Admire the jewelry stalls along the Ponte Vecchio (medieval stone bridge), learn the unique history of the Vasari Corridor above it, and visit the Palazzo Pitti, once home to Florence’s rulers. Next, explore Oltrarno, Florence’s bohemian district with its artists, workshops, and cafés. Grab a classic shot of the Ponte Vecchio from the Ponte Santa Trinita and then continue along Via Tornabuoni, Florence’s fashion and window-shopping mecca. After admiring Palazzo Strozzi, Florence Cathedral (the Duomo), and the Baptistery, walk to the Accademia Gallery and skip the line to see Michelangelo’s original David, a world-famous sculpture. Your guide will tell you the secrets behind the statue and Michelangelo’s life, before your tour wraps up outside.

The guide assigned was knowledgeable but the tour really wasted time. We walked around Florence which was ok, nothing we couldn't have done on our own. Afterwards we waited in line (skip the line is somewhat true but we still had to wait as the tickets had to be picked up). The worst is that we were rushed to see David and leave to go to San Lorenzo only to get an outside walking tour there which we could have done on our own as well. Would be better if the guide can leave the group at the Academia for a good visit rather than rushing out. David is the highlight but there was a lot more we could have seen.

Dear LG2991 thank you for your review! I am happy you liked the David, that's the highlight of the tour and our skip the line is the maximum anyone can do to get inside the museum. Being one of the most famous museum of the world, yes, it might happen that in certain days (Tuesday or Wednesday when your tour happened) you have to wait 5/10 minutes for the group to get inside, which is anyhow not comparable to the 2 hours that people without skip the line wait. The rest of the tour as the title of the tour says, is a walking tour around the city during which you see some of the most famous architectures of the city, again famous all over the world, which I don't think you could have done on your own as you wouldn't had the commentary of the guide who explains and tells the history of the buildings, which usually our customers find very interesting as our average 5 stars reviews say. I am sorry if you felt rushed seeing the David, the guide had to respect the stops and the timing of the remaining itinerary as described since it's a group tour, if you wanted to customize the itinerary and stay longer inside the Accademia we recommend to choose the private option, or if you wanted to see the Accademia in deep you could have chosen a tour focused only on this museum and not a walking tour of Florence highlights . Best regards Elena
