Lisbon Small-Group Gourmet Portuguese Food and Wine Tour
From US$56.27
Overview
With delicious food and drink around every corner, Lisbon’s a hot destination for foodies, and this tour ensures you find authentic versions of famous Lisbon food. Sip local Port, brandy, and wine; try small bites; and taste your way through the sausage and cheese at a historic shop. By exploring with a guide, you’ll experience each flavor in context and discover places you may otherwise have missed. Plus, your guide provides enough restaurant recommendations to last your entire vacation.
What to Expect
Make your way to a central location in Lisbon, and then set out on foot through the city.

Start with a round of petiscos (Portuguese tapas) at a local restaurant, and then duck into the 18th-century Café Nicola for a taste of café culture and a trademark sweet. You’ll also nibble a Portuguese codfish cake alongside some vinho verde, a refreshing green wine.

Next, head to a Bairro Alto wine bar for tapas and a glass of local white wine. Stop by a famous seafood restaurant and discover a trove of sausages, salted fish, ham, and cheese inside a gourmet shop.

Sip some Portuguese cherry brandy paired with São Jorge cheese at a nearby bar, and then sample ginjinha (liqueur from a historic watering hole). The last stop of the tour is a 17th century palace, where you’ll try chouriço (sausage), bread, and other local products with a final glass of red wine.

The guide Sofia was terrific. Very sweet and knowledgeable. I thought the food wasn’t very creative. Yes we had fried cod and also sardines and cheese and some interesting wine choices. But I thought the tour had too many people to fit into some of...More

Madalina was a fabulous tour guide! (1st all woman's group!)

I highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Madalina for your tour guide. We were the first all female group she had ever had, so it was extra special. Madalina's knowledge of the city was evident and her charming personality made our tour so...More

Definitely! You will sit and rest for 20 to 40 minutes at each restaurant. There really isn’t too much walking
