Learn about French history and culture through food!
Had a fantastic tour with Fabian last Friday! He was charming and funny, and so knowledgeable about the history of Montmartre and its unique foods. Loved all of the sweets and even went back to purchase additional Merveilleux after the tour because it was so delicious. Each stop had its own story and provided a taste of something wonderful! They were even able to accommodate my vegetarian requests. Ended the tour after almost 3 hours at the base of Sacre Coeur. Highly recommend this tour!

A warm and personal tour of Montmartre with tasty stops!
This tour was a great introduction to Montmartre and our guide Marie really brought the place to life with her knowledge, enthusiasm and a big smile. We did the morning tour which meant we just had time for a coffee and a leisurely start before beginning our day. There was a good balance of information, interesting sights, the number of stops and the variety of food tasted. Would highly recommend if you are looking to get to know a more personal side of Paris, without straying too far off the beaten track. Merci Marie! X

      Fun tour!!
Great food tour! Our guide Pauline was wonderful. Small group tour with a nice people. We sampled some sweets to start, then moved on to savory. Highlight of the tour was a wine and cheese pairing in a lovely little wine bistro. The manager was super friendly and informative. Tour ended at Sacre Coeur which was perfect to end.

      Lovely experience!
Our guide Marie was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, friendly and genuine. The tour length was perfect and the restaurant we sat down in (Titi Graille) was also lovely. The only thing I wished we had was more types of French wine. Thank you for a great experience!

      Informative and Delicious!
This is an excellent tour! Not only do you learn so much about the history and culture of Montmartre, you get to taste amazing breads and pastries from boulangeries/patisseries and enjoy a wine tasting paired with cheeses at a local wine bar. Hugo was a wonderful guide!

      Don't book on a Sunday
This was booked for a Sunday afternoon but most of the places we were meant to be taken to were closed. The guide said he would feed that back but it was a little late for us. It was a very disappointing tour. I wrote to complain but heard nothing back. I have been on other tours and they have been very good. Just be aware, do not book on a Sunday, however they should not be made available either.

Adored Every Moment of It - Would Do it Again!
This tour was absolutely incredible, our tour guide was so friendly, so knowledgeable and had a wonderful way of talking to us about the history of Montmartre (which itself was incredible to learn.) Because other members of the tour backed out at the last moment, we actually had a more personalized experience which added to the charm of the afternoon including an opportunity to linger at a cafe with French wine and cheese. I have not stopped raving about how much we loved this experience since we got home. I highly, highly recommend this if you are in Paris and want a really unique and really fun way to see a gorgeous and interesting part of the city.

      Just ok
We very much liked our guide but thought the tour was just ok. We love to take food tours whenever we visit a new country/city so have been on quite a few. This tour did not stack up to the others we have taken. We mostly ate sweets (with the exception of a sit down wine & cheese pairing) and extremely small portions of everything. For the money, in my opinion, it wasn't worth it. I thought we would get more variety of the local cuisine, not just pastries. If it was titled as a pastry tour, at least we would have known what were were getting.

      Walked off our calories!
Dorinne was a wonderful guide. It was a great way to see beautiful Montmartre and learn the history while eating delicious treats. We didn't feel at all rushed. Ending at Sacre-Coeur was the cherry on top.

      Lovely walk through Montmartre.
We had a lovely little walk through Montmartre. Not a huge amount of actual food for the cost. Mostly pastries with a tiny bit of cheese at the end.

Very good experience and defo worth going!
Defo worth going if you are first time in France. One of the highlights of our short trip over Christmas in Paris. The guide is very knowledgeable and friendly, and all the stops we had were good and had to go back to get some extra for our hotel afterward :)

Although our guide was very funny and knowledgeable, the tour felt overall very cheap… For the price you only have: 4 (very small) slices of cheese and a bottle of wine (that the guide tried to pass as a “terroir wine” even though we could all taste how terrible it was) in the market. Then two pastries, two small cookies, 2 falafel balls and one charcuterie board to share with 6 other persons…
(Not counting the stop at a jelly shop were you’re really “pushed” to buy some, horrible feeling…)

Another sign that the tour is money driven: they sell it as a 10 persons max, and we were 14 ! When we asked the guide about it, he said it was customary…
Would clearly not recommend it !

We took this food tour with (honestly can’t remember the tour guides name since he didn’t make a good impression on us). First stop he “taught” us how to open a bottle of wine. With the age group that we had, I don’t think this was necessary and found it to be quite trivial. The description stated that we would have 8-10 stops/tastings with one sit down. We had 6 at most. There was one sit down. The tour guide could have done a better job being prepared by having plastic forks and napkins on him. When at all the tastings, we all used our fingers/hands to reach into a bag or box to grab the food item. This didn’t seem to be very sanitary/clean, especially with the world situation on spreading germs. Sorry to say I would not recommend this food tour and would advise others to look at different options. There was no sitting at any of the tasting other than the one “sit down” stop. The very first stop could have been a sit down at the picnic tables outside the market, instead of standing in front of a cheese display with the fresh fish market directly behind the group. Again at the Falafel stop there could have been seating arrangements made ahead of time. The guide also walked extremely fast and didn’t bother to check on the group while moving to the next stop. Some of us got stopped at a red light and by the time we were able to cross, the guide was already almost two blocks ahead of us. Poor communication on his part in keeping the group together. Also, it was a small group, there were only 6 of us.

