About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 805mirandaj0 contributionsGreat trip!We had a brilliant trip! We were a bit nervous about the reviews saying it was very busy, but we got there an hour before sail and got seats inside - everyone else headed to the top open deck and the late comers came inside with us. It suited us as we were out the wind. Our kids (4 and 9) loved looking through the underwater windows, the slides were fun and we enjoyed staying in the blue lagoon. We all did the speed boat trip and loved it - definitely recommend! Most others went on the Gozo trip - we were glad we didn’t as we enjoyed a swim around. It’s busy but you can still have a swim, and it was good to be able to leave our stuff on the boat rather than find a rock. There was food onboard. Only gripe is that there are two ladders to get back on the boat so that gets crowded, maybe a float line might be helpful.Written November 2, 2024
- 214gabrielley0 contributionsGreat views but not a personal favoriteThe views of the blue and crystal lagoon were gorgeous, however the tour guide was just a voice recording that you couldn’t hear from many areas of the boat and it was so overly crowded there were barely enough seats for all of the guests. They also ran out of snorkeling masks very early into the trip so my guest and I had to share one mask which was disappointing not to be able to snorkel with my boyfriend. While the views were gorgeous, the crew was great, and we really enjoyed our time on Comino, there should be better planning on the back end.Written November 2, 2024
- lunaC930 contributionsBest day outWe had the best day , the fish were amazing and could see hundreds of them 😍 I would recommend bringing your own snorkel , the boat was lovely and not too busy, staff were all very friendly. Blue lagoon cocktail was fab! A highlight of our Malta trip.Written October 31, 2024
- Ani A0 contributionsMemorableThe additional speedboat ride of the smaller caves around Comino Island for the extra €15 per person was so worth it! The boat guide Neil made the whole experience memorable & such fun. Thank you.Written October 20, 2024
- A1495NUlucieb0 contributionsAmazing tripOne of the highlights of our trip to Malta! This was by far the best boat leaving St Pauls that morning. We secured ourselves a lovely spot and thoroughly enjoyed the day. We sat at the back of the boat - my husband was initially disappointed that we didn't get to the front but as the day went on we realised this was a great spot as the boat acted as a bit of a wind breaker. I had read the itinerary before we booked so knew what to expect (I note the negative review about not stopping on Gozo - this was never on our itinerary). We had a variety of stops, including about an hour and a half at the Blue Lagoon - beautiful spot. We took our own snorkel gear but you could hire it for 5euros. The drinks on board were reasonably priced (5euros for a Corona) and the lunch was 15euros each - which was thoroughly enjoyable and enough. A wonderful trip on a lovely boat. So relaxing! One thing I will say is if you don't secure a bed just check that some couples are not hogging 2 beds! We saw a couple next to us do this and watch as people boarded and found other places - I was amazed by the selfishness of them to be honest! I wonder if someone said something as they eventually (about half way through the trip) sat next to each other on the same bed (they are the double beds so enough space for 2).Written October 18, 2024
- HerTenPence0 contributionsnor safe for young childrenIncredibly basic boat trip, it felt like a ferry. The crew speak limited English and the tour is a prerecord. Most upsetting, the trip says it’s fine for all ages. It is totally and utterly inappropriate and unsafe for a baby. Blue Lagoon is far too rocky and there is barely any sun shelter until you walk a fair distance over rocky land to get to sun beds.Written October 18, 2024
- Ava S0 contributionsGood but too longIt was a good trip, when on the boat you are told things about what you are passing in a range of languages. There is a bar, and I enjoyed the option to stay on the boat when at blue lagoon, the sense of freedom was nice and the slide was good fun. However, they did run out of snorkels very quickly which was a shame as I would have liked a go, and the trip did feel slightly too long, but it was still a good trip.Written October 15, 2024
