About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- B9050GNrandyh0 contributionsBrown line is a steaming pile of ....Brown-line which covered three countries: Budapest, Croatia and Bosnia. I have to agree with the other reviewer of this trip. Rushed, low quality and a gotcha at the end. If I book a trip advertised as multi-lingual, I'm going to expect the guide to be speaking in multiple languages. When I book a trip for English speakers, I expect to be hearing mostly English with an accent that can pronounce the words. Examples, One of the cities visited was Split. Without L, this was pronounced Spit. There were no Steaks to eat, only Sticks. My wife thought the accent was so heavy that she missed most of the dialog thinking it was Mandarin. We didn't even know until the last day of the tour that it was actually three languages. Not being able to hear the difference between the two Chinese dialects, we were given the impression that the guide was consistently spending twice as much time with them them and less with the English speakers. And there was always more laughter coming from the Chinese speaking group when he talked. Except for the two nights in Dubrovnik, the hotel accommodations were terrible. Every other hotel had what looked like air conditioners and climate controls, but none of them worked. Most didn't even have instant coffee. Most had no nearby places to eat or shop. Please be aware of this ahead of time so you can be prepared with portable fans or even wait for a tour in a cooler time of the year. Kenny, the guide was clearly Anti-Muslim. Going as far as to say one place didn't have anything interesting and suggested to the bus that we skip the town. The monastery was not an empty building that didn't deserve a look. It was a well maintained and fully operational place of worship. As for the gotcha, there were several optional excursions, (pronounced exclusions). They added up quickly and did not match what was advertised. We were stuck buying eros from others to pay for it since we had already returned to Hungary by this time and hod no access to EU ATM machines. If you are looking for a low cost way to travel Europe, save even more by not booking at all. -- Randy Hall, Washington DC, USAWritten September 14, 2024
- B1964TNalvinc0 contributionsWonderful taste of Scandinavia... make sure you're prepared. This was a fast-paced tour that gives you a little taste of each country. Our tour guide was funny, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Pro tips: * If you booked through Viator, make sure you contact the tour operator for a more detailed itinerary and the costs to watch out for. Ask for details and the contact information of your tour guide. * Once you get the full itinerary, you can plan ahead during your free time. Personally, I would skip the Stockholm cruise and use that time to explore the city further. * Always be mindful of the time. * Make sure to pack waterproof shoes and some water-resistant clothing. Umbrellas are good but raincoats/ rain ponchos are much better. * You'll be staying at a different hotel every night. I would recommend packing to section your suitcase per day so you don't have to unpack and repack every single day. * Have a waterproof bag that you can wear in front of you for all your valuables and electronics. * The Norwegian fjord cruise has an audio guide that you can play while going on the cruise. Download the app with the cruise wifi or download ahead through the fjords cruise site - this will be the Naeroyfjord cruise * Most hotels will be inaccessible to the main city, except for the one near Oslo. You can take the metro from the hotel to the city after you check in, to get more time in Oslo. * If you want to save a little on food, buy your food at the 7-Elevens and supermarkets around Scandinavia. Your guide will let you know which hotels have food or not.Written September 8, 2024
- Raheela B0 contributionsDisappointing trip with GoEuGo!!Extremely….Disappointing 7 day trip with Brown-line which covered three countries: Budapest, Croatia and Bosnia. Out of 5 I am rating 2. Horrible hotels!!! Two of the hotels had mold, AC didn’t work in 3 hotels meanwhile the temperatures were in 90. Horrible tour guide “Kenny”. Who had limited knowledge of history and the sites we visited. He was extremely prejudice against other religions. And made fun of other religions in mandarin and in English. He also made derogatory statements about Bosnia. It didn’t meet our expectations at all. We will never travel with them again.Written August 30, 2024
- DrDickey0 contributionsMy introduction to the Hotel David Whitney! From the moment I pulled up to the hotel, I was greeted with grace and dignity by the valet team and doorman! — And Desmon, the guest services attendant, was phenomenal. Desmon was curteous, welcoming, and knowledgeable. After a long day of travel, he was exactly what I needed. And my suite was incredibly well-appointed and spacious. —- From now on Hotel David Whitney will be my go to in Detroit! Dr. DickeyWritten August 20, 2024
