It started off poorly as we got to security and we got told to pour our unopened drinks from our bags away. A better option would have been to take our bag to the lockers in the visitor centre if we had been told about them. The guide said she would be speaking in Italian and gave us the headphones and electronic guide, pointless when it’s in a language you don’t speak. You can also download the app. This doesn’t work on android and on iOS the headphones are not compatible with iPhone so take your own. The guide did speak some English after the 15 minutes in the painting room but it felt like an afterthought. The painting was impressive to see though but not an overall great package.

Dear Visitor, I guess you purchased your tickets online. In the Last Supper website is always and very clearly specified at what time are provided guided tours in English or in Italian. There are many operators that provide guided tours in English only. Next time we advice you to pay attention to the tours you are booking because there is really a very wide choice. Best regards.

A must visit in Milan, The Last Supper had always been on my bucket list. The experience was of course amazing, but I would rather first talk about my experience of how I got the tickets. Our trip to Italy was planned only a few weeks before it happened, so the tickets to The Last Supper on their official website were obviously sold out. After scanning this forum and several others, I understood that some people were able to get tickets by calling the office, but most others couldn't as there was no response on that phone line. I didn't want to go for private tours (because of the significant price difference of course), so I kept calling that number for 3 days. I would spend an hour every day, calling them at different times each day, and on day 4, to my surprise, someone picked up, and said that they had adequate slots for the two days I would be in Milan. I chose the one with the English guide (which I personally felt was completely worth it), so my ticket cost me 15.5 Euros (10 for ticket + 2 for advance booking + 3.50 for English guide). I called them on 5th December 2016 to get tickets for 28th December, 2016. The telephone operator spoke perfect English and the transaction was very smooth. I got my tickets mailed a minute after the phone call. I called them at 2 PM CET, and my call was answered in about 5-8 minutes. To someone who has been trying to get tickets through the official site, I would suggest that you keep trying until one of them answers the phone.

The experience of the painting itself was enthralling, and the size and the scale of the painting left us amazed. Opting for the English guide is useful for those who would like a more personal and detailed explanation of the painting, along with its history. To sum it all, it was a wonderful 15 minutes we spent in there. I am so glad we didn't give up on the effort of trying to get tickets at such short notice.

This was much better than I was expecting. The tour guide was very informative. Time keeping is critical, the doors open for the tour dead on time, and you leave 15 min later… no hanging about! They ask for photo ID but a couple I’m my group only had credit card ID and it was accepted. Had to book 3 months in advance.

Rudest employees I've seen so far! No, thank you!

This painting has to be magnificent, but if DaVinci knew how they handle visitors and their business, he would turn in his grave (or applaud them? Don't know what would be worse.).

Checked Milan Museums Homepage for online booking: only possible WITH audio guide app that costs extra (compulsory). Why do I need an audio guide, when I can read about it in a book or online? They record one guide and cash in Eur. for every visitor! Shameless.

Visiting time: "You have 15 mins. to enjoy the painting!" 23 Eur. for 15 mins? Are you joking? We all decided not to go in, because we do not support cultural heritage places with these money-hungry business tactics. It's not the money, it's the principle!

We went there in February and there were plenty of empty online spots. In hope of getting a normal ticket for 15 Eur. We were not asked politely to leave, given an explanation, but we were thrown out! "No reservation? LEAVE NOW!". Not even places like the Uffizi or David handle paying visitors like this.

Dear Customer, I am very sorry for the negative experience you had at the Last Supper. I would like to inform you that we are a private tour operator LEONARDOSLASTSUPPER that cooperate with the Last Supper Museum organizing private Last Supper Tours. We are not responsible of direct tickets sales for the Last Supper. We will forward your review to the Last Supper Managment but please, be so kind to let us know which website sells tickets and audio guide app because this is not correct since the download of Last Supper App is completely free of charge and can be downloaded at the Last Supper ticket office or on Santa Maria delle Grazie at the entrance of the Last Supper. Awaiting your kind reply we wish you all the best.

The painting covers over 40 sq m of the wall of Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie and many think it may be Leonardo da Vinci’s greatest painting. Because it was painted using an experimental oil-based medium it gave the painting subtle tonalities but the downside was that the paint surface quickly deteriorated. And so for centuries it was subjected to invasive restorations and heavy-handed retouchings.
Leonardo’s masterpiece depicts Christ revealing that one of his disciples will soon betray him; horror and disbelief are etched on every face but Jesus remains resigned. (spoiler alert: It was Judas, who da Vinci depicts as spilling salt on the table). Each figure is unique and memorable, down to the smallest details. There is no doubt that The Last Supper is one of the world’s most poignant and beautiful works of art.
The phenomenon now known as overtourism is frustrating everybody: People don’t just want to see The Last Supper: they want the picture for social media to prove it. Many don’t look at the painting at all; they focus on their smartphone screens. Some even turn their backs, beam their finest Mona Lisa smile, and take a selfie.
Only 30 people allowed in at a time, so it is a challenge to get a ticket if you don’t book well in advance.
Do not to take conspiracy theories and Dan Brown novels too seriously….there are no hidden symbols. This is the true truth as I say it as it is…

We tried to get tickets through the official website but they were sold out weeks ahead. So we got tickets through get your guide. This experience is really not worth it - there is no explanation of anything. You look at the painting for 15 minutes and then leave. My advice is to just look at the painting online and skip the in-person experience. Don't go just because everybody will ask you if you went when you return home.

The tickets to see the Last Supper sell out very quickly and since it was sold out, we decided to go on this tour. You can't miss seeing this work of art when in Milan! It was worth it as the tour guide was able to explain nuances of the painting to us that we would not have understood had it not been for the tour. It is a fragile masterpiece and a must-see!

I gambled and lost. I saw the reviews of the cancellations and convinced myself it was due to COVID. It was not. I booked tickets for myself, my wife and our niece. We were very excited to see this. This company took our reservation and money then cancelled the next day. It was too late to find other options and we are leaving tomorrow. We will miss this. Our niece lives in the USA and may have missed her only chance to see this amazing piece of history, art and human achievement. This company should be held accountable and be put out of business by customers who refuse to give them the opportunity to treat them this way.

I purchased these tickets MONTHS in advance of our late December reservations and on our way to Milan via train I received an email that the tour was cancelled with no explanation. What kind of tour company does this? It was too late to make other arrangements so we missed this excursion altogether. I would think twice about choosing this particular tour company - I strongly suggest that you buy these tickets elsewhere.