- Patricia_TelgeLl0 contributionsVery Good ChoiceThe boat was very spacious, we all had a place to lay down, amazing views, good food, the crew was very friendly, I would definitely recommend it for groups or solo travelersWritten October 14, 2024
- kerstiliisv0 contributionsNice day at Blue LagoonHad a nice day on a boat and in blue lagoon. Had some nice views and good swimming spots. The trip started at 11, and the boat was supposed to be ready for boarding at 10:30. However, I recommend going ever earlier if you want a good sunny/shadow spot. We arrived 10:35 and almost all the boat was already filled with people. Crystal lagoon was a nice stop for swimming (approximately 45 min). We did not take part in the city tour, and the boat took us straight to Blue Lagoon for 4+ hours. I recommend taking a walk/hike to the other swimming spot on Comino, there are less people and sandy beaches. Blue Lagoon looks nice but very many people and only rocks to sit on, not comfortable, especially for 4+ hours.Written October 13, 2024
- CharlieV20110 contributionsGreat Day Trip! The day of the voyage was a perfect, hot and sunny day and the trip went well. The boat took off promptly at 10:30 from the advertised location behind the Loa restaurant. All instruction onboard was detailed and can be clearly heard. The stop for swimming or hiking at Camino was fun, and offers plenty of good drinks, and activities for about 90 minutes. The stop at Gozo offers bus rides either for swimming or for exploring Victoria, which I opted for Victoria. You will get about 3 hours in Victoria, which is just enough to visit the Citadel and grab lunch. In my opinion, Victoria is worth staying a night in. My only recommendations for improvements are to get better lockers and to possibly coach staff on proper sanitation as I witnessed an employee handle raw chicken, then proceed to help me with my locker while handling money without washing hands.Written October 12, 2024
- 186siand0 contributionsIt was okI think the trip is overpriced for what it is - it advertises snorkelling but you have to pay additional money to hire snorkels and also for meal. It appears that you can do the same for a lot cheaper. Food was ok but not much choice. Snorkelling spots - not many fishWritten October 8, 2024
- Olivier M0 contributions7h trip. Only blue lagoon ?!!Even though it's clearly mentionned that we were going to visit blue lagoon, crystal lagoon and cave, we didn't. We only stopped at blue lagoon for a 7h trip.Written October 6, 2024
- Karolina V0 contributionsTerrible experienceWe stoped three times, all three anchoring. First stop was Blue Lagoon and second Crystal Lagoon. The third stop was a bay where the locals swim. We live the port as the last boat and come back as first of all the boats. We didnt see the Popeye village at all! We didn’t go to the GOZO ISLAND AT ALL! The staff was terrible. My friend was feeling really sick. She has high fever and can’t stay up at her legs at all. Nobody asked about how is she or if she needs any help or medication…No one cared. Terrible experience.Written October 3, 2024
- dstedman4510 contributionsLots of fun, very busyDefinitely do the extra speedboat trip, two bursts of speed had everyone shouting and Ian the guide was expert at getting us into the caves and telling us lots of useful info. Main boat ride was relaxing, the slide great fun and the glass bottom a nice extra. Blue lagoon itself is beautiful to swim in, but be prepared to shuffle around the rocks with hundreds / thousands of other tourists. Lots of food and drink vans reasonably priced.Written October 3, 2024
- beckybarnes260 contributionsWonderful day outVery comfortable boat, lots of sun beds and comfy seating areas to sunbathe on, clean toilets, nice background music, efficient crew, affordable drinks, good bbq lunch, nice swimming off boat in quieter locations.. had a fantastic day out.. would recommend to friends and definitely go again.Written October 3, 2024

