My kids 10 and 12 especially loved the mirror room
Oct 2020
Lots of interesting information about da Vinci and we loved the balance between the inventions and the art. Really well done and we were lucky to have the museum to ourselves. Great gift shop.

Mold smelling basement collection of replicas
Dec 2019
The place is entirely located in a moldy basement. It's poorly lit, it has no bathroom and it's boring as hell. Stay away, there are way too many better things to do in Rome rather than waste your time in this hole.

Good morning, thanks first of all for your visit and your review. To answer to your points, we have to remember that the museum is hosted in the secrets of Santa Maria del Popolo, a wonderful basilica from the 1500s. About Leonardo, he never builts its machine, or in case, they didn't arrived to us nowadays because they were made in wood or poor materials that didn't exceeded the erasure of time. Moreover, the church is under restoration, so that's why you can see some temporary outfit in the last room. Anyway, again, thanks for your review, and we'll be happy if you will come to our museum in the future.

Learnt a lot!!!
Mar 2020 • Couples
£12 a ticket!! But boy do you get a lot of bang for your buck... there was so much stuff in such a small museum; interactive notes, video footage, replicas of the inventions that we could try and copies of his art work all over the museum. Very inter formative trip were we learnt a lot but also had a lot of fun.

Mind-blowing
Jan 2020 • Friends
It is a hidden gem of Rome, showcasing one of the most impressive minds of all time. A cheap fee, not crowded, marvelous replicas of Davinci's inventions and discoveries. And on top of all of this, the staff is very warm and completely ready to open your mind and give you a true representation of Leonardo Davinci. I will visit again.
P.s. I quality, diversity and fair prices in the memorabilia store.
P.s. II they even have a very good replica of mona lisa, which you can study for as long as you desire.

Let me tell you we're particularly proud and happy of your review because you really understood the target of our exhibition, so you can deeply understand what we want to reach by exposing the machines of this - you told it right - "mindblowing" genius that is Leonardo. We'll be happy to see you again while in Rome! Have a nice evening, Museo Leonardo da Vinci, Piazza del Popolo, Roma

Fascinating
Jan 2020 • Solo
For €12 and about 30 minutes out of your day I would say this is well worth a visit providing it's on your route or you are in the piazza de popolo. The genius of the man is quite extraordinary. It's a small museum and even taking time to read everything it can be viewed in a relatively short time.

Amazing!
Dec 2019 • Family
The Museum was amazing, it has a great range of interactive invention exhibits as well as excellent artwork! Highly recommend if you have any interest in it, it was awesome to be able to look at the Mona Lisa etc up close without the crowds of the Louvre!! The staff were very helpful and spoke English. It's a stones throw from the Vatican as well so easy to fit into the day if you're in the area.

Something a bit different!
Nov 2019 • Couples
Florence is filled with plenty of beautiful artwork but this museum offers a slightly alternative way to learn about Da Vinci's life and work. I'm certainly no engineer but I found the working models of his mechanical inventions were a very novel way to see them that would be suitable for most age groups. It also offered video clips, diagrams, working models, and replicas of some of his other works. Highlight was a VR headset demonstrating his inventions at work!

Not a huge museum but it kept us very entertained for over and hour and was a bargain for only 7 euros. Some beautiful items in the gift shop too.

A Brilliant Mind
Sep 2019
This was a wonderful break from the heat on Piazza del Popolo. We spent about 2 hours here listening to the audio guide and wandering through da Vinci's inventions. Some have been replicated from drawings and although some are marked as "do not touch" there are plenty that can be played with.
Don't miss the Porto del Popolo around the corner and Santa Maria on the Piazza while you're here.

An interesting museum in which you will learn something new about Leonardo
Sep 2019
wife and I were exploring Piazza del Popolo for the first time this trip to Rome. We like to go to a new area each time we visit. My wife spotted this museum and immediately decided that we were going to visit before we departed the area. Well worth the time and the 10 euros [discount admission with the Roma card].