- Betty E0 contributionsFrom Fjords to Floorboards: A Scenic Adventure with Minor BumpsThe Scandinavia trip was an unforgettable experience, filled with beautiful landscapes and memorable moments. Although there were a few minor hiccups with some of the accommodations, they were easily overshadowed by the overall success of the journey. Our tour guide, Miriam, went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. She was very helpful and resourceful which made the trip even more enjoyable. The breathtaking scenic views - fjords to picturesque villages—were truly the highlights, leaving me in awe. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to explore the beauty of Scandinavia.Written August 18, 2024
- jamescD5125HG0 contributionsA great trip with a few minor shadowsThe views around Norway and Sweden were amazing, the natural scenery is like something from a fairytale. If you like long coach drives, this is the trip for you! Definitely would recommend going. The little mermaid statue in denmark is interesting to see, especially if you watched the disney movie... its nice to find out about where the story came from. My only complaints would be that goeugo demand "tips" or "service charge" for the tour guide and coach driver of €10 per person per day, then also charge €35 per person to take you to 2 viewpoints which are actually free to visit... leaves you feeling a little ripped off. The entry fee for a few of the optional activities is half the price if buying directly from the place you are entering. A couple of the hotels were not great, the toilet flush broke first time and we were basically told "thats just what happens" by hotel staff. Make sure you're ready to be on the coach by 7:45 AM Other than that, you visit some great places and see some great things. The tour guide Mariam was helpful and very friendly. If you have the funds, I would definitely recommend.Written August 18, 2024
- traveljunkieHI0 contributionsA wonderful overall exposure to Portugal and Spain.Loved this tour. stopped very early in quaint villages/locations before the large tour groups arrived. The guide/driver were wonderful. The accommodations were also spot on. I would recommend this to anyone.Written July 11, 2024
- C9388GKmaribelc0 contributionsCancelled the tour less than 10 days before my tripI booked the tour since MAY, to go in July, booked my plane tickets and everything for them to cancel my reservation less than 15 days before my trip. I only received an email with my refund and a "sorry for the inconvenience", it wasn't until I called costumer service from viator (which was where the tour was also offered) that the helpful staff were able to explain that the local company was "fully booked". I don't know if they didn't respect my reservation or what, but I was left without 7 days of accommodation and with my plans ruined. I even tried to rebook the tour since on the website it still appeared as "available" via phone call, but the same thing happened again. It took 1-2 days to actually appear on all the websites, so if you tried to book it you apparently could, but were sent a cancellation mail hours after. My complain goes directly towards the local company tour, it is UNACCEPTABLE that with such short notice of the selected dates the whole thing gets cancelled with the motive that they are "fully booked". How can that be if it was booked and fully charged to my credit card with 2 months of anticipation?. On a side note, a €10 mandatory daily tip per person is just crazy, more so of you don't travel alone. Do not recommend at all if you plan ahead your holidays as I do.Written July 8, 2024
- dronoa0 contributionsMust avoid #GoeuGo if you are traveling with familyIt's not family friendly at all. No castomar support. Lots of hidden cost. They charged me City tax and must paid gratitude for below 5 year old child, which is illegal. They Charge almost full for child but never provide 3 ocupency room. All hotels are outside of city.Written May 30, 2024
- equeslady3040 contributionsDo Not Book With Firebird for Portugal!Do not book with Firebird! Their customer service is appalling. Our friends and we travel a great deal. This was the worst experience we have ever had with a tour company. First of all, the hotels were great. We were in the Olissipo Castelo in Lisbon, the Eurostar Das Artes in Porto and The Quinta Da Cotinha in Alijo not Pinhao, as they insisted. Alijo is in the middle of nowhere far into the mountains, thirty minutes away from Pinhao and away from all the action. The Quinta was wonderful, as was the sweetest manager you could ever find. However, we were left in a small, old town that did not normally have visitors. We struggled to find anywhere to have meals since the Quinta only served breakfast. No one in the village spoke English to assist us when we were lost. Firebird had the nerve to tell us that we were wrong as to being booked in Alijo, and that we were booked in Pinhao. I think the sign entering the town should be more accurate. On our first evening, after being exhausted after our travel, we received an email that our tour for the next day was changed from an historical tour to a food walking tour. We had to spend more than an hour arguing with Firebird to obtain a comparable tour. Then, they provided a tour guide who barely spoke English who left us stranded in an unknown area of Lisbon where we had no idea how to return. One of our co-travelors had mobility issues. She had great pain struggling the hills of Lisbon to try to find our way back to our hotel. The worst part was when we arrived in the Douro Valley. Our tour was to include a winery tour with lunch included, for