Your early morning tour begins at the main entrance to the Vatican Museums. Meet your guide and small group and enter the museums. Walk through the main galleries, including the Room of the Candelabra, Hall of Tapestries, and Gallery of the Maps.
Before reaching the Sistine Chapel, receive a reference map you can use once inside, a useful resource since visitors to the chapel are expected to be silent. Spend around 20 minutes in the room with Michelangelo’s masterpieces.
After exiting the chapel from a side door head straight to St. Peter’s Basilica, skipping the lines. Your guide takes you to see the baroque Baldacchino, La Pieta, and other masterworks.
The last stop is underneath the main floor of the basilica, where hundreds of Popes are buried.
Finish the tour in front of the Basilica.
