    What to Expect
Meet a driver at your hotel in Reykjavik, then begin the 93-mile (150-km) trip to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, a tranquil retreat from the bustling city. The first stop of the day is the black sand beach of Djupalónssandur, where the rock worn smooth by countless waves, to learn about its rich history.

Then drive to Kirkjufell, a stunningly-formed mountain peak whose name means "Church Mountain," and looms behind the scenic waterfalls at the base.

As you drive, Snæfellsjökull will dominate the horizon as you travel, and you’ll find stunning views of the ancient stratovolcano, which is capped with a shining glacier. Stop at the Londrangar viewpoint to admire the rock formations.

The final stop is the village of Arnarstapi, for a scenic walk along a row of jagged cliffs. Then begin the return trip to Reykjavik, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your original departure point.

I booked this tour the last minute after having 2 consecutive days of doing 11-hour tours. I’m not sure why this tour isn’t as popular as the others. I guess I should be thankful since I was expecting a big bus to get us to Snaefellsnes but we are a small group so we are in a

Hello Galvin and Mella. I'm so happy to hear that you had such a good experience with BusTravel Iceland and in particular your tour with Christophe and Howser! I will be sure to pass on your kind words to both of them. In regard to the '24 hour urgent hotline' - I believe you are probably thinking of Viator, the resellers of your tour, because we do not operate such a phone line due to the small company nature of our business. Our phones are operational between the hours of 07:00-22:00 everyday but we also monitor our emails out of hours to respond to anything urgent. I hope that clarifies everything, and that it wasn't too frustrating when you couldn't get through to your reseller. We'd love to have you travel with us again the next time you're in Iceland!

This may be the highlight of my entire iceland trip because of the tour and our amazing guide Howser. He’s one of the best guides I’ve ever had from my years of traveling. He’s pretty much a walking encyclopedia and his stories are all entertaining. He has a soothing voice too

I’m not sure how all of these reviews aren’t 5/5 stars! What an amazing day!!! Our bus, (with WiFi and power outlets) was super Comfy. Our guide, Atli, really went out of his way for us and made sure to include all of the historical and interesting facts about each stop we made.

I had the most amazing day (11/10/19) on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula Tour. Our tour guide Howser was absolutely brilliant and I loved all the mystic sagas he told us. We also had a fantastic driver, Christophe. The whole day was so well organised and we saw Kirkjufellsfoss
