Overview
The Palace of Versailles is one of France’s top attractions, and widely considered the jewel in Paris’ crown. On this tour, explore the palace and grounds with your guide and gain insight into royal life in 18th-century France. The tour includes entrance fees and round-trip travel from central Paris, and you can upgrade to visit Marie Antoinette’s Petit Trianon followed by a 3-course gourmet lunch with wine at the palace.
What to Expect
Meet your escort in central Paris in the morning, and take the 30-minute public train journey out to Versailles to meet your palace guide. Then, head inside to begin your tour.

Explore the beautiful hallways and state rooms, and follow in the footsteps of King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette along the spectacular Hall of Mirrors. Along the way, your guide will share inside details of life in the palace in the 18th century.

Afterward, step out into the palace grounds and continue your visit in the pretty gardens. Admire the beautifully manicured flowerbeds and lawns, and perhaps catch the Musical Fountain Show (depending on visiting time).

For a truly memorable experience, you can upgrade your tour to include a visit to the Petit Trianon— Marie Antoinette’s rural retreat deep in the palace grounds—followed by a delicious 3-course lunch with wine inside the palace.

When your time at the Palace of Versailles comes to an end, return via public train to your starting point in central Paris.

I believe it was a three course meal with wine. The lunch was prefix so you could chose from a few options. We both got different items and they were both amazing.
