About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 689adelc0 contributionsRoman history with teenagersIt was good to leave early (7:30) and get to the archelogical sites of Pompei at the time it opens (9:00), because there is less people in the morning. Vesuvius with a tour guide is highly recommended. Tour guide was included in the price. My 2 teenager boys loved the whole day.Written March 17, 2024
- mayahF9666BK0 contributionsAmazing, Beautiful CountrysideMario and Giovanni were excellent tour guides. We placed our safety (the roads throughout the journey were very narrow and steep) and overall enjoyment in their hands and they did not disappoint us. We were entertained and educated throughout the entire day. The free time was just what we needed to explore the local shops in both Positano and Amalfi. Many places were not yet open in Ravello, but it was certainly a nice, quaint town with amazing views. We would recommend this excursion as a quick way to take in all the beautiful landscape and architecture.Written March 7, 2024
- dianaflanders0 contributionsLast minute let downShortly before we flew to Italy we were informed by Whatsapp that our tour was not going ahead due to lack of interest. Pompeii was our only reason for the trip!! We were offered a place on another tour the day before (the day we were actually flying - too short notice!) or a completely different tour to the Amalfi Coast (which was not of interest to us). We were extremely disappointed and stressed trying to find another tour provider. I eventually came across Enjoy Pompeii who delivered us a fantastic tour - we were the only 2 on the trip but they still went ahead and apparently always do - check them out!Written March 6, 2024
- Andy55730 contributionsGood Experience; Recommended! We enjoyed this tour a great deal. The bus left on time for Pompeii, but there was very heavy traffic to get to the site, apparently this is typical as we did not feel the tour at the site suffered, just be prepared for a fairly long ride time-wise and the possibility of the tour taking longer than estimated. The on-site tour guide was very informative and moved at a steady pace though the ruins. There were a lot of fellow tourists there on our day and it was a little challenging keeping up with our group, but everyone did it. We recommend this tour. The only problem encountered was not the fault of the tour itself; a couple on the tour scheduled their flight out on the same day and the tour operator had to assist them to get their ride to the airport, this caused the rest of the group to wait while these folks waited (and complained) for their taxi. All the while, the couple complained it was the tour companies fault for their poor planning. (Please don't plan tours on the same day you have to fly somewhere.) Again, we recommend this tour to others. May be a little challenging if you are mobility impaired, the site is on a hill and the 'walkways' are certainly not even.Written January 11, 2024
- paulinefE8437QE0 contributionsTerrible customer serviceWe had a severe weather warning for storms and severe wind. We had elderly parents and children, one with disabilities. I emailed them the day before to ask for a change of date or refund as it was severely unsafe to be on the water or walk around Positano. With the steps. They were unwilling to assist despite several emails back and forwards. I would not recommend them or ever tour with them again.Written January 6, 2024
- gloriap4450 contributionsGood Tour But…The guide was knowledgeable and did a great job telling us about the site. However, at the end my husband took the wrong exit and got rather lost. The guide had already left the site so could not help. Our driver was very unfriendly and kept threatening to leave us behind. It was very very stressful. The guide should have stayed until she was sure everyone had exited and found their transportation.Written December 1, 2023
- O8011DLmartas0 contributionsGreat Amalfi Coast Tour with the Best Tour Guide, Roberto!I have taken the Amalfi Coast tour with Roberto for a second time this fall, because I so enjoyed it the first time with my family during the early summer. Roberto is a legendary tour guide, truly the best! His tours run smoothy, as he concerns himself with all the details to make sure his group is well taken care of. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history, culture, music, vegetation, food, shopping, etc. of the area, and shares this knowledge with great passion during his tour. His friendly, outgoing, personality makes the tour truly an enjoyable and fun experience. Of all the tours I’ve taken in the area Roberto’s tour of the Amalfi Coast was definitely the best- I highly recommend it! If you book this tour, make sure you ask for Roberto!Written November 25, 2023
- P6705PCkimm0 contributionsSee the basics but just OKPompeii speaks for itself and it was amazing. I think the tour was fine but not exceptional. The ride was central to Sorrento main square but the trip was more of a lesson on Italian/English translation and singing Italian songs instead of a history of Pompeii and its significance. The major points of Pompeii were discussed but in a fairly uninteresting way. We felt we were being rushed through and the guide did not take much time to explain the different aspects of the ruins. For example, there were clearly tours walking among the 'theaters' but our group was not allowed to go in. We took a look from the outside and had to move on. The tour details clear.y state that there is a lot of walking, steps, etc. and yet there was a group of elderly people within our group who had canes, etc. and held the group back a bit.At the end my husband and I thought we could have trained from Sorrento ourselves and just rented the headsets at the Pompeii site for about half the price and gotten the same experience.Written November 24, 2023
- mohammadaU4263XX0 contributionsGood tour of Pompéi and VesuviusGreat tour of Pompéi and mount Vesuvius. The pick up was a bit chaotic with many groups most of them about 25-30 people. We had a good guide and driver.Written November 11, 2023
- Hayden S0 contributionsDespite bad weather it was a great timeWe did an excellent time exploring Pompeii and the ruins that are there. Though we had initially booked this as the tour to hike up Mount Vesuvius, the weather caused this to be canceled. However, the tour company was able to reassign us to the half-day tour in Pompeii, which ended up being very good. I appreciated the flexibility and not canceling the entire day.Written November 10, 2023

