The highlights of Florence + David=Great Tour!!
We loved having the walking tour of Florence as a prelude to the Accademia and seeing Michelangelo’s David. The walking tour covered notable squares, churches, and historical points of interest as well as more modern points of interest like fashion houses. Francesco, our guide, was a fountain of information on all topics historical, architectural, arts, fashion, and food!! When we finally arrived to the David, we felt we had a good sense of the rich history of the arts in the city and it made seeing the statue that much more impressive! We would absolutely recommend this tour, and Francesco (!!!), to anyone with limited time in Florence who wants to get a quick sense of the highlights and the history. Plus, we skipped the long lines at the Accademia, saving us time and getting us in to see the the beautiful art without wasting any time!

Elena was an amazing tour guide. She is very knowledgeable and super nice. I had very limited time in Florence. But with her help, I had such a blast and definitely made the most of my trip. I can't recommend enough Elena and her tour to people who visit Florence, especially for those who are in Florence for the first time.

Florence Overview
Feb 2020
This tour is jam packed with information. We were picked up at our hotel and we saw Florence. Laura did a fantastic job of showing us not only old Florence but also showing us that new art is also around in Florence. We enjoyed walking through town and she showed us many things that we might not have noticed otherwise. It was nice to skip the line to see David. This is the second time seeing David and I still would go back another time if in the area. A great tour especially if you don't have a lot of time.

Our tour guide was Elena and she was very interesting. The tour should have had 10 people but there were a lot of cancellations so ended up just being the 2 of us which was wonderful. Highly recommended!

Thank you Cindy! Sometimes it happens that you are just 2 people even in a group tour so you have the tour private. We don't cancel the tour even with few participants! All the best

Jan 2020 • Solo
A lovely tour through the key sights around Florence, including some hidden gems along the way. Our guide was lovely and knowledgeable, helping us to see the most of the old town area. Then off to the Accademia to see David, and free time after to explore. Would recommend for anyone with a short stopover in Florenece as a way to quickly see the key areas.

Great tour again with The Tour Guy! Did both the morning & afternoon tour which is rather exhausting but definitely worth it!!! Francesca, our guide, was fantastic! She's like a walking encyclopedia of Florence. She gave us loads of information about the things we saw as well as made numerous recommendations for things we can do that's not part of the tour. We absolutely loved this tour!!!

Florence holiday
Dec 2019 • Friends
I’m normally a sceptic of guided tours. I often find them too long and filled with granular detail that is of little interest to a non-historian. This tour, however, was different. Gave me the highlights (salient points) with a few fun-facts thrown in. Amount of time allocated was perfect! Not too long, not too short. Of course the skip-the-line benefit made the whole thing totally worth it. No one wants to spend their holiday standing in some line. My sincere thanks to the professional and knowledgeable guide who was able to create a memorable experience for me and my family. I Highly recommend!!
