My favorite part was listening to our guide Enrica tell intriguing stories about the history. It really helped me connect to Roma as learning about my roots!

Perfect tour
Jul 2021
I toured the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill with Gracelyn a few weeks ago, and I couldn’t have been happier. When I showed up for the tour, I was surprised to learn that I was the only person who had signed up. While other tour companies might have cancelled, Through Eternity followed through as planned, even with a group of just one person. The tour was excellent, and I learned so much about the sites we visited and Roman history in general. Gracelyn was extremely knowledgable, professional, and friendly, and was able to give detailed answers to all my questions. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to gain an in-depth understanding of these fascinating Roman sites.

Frederika was a great tour guide and so friendly. I loved her sense of humor and personal approach to each person she toured with. She has a degree in Art History so she was extremely knowledgeable about all of the sites we visited and very in depth. We would recommend for sure.

Fantastic Tour and Excellent Guide
Jun 2021
My wife and I recently had a tour of the Roman forum and Colosseum with Robert. He was incredibly engaging and really made the places come alive for us. If you are visiting Rome, there's no substitute for an excellent guide and Through Eternity was prompt, professional, and made our visit a blast. We'll be certain to use them again on future trips!

John Tinto was top notch
Jun 2019
John Tinto gave us a full tour of the Roman Ruins, Circus Maximus, and Colleseum in the 3 hour time period. He offered us fresh, safe water from the springs along the way. He told us interesting stories and showed us photos of what it looked like originally. He has completed much training and a great amount of research so I was able to take away an accurate understanding. Thank you John!

Hello TravelinFoodLover, Thank you for writing about your experience with us and John. He is indeed an amazing guide with a wealth of knowledge about the ancient city and we are happy to read he was able to make you understand the history of the eternal city. Isn’t the water the best!! Fresh and free available throughout the city. Did he sho you the ‘True’ way how to drink from them? Its a challenge alright but definitely worth it :) We hope to welcome you back to Italy in the future to show you more of its beautiful cities, *Desiree*

Above and Beyond
If you’re debating booking this tour, stop, just do it. My guide Enrica was the best guide I had for my entire trip through Italy. Request her if you can! We were lucky as there were only 5 of us, so she was able to really tell us about everything and engage us in conversation and questions. Despite the fact that she must do this quite frequently she speaks about Rome and history with a vivaciousness that leaves everyone hungry for more. She was kind enough to rush us so we could fit bits in that are normally cut out for others. The stories that she recreated really gave you the meat to chew on in terms of the complexity and politics of the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. I decided to take on new reading after her rendition of the life and death of Julius Caesar and his relationship with Octavious and Marc Antony.

It’s funny I thought the Colosseum would be my favorite part of this tour and found myself completely obsessed with the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.

As a bonus Enrica also advised me on some wonderful places that o eat, drink, and listen to live music.

What a wonderful review and thank you so much for giving our enchanting Enrica such a terrific shout-out and I am thrilled what a wonderful day you had with her. She is incredibly intelligent and a highly qualified guide who loves nothing more than recounting Rome's history to her guests. Top that off with knowing all the best places to get off the tourist track and sample some of Italy's famous cuisine and wine, I truly believe her to be one of the best companions you could possibly wish for when exploring the Eternal City. You are right that many write off the Palatine and Forum but seeing as that's actually the birthplace of our city, with the Colosseum arriving many centuries later, thus where our story begin, it's truly enchanting to walk the very steps the ancient Romans did. Be sure to come and pay us another visit soon, I am sure Enrica would be stoked to see you again! Pips

I'm convinced this is THE tour to do when in Rome.
Oct 2019
My wife and I started off our 3-week honeymoon with this wonderful 5 hour tour with John, and we had an absolute blast! John was a wonderful guide who really knew what he was talking about. He brought ancient Rome to life in a way that was captivating, engaging, and equally informative. We left the tour feeling so in awe of the history and culture of ancient Rome, the lives they led, and the activities they partook in. It really gave you a deep appreciation for the one-of-a-kind history that\'s present there, which really helped shape the rest of our time in Rome. Get the VIP tickets so you can see the rest of the colosseum! It was really neat having a special entrance (that let you skip the line, obviously) and getting to see the undergrounds that most people miss.

Delighted you and your wife had such an amazing time with John on our Colosseum Underground tour. He is terrific indeed and with our tickets for the restricted areas of the dungeons and arena floor, makes this tour all the more exciting! We will be sure to pass along your wonderful review to John, he will be stoked - thank you for choosing to explore with us during your stay in Rome. Pips

Great tour
Nov 2019 • Friends
This was by far our favorite tour of the trip. The history is amazing and it was brought to life by our tour guide, Mario. The ruins and colosseum are definitely a must see. The size and beauty is awe inspiring and humbling. It was helped to come to life even more by Mario. He is definitely passionate about what he is showing you and, with a background in theater, he has no problems keeping everyone engaged and the tour lively.

I am not surprised to hear how your time spent with Mario was one of your favourite during your trip, this fellow never fails to impress! Not only by the amount of knowledge he has accumulated over his young years, but because of the way he is able narrate the story of Rome and Italy making the time learning entertaining and time just flies by! Thank you so much for your 5-star review and choosing to explore Rome with us! Pips

Tour Guide John was Awesome
Oct 2019
Took this tour in Oct 2019 (family of 3). We took a 3 week tour of southern Europe and John our tour guide was right up there as one of the best tour guides we had. We booked the underground Colosseum tour with the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. The Colosseum was a must see but the background and perspective that John provided for the other stops made "history come alive". What a great experience and would highly recommend this tour company and "John" (don't think that was his actual name...)... :)

You got the name absolutely correct and our wonderful John is an absolutely smashing guide! Not only a walking encyclopedia but a true gentleman who loves to share his knowledge with our guests. He takes great care to ensure that his tours are conducted in a way that everyone can easily follow the story of Rome, from her humble beginnings through the chaotic times of the Republic and Empire, riveting stuff really! Compliments indeed for John to be named as one of your top European guides but we are not surprised, this fellow really knows how to show folks a great time all the while learning about the lives of the Romans, he really is one of the best guides Rome has to offer and thrilled you thought so too. Thank you for taking the time to write us this wonderful review of your Colosseum Underground tour, it was delightful to have had you with us. Pips
