jokes
We were led by Wolfgang on a 'basic' 2-hour tour of the highlights of the city centre. He was an excellent, well-informed and amusing guide who I would highly recommend. The weather was freezing but he took our minds off the cold with the sights (and sites) he showed us, with his knowledge, and with his jokes.

The best way to get introduced to Vienna!
Ali was a phenomenal guide! Her thorough and in-depth knowledge of Vienna was amazing and made the historical and cultural sites we toured in the city come alive. We highly recommend this personalized, small group tour experience because we could spend a little more time on the things we found especially interesting. In addition to seeing the must-see attractions, Ali showed us some off the beaten path hidden gems and we lucked out when we got to see the Lippizzaner horses being walked to their stalls. Thanks again for a great start to our Viennese adventure!

    Great walking tour
This was really great value and the tour was 2 and a half hours. We toured with Dieter who was great, great knowledge and very considerate of every one’s needs. It was really cold and he adjusted the tour to ensure we had chance to warm up and use free toilet facilities. Would recommend the tour if you get the chance

    Fun and informative
Dieter was an amazing guide. He gave us great insight into Vienna, Austria’s role in both WWI and WWII, and Hitler’s ties to the city. It was great to be given listening devices so we could all hear the tour easily. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Very disappointing. The guide was good, but the scope of the tour was very narrow. We saw very little of the Palace, the rooms that we did see were barely furnished, there was very little to show how the Royal family spent their time while at Shonbrunn. The parterre garden is an embarrassment.I would seriously advise you against spending what is a considerable amount, on the guided tour, get yourself an audio guide and do not join a tour.

I am glad that you were satisfied with our guide. However, the fact that you cannot see all 1441 rooms of the palace, but only a small part of the palace is open to visitors, should be obvious. Tastes certainly differ, and more than three million visitors each year apparently find the palace worth visiting. UNESCO also finds the gardens and furnishings impressive enough, otherwise Schönbrunn would not have been a World Heritage Site for decades. Many of our guests also find it reasonable to pay a little extra and get a competent guide in return and not have to stand in line for hours. Best regards Julija

The Schonbrunn Palace and Gardens are beautiful and certainly worth a visit, however I would recommend paying for admission with an audio guide rather than a tour for twice the price.

While the tour guide was friendly the tour lacked personal connection, substance, historical information, and context. I did not perceive a large wealth of knowledge I expect of a good tour guide.

Great way to explore Schonbrunn palace. Skipping the line saves a lot of time. However, inside the palace things can still be pretty crowded during peak season. The guide, Lisa, was very knowledgable.

I was charged for a booking cancelled within the time frame advised as it showed up as 2 tours on the same day with one Spanish Speaking booked for 24/12/2022 at 10.30 and one English speaking later in the day. This was booking ref 954683702. I had to rebook the tour correctly following this. I have not been refunded.
I have been in touch with the supplier who inform me that you hold this money at this time.

Dear jeanusp, As we have already written to you, we have never seen your money. As with credit card companies, for example, the organizer receives the money weeks after the tour has taken place. We have also asked you to confirm in writing that you have not received any money yet, we need some proof to Viator. You have not done so yet, except here by means of a bad review. So you rate our tour badly, and do not say a word about the quality of the tour, but complain about the handling of the refund for which we can do nothing at all.

The staff at the palace would not issue us admission ticket even with my printed receipt and confirmation from Trip Advisor. There was no obvious place to get entrance beyond the ticket issued to us when we paid 2nd time around. They kept saying ticket is not from us. They were guinely confused. 3 staff members were consulted before we ended up paying for the ticket all over again at the palace. The tickets through Trip Advisor was a waste of money and created such confusion. Buy direct from the palace online or at the location. Our experience with Trip Adviser ticket was total failure

Our visit to Schonbrunn Palace and Gardens was perfect in every way. The guide was excellent, she knows the history of every room, painting, style and sculptures, we enjoyed listening to her so much. We were each given ear phones, and that was great so we didn't need to strain to hear her. I definitely recommend going through the Palace with a guide, so much more enriching!

Everything was good. We didn't have a reservation but they took us on the fly.
Allie was amazing as a guide providing us quick entrance with very professional orders (advices😉) to get in and have a confortable tour.
She provided us with tons of interesting information inside the palace but also outside in the gardens.
Must to take tour.

If you like looking at a generic luxury palace of a family that was way into themselves, then this tour is perfect for you! In all honesty, the gardens are nice but when you’ve seen one royal garden, you’ve seen them all and this one is not particularly impressive. The artwork in the palace can be pleasant for some folks, but it didn’t capture me. Our guide was nice, she new a lot about the Hapsburgs and this period of history, but if you don’t LOVE touring people’s houses then skip this altogether and go enjoy Vienna’s restaurants and cafés.

Dear guest, We are very sorry the Schönbrunn Palace didn't met your expectations. You are absolutely right. Schönbrunn palace was the very luxurious palace of the most important family in Austria's history. Therefore it is the most visited sight in Austria as well as an UNESCO world heritage site. I absolutely agree with you that not everyone is interested in visiting palaces and gardens. However, the history of the Hapsburg family is a very important one (they ruled in Austria for more than 650 years). So, we are glad you at least had a little (interesting) insight of that part of Hapsburg's history on the tour. And of course, one can always enjoy Vienna's beautiful cafés. With or without palaces. With kind regards Siri

The tour was okay. The guide was a bit confusing in examining things, often moving from topic to topic too quickly. Also, we only toured one side of the palace when I thought we would be touring the entire palace.

Dear guest, Thank you for the feedback. The guides have a time limit to conduct The Schönbrunn Palace tour. There is a tour that will visit 45 rooms in the palace. The Schönbrunn Palace has a total of 1,441 rooms, 45 of which can be visited, so it is unlikely you would ever be able to tour the whole palace like you would like to. Best regards, Matthew

Tour was well organised. Our guide, Alex, was knowledgeable and easy to understand. Within the castle it was easy to hear the commentary via ear pieces. Tour in the Castle was about an hour. Tour of the gardens was short and limited to just behind the castle. Recommend you explore the garden further once the tour is complete.