which we had already paid. When we met with our driver, he said that Firebird had not booked the winery tour, and he was uncertain as to where to even take us. Finally, he found out that a winery tour was scheduled, but that we would have to pay for our own lunch, even though we had already paid for it through Firebird. When we sat down for what appeared to be a beautiful location for lunch and they brought wine out for us, they abruptly pulled the wine away from us as we reached to pour, telling us that we had to leave. We are four professional people, and found this to be extremely humiliating. Our driver then took us to a greasy spoon in town where we ate stale bread and cheese at our own expense. There was no where else to eat at that time of day. Overall, I would never book with them again. They are unresponsive when you contact them in an emergency situation and do not deliver on promises and representations. They provide you with such canned email responses that you question whether you are communicating with a human. They never offer solutions, and merely try to buy time, saying they are looking into it. When you are traveling to a country in which you do not speak the language, this is particularly uncomfortable. If it had not been for the kindness of the Portugese drivers, guides and hotel staffs, we would have been in big trouble. Portugal, itself, is a wonderful country. The people are very friendly, kind and generous. Do not allow Firebird to damage the experience.Written May 27, 2024
- U9864LKmikew0 contributionsGOEUGO PURPLE A LINEEnjoyed the stops and sights of this Purple route. It was a combined English/Mandarin speaking, and the Tour Manager Mickey spoke in both languages equally. Kudos to Mickey and Alex the driver, both were friendly, engaged, and tried hard to stay on schedule. We didn't do the day tour of London, but on our own for personal preference. We found the accomodation further away from city center are more modern and comfortable. Overall, it's a good value.Written May 25, 2024

- bmhlwang10 contributionsbad attitude of tour manager, collect gratuity before serves starts, refuse to quit the tour feeOur whole family (3 adults and one child) have booked your 14 days’ tour group departing at Paris on 14 oct 2023. The hotel in Luxembourg at the first day has newly painted and has great smells in the arranged room for me. I have brought a 3 years old child, thus I asked the tour guider(鄢祥 Charles)to exchange an hotel room without big smell. The tour manager told me the hotel is full, we should stay in the arranged room or else we will sleep in the lobby. Except that the tour manager had done nothing but showed a very bad attitude toward our whole family, this has been recorded as the attachment. However, the second day after I checked again with the hotel manager, they confirmed the newly painting and confirmed there are 19 rooms available that night. I attached the email letter between me and the manager of Luxembourg hotel. So obviously, the tour manager has cheated us. Except that, the tour manager collected the two days’ Gratuity at the noon of the first day, that is violating the rules about the gratuity. Because of the bad attitude of this tour manager, and obviously the quality of hotel is not delivered as the commitment, I asked for the feedback about the lateral hotel, such as whether they have painted recently, if they can give me this information and confirmed no problem, I will continue join the tour group, however, no anywhere gives me such feedback. I called your EMERGENCY PHONE NL: +31 - 64344 8738 the night of October 14, there’s no answer the night when the thing happens. And the day of October 15,I called again and the front desk said they will record and the corresponding department will give feedback. How, no any feedback receives until today.Written November 22, 2023
- gaara12340 contributionsGreat Fast Tour. Good Value. Highly Recommended!Went on the Yellow Line (7-Day Spain and Portugal) Tour. This tour is jam-packed with things to do and see. Very fast-paced pace but while at the different locations, there is adequate time to see different attractions. You will not be able to see every main attraction and you might be not able to enter every attraction due to time restrictions and availability but this is warned to you ahead of time during booking and in the itinerary. The hotels we stayed at are only 3 stars and below. You may get the odd one or two 4-star hotels during your whole tour but this won't be communicated until the day before you arrive at your arrival city. The hotels are constantly changing due to availability and the size of your tour group. I would warn people to lower your expectations. Some of the hotels are very bad and some are very good. If you have no expectations, you won't be disappointed. On this tour, we had Mirjam as our tour guide. Despite what other reviewers may say about her. She was very organized and friendly and at no point would you say she was rushing you. Remember, she has a strict schedule she has to follow as this is a fast-paced tour and she has to get us to the main attractions, give us time to eat and shop, get us to our hotel and do it again the next day. I do not recommend being late for the pickup times she or any tour guide gives as there is a possibility of being left behind and that is on you not the tour company or the tour guide. Would I travel with GoEUGo again, yes I would and I plan to travel on their other lines. I've done their Green Line and now the Yellow Line. Loved both!Written October 21, 2023
