Overview

Mix up your Amsterdam sightseeing schedule with an admission ticket to Icebar Xtracold and a 1-hour canal cruise—a great introduction to the city for first-time visitors. Enjoy three free drinks at the Icebar where everything is made entirely of ice (even your drinking glasses). On your cruise, a glass-topped boat provides unobstructed views of Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed canal network. This combo tour offers a fun way to explore Amsterdam.

What to Expect

Pick up your tickets from the tour office and make your way to Icebar Xtracold in central Amsterdam at your reserved time slot. You get to skip the line and receive the first of your three complimentary drinks as you prepare to enter a room made out of ice.

Before entering Icebar, don a thermal poncho and mittens to prepare for the 14 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 10 degrees Celsius) temperature inside. As you sip two Heineken beers or Smirnoff vodkas, admire frozen walls, furniture, and drinking glasses. After 30 minutes to chill out, your Icebar experience ends.

For your cruise, head to the pier near Amsterdam Central Station to board a glass-topped boat and glide past top Amsterdam attractions such as the Anne Frank House (Anne Frankhuis) and Magere Brug, better-known as the Skinny Bridge. Cruises depart every 15 to 30 minutes, allowing you to cruise on your own schedule.

Ice bar and cruise

Ice bar is quite small and the novelty wears off rather fast. Although the 3 free drinks make the value for money pretty good. River cruise was very boring and you’re unable to see really anything.More
