Overview
Home to some of the world’s most iconic paintings, the Vatican Museums attract huge crowds. Save yourself up to four hours of waiting by booking this skip-the-line tour of the Sistine Chapel, Raphael’s Rooms, and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Early morning and evening tour options mean you can explore the complex during far less crowded time slots. Upgrade to a small-group tour limited to 12 people for a more personalized experience.
What to Expect

Depending on the time slot you selected at checkout, your experience begins outside of the Vatican Museums. Access the Vatican through a special entrance with no lines, saving hours of waiting time.

Walk first through the Gallery of Maps and the Gallery of Tapestries, hearing your guide's commentary loud and clear through your personal headset. Snap photos in front of the Pigna statue in the Pinecone Courtyard before you continue to Raphael’s Rooms.

Spend the next part of the tour gazing upward at the Sistine Chapel, home to Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgement. After, say farewell to your guide and continue to St. Peter’s Basilica to enjoy the church independently.

Please note that on Wednesdays, due to the weekly Papal Audience, St. Peter’s Basilica may be unavailable. Ensure you select a day other than Wednesday if you’re set on seeing the landmark.

Truly Awful Experience. Don’t be tempted !

After checking in with the guide it was slow queues outside and almost an hour until we entered the Vatican. Then the airport style security checks. The guide was good but became irrelevant in the stifling heat and oppressive environment as we shuffled like a...More

Funny guide, great place

Alright, this place is MASSIVE so going with a guide is definitely very very beneficial. You cannot take pictures in the Sistine Chapel but you can everywhere else. The crowd can be overwhelming especially because there are a lot of hallways congested by tourists taking...More

Excellent guide

We were lucky to have Raphael as our guide as his enthusiasm for his live of the place was infectious. At times the technology was poor and we couldn’t hear what he was saying but can’t mark it down for that as his personal input...More

Lovely Laura and amazing sights!

Overall this is a 5 star review based on our fabulous guide Laura and the sights themselves. It is not the fault of City Wonders that we were herded through like sheep and couldn’t take time to take in the incredible statues, artwork, Stacco, murals...More

Easy to find the meeting point, our guide Francesca was quick to introduce herself and get us in the Vatican, she was very knowledgeable and kept up a running commentary for the whole tour! ( except the Sistine chapel) which is supposed to be a...More

We were there about 2 hours; spent a good 30 minutes or more in the Sistine Chapel. This could be because by having the breakfast, we entered at 8:00 and there was a small number of people. When we left, the line (queue) was... More
