Small-Group Tour: Iceland South Coast and Glacier Hike
US$174.78
Overview
Get to know Iceland's southern coast and embark on a glacier hike during this full-day tour. With your small group of 15 fellow travelers or fewer, visit the Reynisfjara black sand beach, Seljalandsfoss waterfall, and Sólheimajökull Glacier. Round-trip hotel transportation via minibus and all safety gear (harness, ice axe, carabiners, and crampons) included.
What to Expect
Enjoy pickup from your Reykjavik accommodation at 8:30am to start your adventure. Hop aboard the minibus and join your guide and small group to make your way to the Sólheimajökull Glacier.

You will be provided all necessary equipment to prepare for your glacier hike. Enjoy a stunning look at the sights Iceland's southern coast has to offer. You will be accompanied by experienced guides to ensure you have a safe, enjoyable hike.

You will have plenty of opportunities for photographs of the Seljalandsfoss waterfall and the mighty waves of the Atlantic Ocean against the Reynisfjara black sand beach as well. The itinerary for this tour is designed to avoid the main crowds as much as possible so that you can experience these natural beauties more personally.

Feel free to ask many questions along the tour and find yourself rewarded with interesting (and sometimes weird) knowledge about this Nordic island and its quirks. During the winter, you will be chasing the daylight as it casts a natural soft light against these unique sights.

After a full-day adventure, your tour will conclude with drop off at your hotel around 6:30pm.

Great fun

My friends and I deeply enjoyed this tour. The sights were beautiful and the hike a one-of-a-kind experience. Michael was full of knowledge and stories, which made the trip that much better. A definite must when visiting Iceland.

Our guide Maria was fantastic. I never felt rushed at a site, she had so much information to share, and she took us to black sand beach, even though it wasn’t listed on the tour! Having her as a guide made the experience 10X better....More

Anna W. I booked this tour and am writing my review of it. This tour DOES NOT visit the DC3 plane wreck, although others do. This tour drives by the DC3 location, but you can not see it from the road. Happy traveling!