- Tim M0 contributionsMaybe our best Italy tour.Pompeii was overwhelming (good) and the hike to Vesuvius crater was stimulating and unforgettable. It turns out we did the tour two days shy of the 1944th anniversary of the Big Spew in 79 AD and, coincidentally, 1944 was the last time Vesuvius erupted.Written October 30, 2023
- Gia W0 contributionsInteresting/informativeLulu was a great handler and fun with her information on the ride to the area The radio ear pieces were a bit spotty if you got out of range or the guide was not speaking directly into the microphone. When addressed it was fine-Max was very knowledgeable and funWritten October 28, 2023
- whittaker_nikki0 contributionsFabulous! We travelled from Sorrento to Pompeii in the morning - Andreas was our guide and he was fantastic, he was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and gave us lots of information about the local region. Our guide in Pompeii was great, really giving us an insight into the lives of the people of Pompeii and answered all of our many questions. The best bit of the day for us though was the reason we came to Sorrento - to climb Vesuvius. The bus took us up as far as possible, again Andreas gave us lots of geological and historical information about Vesuvius on the way up, then we had an hour and a half to walk up to the top of the crater and take in the views over the bay of Naples- and what a view! Can’t recommend this trip enough! Well done Iamme Ia :-)Written October 26, 2023
- Charles F0 contributionsTerrific experience to visit ruinsGreat opportunity to see both sites and learn about life in Pompeii. Our guide Alesso was terrific! He gave a great overview of the cultural & practical daily life in Pompeii & its relationship with Rome. He really explained well about the events in the days leading up to the eruption & the experiences of the inhabitants.Written October 24, 2023

That's was a wonderful day in one of the most beautiful parts of the world that I've experienced. Roberto did a fabulous job informing and entertaining us through the entire day
The add on boat ride in Amalfi was worth the extra time and money. A really fun day.

Lisa did a fabulous job! Perfect amount of time at each stop, air conditioned bus. So well organized. Lisa was definitely the best tour guide, hands down, compared to the other tour guides we encountered this trip.

I thought this tour was alright. It was well-organized, getting us to each town without any transit issues. I do think it's the easiest way to see all 3 places in one day. The meeting spot was clear and easy to find. Our guide was good, but not incredibly compelling. She gave us good details on where to get a quick meal, how to find the restroom, etc. in each city, which was helpful. We only had an hour or so in each place, and would have liked at least 30 minutes more to explore in each spot. There was another boat ride you could purchase at an additional cost of 12E that I thought was worthwhile, but would have been nice if that cost was included.