- T327YDmonab0 contributionsWorthwhile trip--hope you get a good TD.Actually went June 2022. 2 week tour of Copenhagen, Norway and Sweden. Beautiful place like Alaska where I grew up. I was frustrated that they only gave me 1 hour and 29 minutes to connect to my flight in Chicago when I wanted an earlier flight from Salt Lake. I was put off by Tour Director Goran Pilovec. I know I was not as fast as I wanted to be or that he wanted me to be. I am about 20 years older than he was. At a stop I was buying a snack and was attempting to make the transaction, dealing with language barriers and money and Goran came out yelling at me for taking too much time. I was in a hotel lobby and Goran was arguing with an employee in a language I couldn't understand. I also saw him arguing with someone when I was on the bus waiting for a ferry. It is a worthwhile trip and hope you don't get Goran as your tour director.Written October 12, 2023

Even as upset as I am, I'm going to leave an even-handed review of GoEUGo Green Line that runs from France-Italy. The pace of this tour this tour is so fast that you only get a flash of each location or monument and you have to move on. My biggest issue with goEUgo is the hotel quality; is NOT always 3 stars. Many of the hotels we stayed at were 2 or 1 star hotels with abysmal conditions including lack of AC, mosquitos and other bugs, lack of food choices and general filthiness. The way this works is that the central office books the absolute cheapest rooms in the area without vetting the properties. Also these hotels are always about an hour away from anything worth seeing or eating. So you're stuck eating crappy food for dinner most of the time because you're on a bus that is always delayed by traffic.
On a positive note, our leader Erik and our driver were the absolute best; trying to make the best of the issues as they arose.
Not a soul on the bus would repeat a tour with GoEUGo ever again. This tour is only good if you can't speak English well enough to get around in Europe or you're so broke you can't afford better. This was the biggest mistake we ever made in terms of both time and money wasted. Stay away from these tours if you want to enjoy your vacation.

Toured with your green line from Paris to Paris on April 20 to 26, 2019( English). Traveled with my sister and family with kids of 17 and 12. Sebastian was our tour guide, he was okay. Would have been better if he provided more commentaries and encouraged to ask questions and would provide answers as well. Our driver for the long haul was Kristoff and he was great especially in going thru narrow and winding roads! Our bus was okay, clean but would have been better if there was wifi. It was still okay because we have wifi in the hotels that we stayed. The hotels were okay also, expected to be small being in Europe but the one that we stayed in Switzerland(ARTE) was real nice and big. The others were alright. the worst was the one we stayed in Avignon,it was raining that day and it was leaking near the elevator and water going in it, it also has the worst breakfast!(more selections please) Ham slices were still frozen and the service at their restaurant was very slow even when Sebastian called them in advance that a number of people will be dining with them.Very disappointing was that we were not able to go to the optional tours offered... Colloseum and the Sistine Chapel It would have been the highlight of the tour.Sebastian said that there were no ticket available anymore. If i can just suggest? like what they do here in Toronto on Nexus tours.. they ask their clients which optional tours they want to go to and get them pay in advance that way your company can book ahead and have a better chance of your clients getting in optinal tours. Being said of of that... I will still use goEUgo for my tour travel to Europe. My review is just to help you serve your clients better.

Alex was our English language tour manager and I can't say enough about how hard he worked within the confines of this tour to keep us on-time, informed, and entertained. To say it was sometimes brutal would be a bit of an understatement. Yes, it is a cost-effective tour when you factor in every night's accomodations is included, not to mention you don't have to do any of the driving, nor pay for fuel costs, toll costs, parking passes/fees, even some boat transfer fees and etc. But as the name implies you will get a taste, but it's more like a lick. Time on ground outside of a bus at the actual places of interest can be as little as *20 minutes* - what can you explore in 20 minutes of any place?! This after being on a bus for some 7+ hours in some cases. We knew some of this before hand, but did not know the logistics you have to bear to keep up. One major design change they should consider, which would probably add to the overall cost but would make the trip so much better, is to simply stay at a hotel IN / closer to the city we are scheduled to visit - instead of a hotel 30+ minutes outside. I know some of it because of the route but for their Rome and Lucerne stops, staying in-town would have provide a nice opportunity to really see the place.
