About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- OnlyHereForTheFood770 contributionsAmazing! The tour was amazing! Kylemore Abbey is stunning, Cong is a beautiful town, but Connemara is the highlight. Our guide kept the perfect balance of humour, knowledge and history. As much as you could drive yourself on a similar tour you would miss so much of the local knowledge from the guides. Absolutely recommend this tour.Written November 9, 2024
- jek_review0 contributionsPerfect Tour on a perfect October Day with Mr. 'Good Shtuuff' = Dave. The entire tour was very well orchestrated. David "Good Shhhtuff" the driver was very entertaining throughout the trip. The Boat ride out to the island and looking at the Cliffs from the sea on a beautiful day, then we chose the mini van to tool us around the small island (other options were E bikes, reg bikes or horse and carriage ride), small tour shop and a pub (with excellent cappuccino). Also ate at a local pub (very well managed to deal with bus tours - and a beautiful rainbow appeared at the end of lunch when we headed to the bus. Then up to the Cliffs of Moher by bus and a walkabout to the sights and shops.Written November 8, 2024

- 781blytheb0 contributionsDave is the GOATDave was an AMAZING guide and driver. His commentary and personality really made this trip memorable! We loved visiting Inisheer and sailing by the cliffs; and loved his mention of one of our favorite shows Father Ted - especially since we weren’t aware the island we visited was part of the show. Also learning that JRR Tolkien was inspired by the countryside near Doolin added so much to our time. In short, Dave’s the best!!!Written November 1, 2024

- Christine J0 contributionsFantastic way to spend an entire day to visit the cliffs of Moher and Aran IslandsWe enjoyed an entire day trip with Dave, our driver and tour guide. We were picked up at our B&B, and then along with passengers from Galway drove to the ferry near Doolen. The ferry took us over to the Aran islands for a tour. We stayed on the ferry to view the Cliffs of Moher from the water, which are spectacular. From there, the bus took us to the top of the Cliffs for another view, for a bite to eat in Doolen and then back to Galway. The tour ends in Galway, so you have to make it back to your B&B if it’s not in the center of the city, but everything is walking distance. All in all, wonderful day with our tour guide Dave. Highly recommend.!!Written October 31, 2024

My mom came to visit and this was the perfect thing to do. The driver, JP, was very witty and thanks to him being from the area, he knew very much about everything and gave us very interesting facts and his driving was impeccable, especially with those narrow roads! He was extremely friendly and helpful and had great time management and we even did an extra surprise stop. I was great 12/10 would do again! (:

Had an absolutely brilliant tour with Gary last Wednesday to the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. Gary was an absolute legend keeping the bus on the windy roads while constantly giving everyone a brilliant guided tour. He was so accommodating to all the tourists on board & even managed to get us a cruise around the bottom of the Cliffs due to the calm waters on a beautiful sunny day which isn't common in Ireland! Would 100% recommend!

Eamonn was our guide and driver for the day. He gave us 8,000 years of history in an afternoon and had us laughing much of the time as well. All the stops were terrific and the Cliffs of Moher alone would’ve made this tour worth it. Nice to be guided along the drive, taking scenic routes and learning about the sights and then have the opportunity to explore them at your own pace during the stops.

Anthony was absolutely lovely! We ultimately had a great time.
I'm torn between 4 and 5 stars - go into this knowing it is a very touristy activity, you will be on a bus for *hours*, and most of the stops are pretty short, about 15 minutes except for the cliffs. Lunch is also quick affair - we were all crammed together at tables in a small pub with limited, very heavy menu options that will put you to sleep for the rest of the trip. If you're vegan, pack your own lunch. All in all a great way to visit the cliffs without managing your own transportation as long as you go in with the right expectations.

