Overview
Ditch the checkered-tablecloth tourist traps and discover authentic Tuscan cuisine on an evening food tour of Florence. Cross the romantic Ponte Vecchio bridge into the artisan district of Oltrarno to sample olive oil, cheese, fresh bread, and other local specialties. Sip Tuscan wine in an enoteca (wine shop), savor a multicourse meal in a classic trattoria, and finish on a sweet note with cookies and gelato.
What to Expect
Meet your foodie guide on the much-photographed Ponte Vecchio bridge and cross the River Arno into the historic artisan district of the Oltrarno. Learn what distinguishes Tuscan cuisine from other regions of Italy as you stop at some of the best local bakeries, markets, and specialty shops. Sample high-quality Florentine staples, such as balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Tuscan cheese, and freshly baked bread.

Get cozy at a wine bar (enoteca) near Piazza Santo Spirito for wine tasting, including a distinctive Super Tuscan blend. Next, head to a hand-picked local trattoria for the evening’s main event, a 3-course meal starring the authentic Florentine steak known as bistecca fiorentina. Cap off the tasting tour in true Italian style with a sweet dessert wine paired with cantucci (almond) cookies and a scoop of creamy gelato from one of the best ice cream parlors in town.
