  • Your guide and driver know the best way to get around a large part of Iceland
  • Mix sightseeing with a glacier hike and ice cave exploration
What to expect
Your tour begins with pickup from your hotel or a designated bus stop in Reykjavik. From there, set out toward Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Then, see some of the area’s largest geysers: Strokkur and Geysir. Gullfoss—the Golden Waterfall—and the Kerid crater are next. Spend the night in a country guesthouse in Seljaland. The second day is spent visiting the coast, multiple waterfalls, and a black-sand beach. After breakfast, make the journey to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall located beneath the Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Stop at the less-known Gljufrabui waterfall nearby. Visit three more waterfalls: the 200-foot-tall (60 meters) Skogafoss, secret Kvernufoss, and Írafoss. The final stop of the day is Reynisfjara beach, with its black-sand and basalt formations. On day three, drive through the village of Vik and stop at Skaftafell National Park on the way to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. Hop in a “Super” Jeep with a guide and find a suitable blue ice cave to explore. Then, make the journey back to Reykjavik and get dropped off at your original departure point.

This 3-day tour has a very full itinerary covering the highlights of southern Iceland.
Our driver/guide David was knowledgable, efficient, energetic, humorous and always considerate.
I highly recommend Nicetravel. They were very responsive when forecast extreme weather required a second tour we had booked was threatened. Nicetravel took the initative and contacted us with all options that were available to us.

Beyond “Nice”!
My sister and I did the 4 day tour (west and south), with the highlight being the blue ice cave… and our guides of course! Thor and Jonas were amazing, the amount of knowledge and stories they told us about the country, people and culture were really nice.

It was my second time iceland, but it was really cool to hear about the vulcano’s, landscape etc., something you can only experience with a tour guide. 🤩

We’ve had plenty of time at all the stops, we were with small groups and they made sure we were able to get the most out of the daylight. I would DEFINITELY recommend NiceTravel!

What an incredible trip! We did a both a 2-Day West Coast Tour (Snæfellsnes, Silver Circle with Canyon Baths) and a Golden Circle (Blue Lagoon Including Admission & Kerid Volcanic Crater) - and everything was spectacular. Our guides were Eythor and Magnus, and they were the best! They were knowledgeable and fun, and they helped us get the most out of our tours. Thanks to both of them!

Wow! What a great tour this is! Mike, our guide, went above and beyond to rearrange the schedule to take advantage of the second sunny day. Our hotels and van were clean and comfortable. The South Coast is incredible - highly recommend!

My parents and I just completed a 3 day tour with David.

Here are the highlights:
+ David was a great tour guide - informative but did not overload us with information, clearly passionate about Iceland and sharing his experiences with us.
+ He was a really safe driver - extremely important during the winter with sleet, wind, ice and rain during the winter
+ Got to see all the attractions during a short period of time - winter time has only 5-6 hours of daylight and he was very mindful that we got to all of the places to make sure we had ample time at each place
+ My parents are a bit older and he gave us special attention to make sure they did not trip and fall when doing the small hikes. This was great!
+ My parents were nervous by the hostel but it was super clean, comfortable and lovely with a kitchen.

Improvements
+ The tour bus is very clean and had stable wifi. The only thing was that it was just really really small so the seats were tiny. I think for 3 days, it should have more spacious seating. I think for any one who is on the larger side, this actually would be a strong consideration.
+ Ice cave tour was a great experience but some of the caves were not yet drained of water and thus couldnt see the beautiful ice caves that are often advertised. I think expectations should be managed up front that the ice caves are not yet ready

If you’re looking for a tour that will give you not only great photos, but full of great experiences, inputs and a great accommodation this one is for you!

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical of booking this package because it seemed to good to be true. Nice Travel had the most well priced and well thought of combo that any traveler would want to experience in Iceland.

David, our tour guide arrived on the time allotted for pick up at the BSI Terminal Reykjavík and was welcoming. We rode the Nice Travel bus with two other families.

I will breakdown each part of the tour as everything came in perfectly and smoothly.

Bus:
-comfortable
-had fast WiFi
-USB plugs both sides of the rows
-AC kept us warm
-speaker used by David (the tour guide) which made it easy to hear his inputs all the way to the back

Tour: 3 Day Tour: Golden Circle, Ice Cave and Waterfalls (accommodation included, a PLUS!)

Hard to choose which one was the best part of the tour because Iceland is made up of all these beautiful natural wonders that one cannot compare to the other. Highly highly recommended. It is open to everyone. Adventurous or not, it is a tour for all.

1st day: we visited the Golden Circle, checked in Nice Hostel
2nd day: Glaciers, Diamond Beach and Ice Cave
Last day: waterfalls, black beach where you can see the North Atlantic Ocean

The hostel didn’t feel like a hostel. It felt like a hotel with great rooms, amenities and great staff. Loren and her husband manages the hostel and are both amazing and very friendly people.

David:
-the important man, the man of the house/tour; passionate about his job
-has a great playlist
-responsible and safe driver
-a knowledgeable guide and overall well learned man. Made sure that we why things were; he knew a lot about glaciers, lavas, waterfalls, hike spots, (good food), etc.
-takes good photos (very important haha)
-made sure to let us know which areas to be careful ; too slippery/ too risky for the winds; or to stay not too close to the water as it rises up quickly
-took extra care of the moms who had a fear of adventure but assured them things will be okay (and guys, trust me. It’s only my dad who can do this, and now, David was able to do it. Shows how reliable and trustworthy he is)

Overall, great company, tour combo, tour guide and would love to do if all over again.

This was an amazing three days. It’s well worth the price. All of the sights were fantastic. My only wish was that we had more time at Gullfoss. I felt a little rushed there. The guides were great. Would definitely go back and would definitely book another tour with Nice.