This trip was by far the worst trip / booking we’ve done in the last few years. The tour operator should never allow a large school block booking and put a group that size with every day locals and tourists taking this trip. We got bunched between the entire school group. They wouldn’t stop talking, listening to videos / their phone, and their chaperone did nothing to help. We missed nearly the whole “tour” component where John was telling us about various events, cities, history, etc (and it’s a shame, as he was engaging and very knowledgeable). In addition, at each stop, the students were smoking cigarettes and every time we came back on the bus we were encompassed by cigarette smoke. The whole experience made enjoying the cliffs and our other stops along the journey near impossible to enjoy. I’d reiterate, the tour operator should never allow these bookings again. Large groups (of students especially) should need to book a private tour. I wouldn’t recommend this trip to anyone.

Tour company apparently miscounted and some of us were stuck on a short bus instead of the coach. As a result we had to waste a half hour wandering around a gas station parking lot while waiting for everyone to use the single bathroom there. Guide was nice, but was totally lackadisical on time (often forgetting to say how long we would be at a stop unless specifically asked, and even then only giving ranges) and did nothing to prevent several selfish members of the group from abusing those timeframes and continually returning late. So we ended up arriving back to Galway far later than the main group, even though we left first.

This trip was absolutely amazing! Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. His driving was excellent, was worried about getting car sick because of the roads and us being on a bus but no one in our party got sick. We had plenty of time at the Cliffs as well as the other stops. I was very impressed with the lunch service as it was quick, effective, and delicious. I highly recommend booking this tour if you are wanting to see the Cliffs as well as some other sites in the Ireland country side. Also - thank you to the Galway Tour Company and our driver for picking us up in Oranmore, we greatly appreciated that touch!

Such a great day! We were super blessed with the weather (I got sunburnt!)
This is totally worth it, from all the sites you see, to the time you have at each - perfect- and then the custom made soundtrack Dave made for each part of the journey. Dave was super knowledgeable about the area and filled with historical knowledge and personal stories.
Would totally recommend!

What a wonderful trip. It's thanks to the tour drivers that you get to appreciate vivid details of Irish culture. The soul enriching stories that these heartwarming men tell you will certainly colour your day.
You'll be taken to some of the most beautiful and lush places in Ireland. It's certainly worth the time and effort. I've personally done the Conemara and the Cliffs of Moher tour, and I am glad that I did. Conemara's (Connemara) Beauty is unparalleled, enwrapped in the passion that is found within the proud Irish culture, I am glad to see such a place surviving on traditions that have been passed down through generations.
The dramatic Lovestory of the Kylemore Abbey is something you'll be drawn in by. And you can taste it as you walk through their gardens and through the old estate.
The cliffs of Mother are a trip in and of itself. The harsh beauty that you'll find accompanied by many a great story. Honestly my heart was stirred. I did not think I could enjoy the beauty of Ireland as much as I did.
Gary, you spin a great story. Honestly I'm impressed by your storytelling ability. I hope you get to connect and entertain people for many years to come. Your high energy got people excited and got them to interact with each other. Which really was a delight to experience.
Mike, I really enjoyed your paced and interactive tour. It made it easy to translate to those that didn't speak the language and you were incredibly patient and caring.

Patrick was such a great tour guide! We had an amazing day even with totally crazy weather! Patrick navigated the tiny roads like a pro, had answers to so many questions and pointed out such important facts about irish history along the way. We felt like we really got to see so much of the Burren and the baby cliffs were an extra special stop. I'd recommend this to any friends who don't want to drive in Ireland or who want great local knowledge about the area

There may be some trips that do, but ours was simply a bus trip from Galway. It was a nice trip, but we didn’t do the Wild Atlantic Way.

Where in Galway do you actually depart from? Is there day parking at that location?

We were picked up at the bus station right up the road from Eyre Square.

We are arriving in Galway for our first time 8/5, should we book a reservation for Cliffs of Moher Day Trip now or wait to see what the weather is while there. We are only there for 3 full days. Travel days on either end. So arriving 8/4 leaving 8/8.
Written July 25, 2019
Also, check weather now, you will be able to get feel of the weather within the next 10 days. When we went, two weeks ago, it was foggy on the Cliffs so we took the boat ride and got a better view of the Cliffs, As I said in my earlier post, be prepared, very touristy and crowded.
