typical museum...if you've seen one you've seen them all. only a handful of Van Gogh's (however the self portrait is awesome) and the Rembrandt was being cleaned with some sort of xray machine so it was obscured from viewing.

The advance ticket purchase saved us time. No standing in line was nice. The museum is wonderful. We spent several hours there but could have stayed a lot longer. Certainly a must see in Amsterdam. The advance ticket meant we did not have to stay in line to purchase a ticket.

This museum, especially 1600-1700s and 1800-1900s sections, is surprisingly satisfying, edıcational and beautiful. Try not to miss the Dutch vs Soanish Painters Exhibition, it is also marvelous.