While on board, the ship's hydraulics burst (literally) sending the ship's oil spraying (literally) at high speed all over me and several other guests. It was terrifying and a major safety hazard. Our skin, hair, and clothes were covered in oil for the remainder of the day, and no one working the tour offered any help or even an explanation or apology until the very end of the day when a manager explained everything nicely and offered to help either dry clean or reimburse us for damaged clothes. Even after that, though, the situation was handled poorly and awkwardly, and I had to communicate several times with the company before receiving a refund for the tour and compensation so I could fix my ruined clothes.
Despite the hydraulics accident, the tour wasn't as inclusive as marketed. Maybe during the summer they stop at more places or for longer so that you can swim and explore more, but you're essentially dumped off at a port in Gozo and then either have to pay more to be bused into town or figure out your own path to wherever for the next few hours. The views from the boat are nice, though, beautiful coast line. I wouldn't recommend going down below deck to look through the glass windows, however, as that's where the hydraulic oil burst all over everyone.

My partner and I went on this tour yesterday and had a really good day - the sea was quite choppy but we were still able to do most things that the tour had to offer. On our trip we had the option to skip the Gozo trip (which by the sounds of it wasn’t enough time to get anything done and costs extra) to instead spend longer at Blue Lagoon. We chose the latter and it was the best choice as we had a really chill few hours exploring as much of Camino as we could (fantastic picture opportunities when you go up high!) and swimming in the crystal clear blue lagoon. There are food/drink trucks at the Blue Lagoon, deck chairs, toilets and a gift shop so everything you need to chill there for a few hours. If you are given this opportunity I recommend you take it and spare a day to explore Gozo properly later on in your holiday. The boat returns after dropping people off at Gozo (they are gone for about 30 mins before returning to Blue Lagoon) so you can always leave your stuff on there if you’re staying on Comino.
The staff were very helpful and drinks/food were reasonably priced. Cash only on the boat so make sure you hit the ATM ahead of time, and snorkels can be rented for 5 euros (with a 10 euro deposit). Definitely get a snorkel, especially for the Crystal Lagoon which was the highlight of the trip, this is what made the trip worth it! They also fed fish from the boat so when you went snorkelling you were met with lots of fish to swim with.
Overall we had a fantastic trip and it was definitely worth the money for how much of a great day we had. Tip: get to the boat for about 8am to secure a good seat - the middle ones are cushioned but you get the best pictures on the side seats.

Definitely recommend visiting these places, however, possibly with a different company.
It stated that initial check in opened from 8am and closed at 8.45am, however we arrived at 8.30 and no-one was able to get on board. When people had finished checking in it was 10.15 and we set sail at 10.30. I would not have been impressed if my kids had been young as they would not understand, luckily mine are older and they we’re fairly patient at waiting.
Also as you check in they inform you that when you arrive at Gozo where you spend at least 2 hours, there is nothing to do where the boat drops you off, so the options are a minibus to do either sightseeing or visit a beach but it’s an additional 5euros each.

Hi Rachel,
I am sorry to hear you had to wait so long for check-in. Our current time table is a departure at 10:30, check-in opens at 09:30 and closes at 10:15.
In regards to the minibus, it is an add-on, we do not include it because some people have local bus passes, or want to visit somewhere other than we offer. This is supposed to be explained to you when booking,
The information is readily available online, so I assume you booked with an Agency. I would appreciate it if you could private message us with where you booked your tickets, so we can make sure this problem does not happen again.
Thank you, Stephanie

Overall experience was ok, got at the boat half an hour before departure top deck was stacking with people next to each other, barely could find a spot for two. Also no social distancing practices by the crew, but this is understandable money is money...also had CAVES written and included in the offer but we visited none, reason presented after asking for 50% refund was weather conditions were not good to visit caves, but they were offering speed boat cave trip for an extra 10 euro.

It was absolutely stunning. We paid 25 euros each. Definitely would recommend. One thing I think we should have done is only stick to blue lagoon and comino islands. Gozo was a quick 2 hr trip and we paid a extra 5 euro each expecting it to pay for the bus to tour us around Gozo. But it was just a drop off somewhere random in Gozo with nothing to do (well we couldn’t find anything to do anyway) so really regretted going Gozo and missing out on extra time at the crystal lagoon.
The boat we were supposed to be on was too full so we had to go on to another boat (it was by choice, we got told to choose whichever one we wanted, but that the original boat is pretty full). We went on the other boat due to better social distancing. However that boat also got super full.
Either way it was a great day out

Hello,
Thank you for your review. I am not sure where you went in Gozo, but we only go to 2 places. Xlendi which is a lovely seaside village which is great for swimming or snorkelling. The other place is Victoria which is the capital city of Gozo which is great for sightseeing.

I’m sure that on most days I would have given five stars. We happened to go on a day with 3m wave swells that had the crew handing around the sick bags and all passengers huddling inside. The Blue lagoon was still lovely and the swimming fine (if freezing). But no caves or sunken ship viewing because of the weather. The timing was run like clockwork with very clear instructions so no one could say they did not know when to return. The only other flaw apart from the weather was the ‘pushy’ sales girls selling the ‘optional’ tours on Gozo. They happily informed usas first time visitors that if we didn’t pay for a trip to Xlendi or Victoria then we would be sitting on a jetty for3 hours as there was nothing at the port. Of course when we arrived there was a reasonable settlement. However Victoria turned out to be lovely.

