This tour is not to be missed. I had walked through the Jewish Quarter of Barcelona by myself and had completely missed the hidden gems to be found. Adi was wonderful. He was personable and knowledgeable and made the history enjoyable. He augmented Jewish history with Roman, Muslim and Christian history and put the sites and artifacts we saw in context - both historically and present day. The two hours flew by.

I highly recommend this experience to those interested in learning about Jewish history in Spain.

I wanted to do a Jewish tour when we were in Barcelona and an online search turned up this company. My husband and I decided on taking the Jewish Quarter walking tour. We were aware that many of the historical sites have disappeared through the ages but decided to learn what we could. The company was very responsive and we had no trouble making a reservation. Our tour guide was ready for us a the appointed time and place. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the Jews of Barcelona. There was plenty to see plus a few unexpected surprises. She had a great sense of humor and it was a lot of fun despite the seriousness of the subject. I highly recommend this tour.

I hired them for a 4 pm tour. I called to ask if they, perhaps, could meet us early and they couldn’t which was fine and I totally understood. Michal said someone would be there at 4:30. I had booked a tour for 4 PM not 4:30. Per all the paperwork sent the tour started at 4pm. I shared that was not the correct meeting time. Normally 30 mins wouldn’t have been an issue but had I not reached out about meeting earlier I wouldn’t have known that she was not sending someone until 430. Normally a late start is not an issue but we had an appointment at a specific time later that after noon so we need to start promptly at 4 PM. she was unwilling to send someone there on time. I asked her to cancel the tour and refund our money because we had somewhere else to be. Micah asked if we wanted to cancel the tour and sadly we needed to because of the late start and her mistake. There are many other tours and companies that do similar tours some advice to you is to use a different company that is more reliable. If Michal credits our payment I will gladly update this review. Please know that if you book this tour you must be extremely flexible on start time and be willing to wait until Mical is ready to send someone to be your guide.

Dear Kim, Thank you for taking the time to communicate with us about your experience. It is critical to us that we understand our clients and the ways in which we failed to meet your needs. I am truly sorry we were not able to provide you with the BarcelonaDreaming experience and that it caused unnecessary complications for you and your schedule. I contacted all of our guides to try to arrange for someone to come at 4 PM, but they were all previously engaged, so unfortunately we were not able to provide you with an experience. We absolutely understand this was a limitation in our ability to meet your needs and your timeframe. We will offer a full refund, and appreciate your understanding and willingness to update the review. I am personally invested now in making sure this does not happen again to any of our clients in the future. My most sincere apologies again, Michal

We went on three tours in Barcelona. The other two were fabulous! This one was extremely boring. Our tour guide kept showing us pictures and talking for 30 minutes at a time. I told her we would like to see more and have less talking but she didn’t seem to care what we wanted. It was a waste of time and money.

I am so sorry to hear about your negative experience - especially when the other two were such great tour experiences. We will definitely speak to the guide and try to understand what happened and perhaps she misunderstood the situation. In any case, we will do what we can to prevent this from happening again. It is our goal to ensure our tours are interesting, enlightening, and fun. Thank you for your feedback to help us improve our services.

We visited Barcelona as Spain started opening up post covid. A few places were still closed (for example the Synagogue) but we met Dina and walked around and had a wonderful time. Dina is very knowledgeable and likeable. It was a pleasure to have her as our guide.
Michal was very responsive and patient and helped me work around our schedule to figure out timing for the tour.

We had a very insightful and meaningful tour of the Barcelona Jewish Quarter with our guide Dafna. She is very knowledgeable of the complex history of Spanish Jewry as well as current status of Jewish life there. This tour was a highlight of our time in Spain. Highly recommend for anyone interested in a better understanding of Spanish Jewish history.

As we had been to Barcelona not long ago...and had seen a large portion of the Gaudi sights, we decided to book a 2 hour walking tour of the old Jewish quarter this time around.Adi Mahler was our private guide...he was awesome....so well educated on the history and present day city. We loved every minute. I highly recommend this tour...amazing points of interest...great archeology and fascinating history.

We were given the tour by historian/ Researcher THERESA, who was very well versed in the history and little details of the Jewish Quarter. It was very exciting learning about the story of Catalan Jews and to see the architectural remains. Highly recommended.
