We visited Park Etna with a small group from Catania. The guide (Janet) was excellent, she was on time at the meeting point. The SUV was a little tight in the back for people with long legs, but Janet made it right by allowing passengers to switch places. Janet gave us a lot of good information on the volcano, the history of eruptions, the flora (including scientific names which was a treat for the biologist in me) and also about the folklore and legends of the place. The hike was just right, around some old craters, a little steep at times but very doable for everyone.
We felt safe at all times, we were very lucky with the weather (sunny and clear), and we got to walk through a lava tube.
The final stop was at Valley of Bevo which makes you realize the magnitude of a lava flow. She invited us to try a fine sweet wine made in the region and some almond biscotti. Delicious. After seeing lots of greco Roman ruins and churches in Sicily, this nature tour was a very welcomed change

It was superb. We were picked up and returned to our hotel by our guide in a small mini bus. It was a small group (just eight). Our Guide Danielle (excuse spelling) spoke good English and was both informative and entertaining with an obvious passion for his job.
I was very glad that he was driving rather than me, you would have to be very brave to drive in Sicily. Catania is a driving Bedlam!

Mount Etna is a great experience. We were lucky with the weather and could see for miles from the top. We stopped to see the fantastic moonscape of the lava fields. It was particularly interesting to go into an underground cave that had been made by the lava. Helmets and torches were provided and our guide took great care to ensure our safety. We were able to have lunch at a cafe in Etna and having walked up to see some of the amazing craters thoroughly enjoyed a large cold beer outside in the sunshine!

It was a great trip. Thank you

We had a great tour with Janet on 09 August in the morning. The tour in the morning was perfect because the weather was not too hot. We were a small group and the pick-up happened in front of our hotel. Janet was not only a super pleasant guide but a true expert in her field with her international studies on volcanology and other scientific subjects. We closed the tour with a little glass of zibibbo and with cantucci. We have particularly appreciated this great experience during the high season period. Absolutely recommended and thank you very much Janet for the amazing experience!

A friend and I booked the Morning Etna Tour and it was a great and efficient way to get there and learn so much about the volcano and surrounding area. Our tour guide was amazing and so knowledgeable! I learned so much from him and appreciated his enthusiasm. I also enjoyed the cave exploring part a lot!

As an avid hiker, the only part I was a bit disappointed in was that it wasn’t really a hike. And we did not go up as high as I would of liked to once I saw that other visitors of the site were exploring higher than us without a tour guide...

Other than that, I still found this tour and experience overall worth it and would recommend to visitors who are here for a couple days and want to learn more about Etna. Thank you again for a good service!

This far exceeded our expectations and was incredible value for money. Maurizio was an excellent tour guide who was very knowledgeable and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. There was so much more we learned about Etna, Sicily and volcanoes than we expected from a tourist trip.
Tips: take good walking shoes! The tour is described as suitable for all abilities but there is the potential for a lot of walking, so a reasonable level of fitness is required. Suggest you try and sit in the front of the minibus to appreciate the journey.

We booked the tour in English and our guide spoke it fluently. He presented each piece of information in an enjoyable way and answered all of our questions. We had enough time to take a lot of photos in places we walked through. At the end of the excursion we had some time to walk around by ourselves. Hotel pickup was definitely a plus.

We were a bit disappointed that the trip to Valle del Bove and the lava cave, while nice, are so short. This stands in contrast to the trip description, which made them seem to be a larger part of the whole experience. We had a very small group due to Covid-19 (four young adults) so we finished earlier than planned - wish the time was spent on some small "extra" hike.

Overall a very enjoyable experience.

This was a great experience - an excellent overview of Etna and introduction to volcanoes!

I went with my 2 teenage sons and they had a fantastic time. Communication was very good via whatsapp and everything happened as described. We were collected by mini bus close to our accommodation and after another pick up we headed up to Etna. We went to 2000m where there's a tourist stop. We stopped on the way for a quick photo of a good view of Etna. We walked briefly to see the view and a crater. We had a croissant breakfast (provided by our lovely guide!).

We went on to a small volcanic cave and then onto a valley full of lava flow before finishing at the end of a lava flow and tasting some delicious local produce.

It's a great tour - no big treks which suited us. We would like to return one day to go up the cable car or even do the quad bike tours. But this is a fantastic tour, with a lovely guide - translating in English and Spanish. We were dropped back at the original pick up which was perfect. I absolutely recommend this tour which was great value and hugely memorable. Thank you very much, Lynda, Ben & Sam

In a nutshell, the experience of visiting Etna is fantastic. It certainly makes it worth your while to be there, to whitness what it has done to it's surrounding.
About the Tour Company, at the end it delivered what they promised: a morning tour to Etna, but could the service could be improved, a whole lot.
We had to wait almost 30 min after the set pick-up time, didn't have a smooth ride up to Etna (Italian way of driving, like there's no tomorrow) and the tour guide (nice enough, good english BTW) kept telling stories about the Volcano and it's surroundings at such a low volume that we couldn't always hear and understand.
But he knew the stuff, he knew what he was doing and took us to great viewings.
Overall, it was a pleasant morning at Etna and we were satisfied in the end of the day.

Dear customer, Thank you for your opinion. Sorry for the 30 minutes delay, also because we always notify our guests on time, but surely the guide will have found some unexpected traffic. As for the acoustics inside the minivan, we accept with pleasure yours constructive criticism, and we will tell the guides to increase the volume of the voice during the explanations Kind Salutations

Daniel was knowledgeable and entertaining. He appears to really enjoy being a guide and it comes through to the group. Me, being older than most, found the uphill climb challenging (even with my Peloton workouts!) It is so much easier if you are in very good physical shape! You be the judge. The views on Mount Etna are breathtaking and I really enjoyed the day. It was, to quote Daniel, “a positive experience “.

Our guide Maurizio was very knowledgeable and helpful. The tour was good value, we were picked up in a mini bus and driven up to mount Etna. We saw a grotto and then hiked up Etna and saw craters. We are not big hikers and it was all within our comfort zone.
