Explore Barcelona’s culture and culinary traditions with a 3.5 hour daytime tour through the emblematic medieval Born and the fishermen’s district of Barceloneta. Discover where locals shop with a visit to the Santa Caterina Market and indulge in 12+ food tastings across traditional Catalan establishments including a bodega, a traditional restaurant by the sea, and more. Devour local delicacies such as paella and local cured meats while uncovering the rich history of the two neighborhoods. All food and wine tasting included.
  • Get an insider's view of Barcelona's culinary scene on a tapas tour
  • Guide provides restaurant recommendations to last your entire vacation
  • Receive personalized attention in a small group limited to 12
  • Visit less-crowded local spots for a more authentic experience
What to Expect
Your culinary tour begins in central Barcelona, where you greet your guide and small group limited to 12 people. Awaken your taste buds with coffee and a traditional Catalan pastry, xuixo, and head to a family-run deli to sample meat and cheeses.
Continue to Santa Caterina Market—a less-crowded alternative to La Boqueria Market—to learn about local produce before doing more tastings in the Born area, where one of the stops is to a shop that’s been open for more than 150 years.
Then, head to Barcelona’s fisherman’s quarter to sip vermouth in a tapas bar before tucking into home-cooked paella. Your guide teaches you about traditions, like drinking from a porron, and festivals. The tour concludes here.