Whilst it was a great tour we felt they tried to cram too much in so we didn’t have enough time to explore the charming villages. Also the stretch of roads and sea views we were looking forward to seeing were replaced by a (busy) local ferry journey between Positano and Amalfi which was a shame, all down to traffic congestion on the roads (recognising that we are part of and adding to the problem of course). Maybe some re-scheduling is required, perhaps having only two stops to sight-see rather than three might help? We took up the offer of an additional boat excursion in Amalfi which we wouldn’t bother with again and on reflection our time would have been better spent exploring the back streets. Our guide for the day was Jack (Roberto) Black who was very entertaining and worked hard along with the driver to get us all around safely together so 5 stars for the two of them.

An awesome day - we’ll organized and great commentary from Dani our guide. Alfredo our driver went the extra mile to get us to Positano due to rock slides on the regular route.
Great day and we’ll worth it - thanks again Dani and Alfredo!

I loved everything about this day. The drive, the tour guide, the beautiful vistas, the incredible towns, the ferry ride and the add on 12 euro coastal shore ride was epic. Special shout out to the bus drivers on these roads. You are all incredible the way you navigate with such ease!

It was a good tour got to see a lot. However I feel it’s a little more expensive compared to some of the other tours.
I did 2 tours with this company and for this one The tour guide was ok would have liked more history and facts around what I’m doing.
There was a 12 Euro boat tour which would have been nice to be included

We were a bit unlucky as weather was rainy and day was cloudy however our guide Roberto was doing a great job to keep us happy. He was very informative and first of all carring. I regret, I couldn't fully enjoy panoramic views due to low clouds butI I still enjoyed our trip. I need to mention our driver Andrea who carefully drive the minibus along wet and 'ribbon' roads. Bravo Andrea!

Roberto was an experienced guide who took into account an special situation of my friend who has a problem in her foot. Special congratulations to the driver who handled difficult moments on the road. He was accurate keeping the schedule of a trip with many changes of locations. worth the money and the 12 Euros mini cruise. Nice detail on the bus trip playing the music of Andrea Bocelli going to Ravello.

What an amazing trip. And Roberto made it all the better. Excellent organization and clear meeting points and precise times. He made everything so much easier had a great rappor with everyone on the bus. He’s like an encyclopedia of Italy his knowledge and information was second to none. Information the whole trip with a bit of music thrown in which was lovely. He made it clear that the meeting time had to be met and always gave a landmark where to meet. The 25euro extra for the boat trip along the Amalfi coast was well worth it and lots more info from Roberto. The 3 places we visited were all stunning. On the way back home he walked the bus and asked everyone what hotel they were in so that if we passed it he would drop you off.
Thank you Roberto for making the trip so much more enjoyable rather than sitting on a bus/boat not knowing where you are. Your enthusiasm is amazing!
Do this trip and hope you get Roberto and you won’t be sorry.

Hi,would love to do this tour, but I would like to know the exact time the tour starts because I'm coming from Venice to Naples I land around 7:50 ish and from NAP Airport to the pickup location is about an 1 hr drive, so I want to make sure I will have enough time to meet at the pickup location.
And also is the tour exactly 8 hrs? because I have to be back at the NAP Airport by 7:30 pm so I just want to make sure I have enough time for everything.
Thank you!

In Amalfi, can I spend longer in the cathedral to look at it properly. I see that you only allow for 10 minutes in there. I see that we have lunch in Amalfi, so can I spend some of my lunchtime in the cathedral? Also in Ravello does the minibus take us up to the Villa Rufolo? Also when does the tour begin - at 8.30am?
thank you Eleo Carson

We left the square to go to the bus in Sorrento at 9am. We had about an hour free time in both Amalfi and Ravello. This should be enough time to do both the things you asked about. The bus dropped us off a short walk from the main area in Ravello. Hope this helps. The tour was definitely worth it!