When we went, they had 5 buses running the same Green Line, so every stop had 5 buses of people getting out to rush to use the toilets / WC and stock up on snacks and drinks. Every day had the same pattern of getting up super early, rushing through the hotel's buffet breakfast as soon as it opens (and in some Italian hotels there was two-tier breakfast buffets between bread + egg/meat and bread/pastries breakfast and they only paid for the bread/pastries one! ) , load up luggage, sit in a bus for hours, stop at one or more rest stops to get gas/petrol station food or other kind of fast food, see the actual tourist site in very limited time, load up, sit while they drive again, 1 or 2 more rest stops where we are told repeatedly to get some food here else chance not finding any dinner options except in the hotel, roll into a new hotel's parking at around 8 or 9PM (and in most cases you will not know the name of the hotel until a few hours before), unload luggage, try to find dinner, try to sleep and repeat. (You will spend more time in the bus than anywhere else - so hopefully you have nice neighbors on the bus you can befriend.) And then there were the upsells, I could understand some of them, but some were stops at a leather factory, or a perfume factory, when time could have been better spent seeing an actual real historic sight ( I'm pretty sure there's kickback for those stops, including the gas station ones, but again I think the costs would increase without them.) The buses themselve also had a working toilet but we couldn't use it due to "European work laws (concerning th driver both driving almost 12 hours a day and then not having enough time to clean the toilet)." Each seat on the bus (Man's Lion Coach) had 2 USB-A ports and were relatively new and clean. Their A/C only ran when the bus was started, so if the driver (shout out to Jakob!) doesn't get it started and it is a hot day, it heats up inside fast! Also because there were 5 buses running the same line, you have to be sure you return to the same one. The stairs were steep getting off and on the bus, and some days we walked 20K+ steps, so you got to keep up. After all the cons and some pros, I'd say you might consider this tour if the above is tolerable to you - ideal if you are single, as you are in large crowd that goes everywhere with you so you will feel safer, but in any other arrangement it might be tougher, with kids, or the elderly. And ultimately, you can't really say you visited those cities for anything other than a picture (often from the outside). They should call their tours :"A Lick of Europe to make a check off a box for that one picture in front of some famous tourist's trap and nothing more." But on the plus side they do run like it like a regional bus system, so you could get off the bus at a city your choosing, spend a week until the next one runs through and hop back on board, and upon completion of one line, switch off to another, say the Red Line. But I didn't do this, so I'm not sure how easy it is, or how easy it is to pay even (we had to send a physical check to their Vancouver Canada office - talk about old school!).

Our family joined 2 colour of lines (routes) by joining in the middle of the orange tour in Rome, then changed to the purple line in Avignon.
The tour was in a rush and you spent most of the time on the coach, basically a coach tour. Just wanna share an example of a day - we rushed from Senreno in Italy in the early morning to Monaco in the later morning, then Nice in the afternoon, Cannes in the evening, and finally somewhere near Avignon at night. Horribly spent >5 hours on coach a day.
If you like rushing your day, that’s definitely your choice.
Further, you got sent to “tourist shopping facilities”. For example, the fragrance factory in France, the leather “factory” in Italy… they’re actually a shop but prolly there’re commission in between so everyone got sent there for few hours every two days regardless of the super packed schedule.
For the accommodation, poor on average as expected. Minimal service, facilities, and equipments were served from the hotel, not to mention the super small hotel rooms. Every night is a disappointment.
Moreover, the tour guides quality were poor than average. I’m sorry to say that but that’s the reality - the first tour guide Ken was not quite organised, for example, dumped us for toilet stop in Cannes and the famous red carpet was actually blocked. Tourists were left there without direction then went back to the coach. Such a disappointment. Another discouraging thing was about the sexist joke that he thought Asian could take over. Sorry but that’s a no.
For the second tour guide in the purple line, Andy, he was sneaky. When we first got picked up from the hotel, Andy already pressured us to buy the “package” of tourist spots by exaggerating that it would cause trouble to other tour mates for taking extra route and time if not visiting these famous spots. We found out it was a lie as 2 out of 40 tourists didn’t buy anything and we all got sent to the same spot and shared the same bus route. More importantly, he sold the ticket of Pont du Gard at €25 per head, which its official website only charges us €6.5. That’s definitely a RIPE OFF.
Unfortunately, every second in the tour was a torture and not sure if it would be a right choice to be with Go Euro Go anymore.

Visiting Paris, Lucerne, Milan, Venice, Pisa, Florence, Monaco, Nice and Cannes was a lifetime memory. I will highly recommend this tour for the ones who are first time visitors of Europe.