We have done a few food tours before, paid tours as well as free walking tours, and I can easily say that this tour was the most disappointing of all. We paid £188 for this tour, for 2 people and in the whole tour, all we were able to taste was -
    1. Croissant
    2. A mix of cheese and bread with red wine
    3. Falafel
    4. Choux Pastry filled with cream
    5. A small piece of cheesecake
    6. A glass of white wine with some bread topped with dry meats.

Tobiasz was our guide. He came late. We found him very disinterested and he lacked any enthusiasm for the tour. To start the tour he took us to a cafe for hot chocolate, but he said the hot chocolate was not ready and will have it somewhere else, which he forgot. He took us for crepes, but it was busy, so he said we will have crepes somewhere else, but again he forgot. He took us for Jam tasting but decided not to go inside the shop as someone in the group did not like jams. Overall a very disappointing tour and absolutely not worth it.

This was the absolute worst food tour we have ever been on. When I booked, I clearly specified that my daughter is allergic to gluten but our guide, Anthony, had no knowledge of this. The first place we entered was a charcuterie shop where he purchased a hunk of head cheese and put it in his briefcase. We never saw it again. Then we went to the market where most businesses were already closed. We went to a cheese counter where Anthony pulled out a small folding table and put a dirty table cloth on it. Then he poured us each a tiny portion of cheap red wine and set out some cheese portions which we stood and awkwardly ate. Next we walked into a tea shop where we were simply told to try the free samples that everyone else shopping there could also have. We left and went to a chocolate shop, and then to a bakery for a cream puff which obviously my daughter could not eat. Either before or after the cream puffs, we went to a jam shop and again were allowed to sample the exact same tiny samples any other walk-in customer could try. Next we sampled a Merveilleaux and Anthony pointed out a Falafel restaurant which was closed. We ended at a restaurant for snails, camembert and tiny glass of wine. The description of the tour sounded fabulous and was billed as up to 10 stops. We barely did half of that and two stops were just for the freebies. We were told very little about the history of the area. Major disappointment. If many establishments close early on Fridays, don’t offer the tour at that time. I would not recommend.

Zach is extremely knowledgeable about Paris. If you are looking for a tour that will show you around to few food places it is okay, but you will leave there hungry and thirsty. You get the minimal amount of food and drinks. You get one tiny slice of a few cheeses and wine at the beginning, 1 macaroon, 2-3 slices of meat, and a group of 10-11 of us shared 3 slices of cheese at the end. You get more if you go to a restaurant and order a cheese and meat plate or go to the grocery store and buy a pack of meat. Again Zach is knowledgeable about Paris, but you barely get anything to eat and drink. We did get 1 felafel that everyone had to eat out of the same container. We also tried a jam spread and Zach and the worker touched the part of the spoon that we eat off of. If there was more food it would be perfect. Zach did well overall, he just needs to find restaurant owners that will offer more. In my opinion this is over priced for the little you get. I did talk Zach into opening another bottle of wine since we had 11 people so everyone could get 2-3 tiny glasses of wine. Zach was a nice guide and I enjoyed him. I just think he needs to work with restaurants that will give a real taste.

Out tour was fun, informative and - most important of all - very tasty. Throughout the several hourse we spent walking through the picturesque Le Marais neighborhood we sampled croissants, crepes. cider, jam, foie gras, wine, (the world's most delicious) falafel and and various confectionary treats. There was only one other couple with us on the tour, so we were able to spend a lot of time talking with them and with our guide Emily, who was charming and enthusiastic throughout the afternoon. I would highly recommend this to anybody wanting to explore the culinary delights on offer in Le Marais.

Steph was excellent and very knowledgeable not just about food but explaining Parisienne lifestyles and how it intersects with the cuisine. The Marais is simply the coolest neighborhood in Paris and Steph was masterful showing us the most wonderful savory and sweet shops of the area. It's a great place to finish as there is tons of great shopping here.

Saul was fantastic. He brought a lot of fun and energy to his descriptions of both food and locations. Our group was large, but we managed to navigate pretty well. I would have preferred limiting the group size to eight people maximum, particularly as the streets of the Marais are narrow and crowded. The selections of wine, cheese, jams and pastries were excellent. The last stop for charcuterie and wine was excellent. The company was convivial and we had a great time.

Fun and interesting, but only one wine tasting with the cheese market visit. We expected more eat and drinks as on other food and wine tours. The guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and there are many ethnic foods in Paris, and we hoped for of the local tastes beyond desserts. We had only six in our group and enjoyed the market and cafe stops and did like the jam stop, The ham sandwich stop could be better with a wider tastings of the many chartcuteries choices. Also some of the fine everyday wines?

Thank you for leaving a review on our food tour. Our guides do everything they can to deliver interactive experiences on the history of Parisian culture. We normally offer more than one wine tasting stop, and are sorry to hear there was only once. However, our guides do everything they can to deliver interactive experiences on the history of Parisian culture under all circumstances. We hope to see you again in another delicious experience!

My husband and I really enjoyed our food tour. We had a bit of larger group than anticipated. Our guide didn't panic and rolled with it.

We explored the area while having a taster of various items from France. Our guide explained how and where the food was produced. He told us about the area, history and architecture.

We went to different places and tried a little of everything. We drank a few different wines. It was we like snacking for a few hours. I really enjoyed it and ended it heavily satisfied. It was a good tasting tour, but if you are expecting a big meal you would be better off booking a restaurant.
