    Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site
    Stop: 4 hours
On this tour we escort you to the site by public transport. Our fully trained guide will take you round all areas of the memorial site, giving you an insight into the suffering of the prisoners and relating the story of the concentration camp system to historical developments during the time of the National Socialist regime. We guide you round the cells, barracks and gas chamber and explain the meaning behind the pictures and exhibits in the museum with thought-provoking accounts of prisoners’ own experiences, from the setting up of the camp until their liberation by US-forces in 1945. There is a 22 minute documentary film in English, although we stress that this is deemed unsuitable for children underv 13 years old

A might see for people interested in history
Feb 2020
Really experience guide and friendly. My only complaint would be that you do know what you will see on the tour until you get there. The information on trip advisor says you get to see the camp but doesn’t point out that there might be th.ings that you would be interested in that the guide does not include. You have no time to yourself so I was left feeling that I had missed a couple of things that I went there to see. I don’t blame anybody I just think when booking this trip you should be aware.

A truth to be seen
The camp is pretty much empty. They have rebuilt some areas, so you have an idea of how it used to be. It's heartbreaking, but it's part of our history that can't be forgotten nor repeated.

The Best tour guide - Cornelia
Jan 2020 • Couples
We visited Dachau Camp with IN Munich. It was very good organised tour with public transport. Our guide Cornelia was excellent, very knowledgable about the camp and was able to answer any questions we had. This was absolutly a highlight of our visit in Munich.
I would highly recommend this tour.

A Must for everyone and anyone who cares about humanity
Jan 2020 • Couples
Our guide Connie was exceptional in providing a compassionate experience that also added so much to our perspective on this terrible time in history. You will no doubt learn something even if you think that you know “enough” from books and film. There is no substitute to actually being in the place where this all happened. Some very concerning parallels to what is happening in some western democracies today. Never again!

Eric was a terrible guide.
Dec 2019
Eric was terrible--soft spoken and "quirky and odd" as described by another family on our tour. He rushed and made some odd comments. He did not make the tour personal at all but did seem knowledgeable about the facts he shared. Eric allowed about 10 people not on our tour to join us; they stood in-front of people that paid and were officially on the tour.

He did NOT give warning to departure time. He said "about 15 minutes to use the restroom and shop" and disappeared. Not everyone made the bus--they were left behind due to a long line at the gift shop check out. Actually they were almost to the bus as it closed the doors and drove away. Eric did not check or give a 5 minute warning.

Be at least 5 minutes early for this tour! Eric was literally walking the group to the subway at the exact time listed.

My family is quite educated about the Holocaust and has visited with numerous survivors and liberators.

I did hear that a guide named Jeff was really good. Wish we had been on his tour instead!

Excellent, Infromative Tour

This was an excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide whose presentation style was both unique and interesting. It was a very thorough tour of Memorial Site and pulled no punches. My interest was maintained throughout and I highly recommend the tour to anyone.

Sobering and very informative
Dec 2019
It's a lot of walking and standing but the information is first rate. Possibly not what some would consider appropriate for a vacation but it's important we remember what happened here.

Humble visit with a great guide
Dec 2019
Stephan was our guide from Marienplatz to and from Dachau.
He was great watching over the group during the transfer via train and bus - assured the group was together at all times.
The Dachau visit is a humbling experience and everyone should have a look. The facilities will change your view on history if you know WWII only from media.
Again, our fabulous tour guide supplied details and connected points you seldom see connected in books or documentaries.