Feb 2020 • Friends
The day we went it was 18° & sunny, there was a gentle breeze & the sea was calm.
It's a very nice boat, expert skipper who knew his boat, very friendly staff, there are onboard slides into the sea that quite a few people braved (as the sea was quite chilly). The toilets onboard were clean & roomy plus the boat is disabled accessible.
We visited all the great sights (Blue Lagoon, Crystal Cove, sunken wreck etc) & had an hour on Comino (had a cocktail in a pineapple - pure indulgence) plus 3 hours on Gozo so you can go & sightsee; we went to the capital Victoria, lovely place with a really nice chilled vibe.
I cannot think of a single negative, it was 7.5 hours of pure pleasure. The price was good & onboard food & drink well priced, highly recommended.

Not the best, but certainly not the worst. All food and drink on board was good, but obviously not included. Would have like transfers but no info and when I messaged them, no reply. Was told boarding would begin at 8am, but waited in a queue for 30 mins before boarding. The “tour bus” to Victoria was actually just a transfer service and we were packed in like sardines-not nice when you’re masked up! However, lovely weather and the crew were very friendly and helpful. The Blue Lagoon swim was lush. Probably value for money if you look at it like a water taxi instead of a cruise.

Top Tip…. Get there a bit early.
Even though the trip starts at 10.30 they start boarding from 9.30 so by 10 the top deck was full.
The trip itself was really good value. A full day out with lots of commentary and info along the way.
The crew work hard and are really polite.
Food and drink is reasonably priced and available to purchase on board.
There is an extra charge of €5pp for the bus ride round Gozo which is really worth while and they give you a couple of hours to grab something to eat or see the local sights.
The boat has a glass bottom viewing area and 3 slides - one large off the top and 2 smaller ones of the back of the bottom deck.
Had a great day!

Not what we expected. We booked the tour via trip advisor as we thought it would be a way to see Comino, crystal lagoon and Gozo. What isn’t explained until you get on the boat is that you have to choose if want to spend 4 hours on Comino island (blue lagoon) or spend 3 hours on Gozo and 1 hour on Comino. You then are sold either a speed boat ride or a bus tour for Gozo all at extra expense.
Crystal lagoon
On our sail towards crystal lagoon we were told there would be opportunity to swim and we could hire snorkels more money but we wouldn’t want to miss swimming in these crystal waters right?
However the lagoon was covered with floating rubbish, not very appealing to swim in! The snorkels didn’t get used!
Comino Island
My worst nightmare! The water is beautiful but the island is rock in with hundreds of tourists crammed on in which everyone can hire a deck chair and sit within inches of each other, there are several food vans blasting music. It was awful, thank goodness we opted not to be trapped there for four hours!
Gozo
We opted not to buy the bus tickets on the boat, instead we caught a public bus to Victoria for €2 each and had a lovely afternoon in the capital.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend this tour.

Dear Nicola h,
I am sorry that you did not feel the tour was what you expected. You had already chosen the Comino & Gozo tour, and therefore you had 2 stops on Comino - Crystal & Blue Lagoon and 1 Stop on Gozo - Mgarr. as per your booking.
We do not have any hidden costs, snorkels are for hire, if you have your own you may bring and use them, it is written on the site before booking.
Comino Crystal Lagoon is usually a very stunning stop to swim in and it doesn't usually have rubbish. This can be verified in many reviews. However, depending on the strength and direction of the currents rubbish can be blown anywhere and unfortunately, it is out of our control.
Comino, Blue Lagoon is very famous and the waters are stunning, but for this reason, in the height of summer, it attracts a lot of visitors. On this trip, you only have an hour there.

I’m sure if you ask your hotel reception they can tell you what number bus to get and where to get it.
Enjoy your trip

Es posible salir desde sliema o hay que ir hasta el puerto de partida, y si no, como se hace para que te recoja en el hotel.
Is it possible to leave from sliema or do you have to go to the port of departure, and if not, how do you get picked up at the hotel.
