Mark was our favorite part of Ireland!
Aug 2019
I booked our craft beer tour in June for our August vacation. To my surprise Mark reached out to me on What's App a few days later and wanted to talk real time to discuss the types of things we wanted to do on our scheduled day with him. I was confused because I thought I just booked a craft beer tour...…. To my surprise Mark wanted to share more than just a beer with us. He wanted to teach us as little or as much as we wanted to know about Ireland. We spent the day road bowling, watching our first hurling match at a local pub, driving down the coast as well as a couple little hikes. We were in Ireland for 10 days and he gave us suggestions for every destination that we stopped at. On our last day we were headed back to Dublin and we hooked back up with Mark and spent another afternoon with him. This time we started at his farm but ended up at this amazing garden called Victor's Way. Not something that we would have ever sought out, but we are so glad that Mark shared this special location with us. He is an amazing man and we are blessed to know him.

He took care of us like we were his own family. We can't wait to go back to Ireland just to visit our new amazing friend!! This day was worth so much more than he charges.

Thank you, Mark!
Mark was PHENOMENAL. He was beyond accommodating, even gave us things to do on other parts of our trip which was really helpful. He took us to a pub and we got to tour the brewery with the owner. Then he showed us his farm and let us walk his pony, herd his sheep, and of course, drink. Incredibly knowledgeable about craft beers and exceptionally friendly. Even made us dinner, which was fantastic. Highly recommend! Hope to see him again!

Excellent tour guide & Excellent tour!
Sep 2019
We did this tour since we are craft beer fans, but this tour is so much more! Mark Twig is an excellent host & tour guide! In Dublin for a week, and we wanted to learn more about the area. We learned so much more about Ireland in just a few hours with Mark than we could have learned in a week doing several walking tours in Dublin.

Mark took us to visit the Victor's Way Indian Sculpture Park. I think this was the most profound part of the tour. I felt like it was just like happening on a secret garden that will make anyone think differently about where they are in life - at any age. It was a deeply moving experience.

Mark toured us through the Wicklow mountains where the terrain is everything I imagined Ireland to be...absolutely beautiful!

The last stop on the tour was Johnny Fox'. This is a MUST SEE! Food and beers were delicious & the live music was fantastic!

Thank you Mark for a perfect start to our visit to Ireland!

One in a million!

Mark is one of the most energetic people in the business. His passion for beer and all the support businesses is going to become obvious very quick. What might catch you off guard though, is his passion for life, country and for people, is highly infectious. Build a tour around this guys availability! It WILL be worth it.

Mark Twig IS a Legend.
Aug 2019 • Family
Mark is the most kind, thoughtful and passionate tour guide I have encountered in my travels around the world.

He reached out to us weeks in advance to understand who we are and why we were coming to Ireland. He carefully crafted a unique experience to best suit our desires and preferences.

We wanted a craft beer experience, local traditions and connect with the ancient and sacred sites.

He came to our air bnb loader with craft beer from his own brewery (delicious!) as well as other breweries from around the country.

He brought us to play roadbowling a Irish ☘️ sport that was created by kids playing with cannon balls on the road. It is now a national sport that perhaps we had have never heard of, let alone get to play with a group of kind, encouraging and fun locals!

We went with the whole group to a local pub he was once a bartender at to watch the Hurling Championship, the equivalent of the American Football Super Bowl, complete with prime fish and chips.

He led us to breweries, megalithic sites that many do not know of (his mother is a nationally known archeologists), gave us suggestions for our itinerary and sent us away with unreal pork he mindfully raised himself.

We were blessed to have the opportunity to tour with him at true beginning and middle of our journey. Being with him was sincerely the best parts of our tour. He is a teacher with the gift of gab.

Our second day with him he welcomed us in to his farm to play with and feed his horse, pony, pigs, dog and good company!

My absolute favorite experience that Mark shared with us was “Victor’s Way”.

He led us on an amazing scenic drive into the hills that led to one of the most epic gardens I have ever encountered. This sacred site was created by a monk who had custom statues built in India integrating global mythology to the process of enlightenment and self realization.

This spiritual experience was accentuated by his wise words and tremendous story telling ability.

I consider Mark to be family for now until forevermore.

If you want to have the best experience on your journey to Ireland, book this brilliant man to guide your journey!!

More than just a beer tour!

An amazing day out, full of tranquility and mindfulness. Mark was a fantastic guide who knew his stuff, he had a great humour and was approachable throughout the guide, he was more than happy to answer our questions and had a larger than life personality. Not only did we hear about craft beers we also experienced what life was like in the countryside and seen amazing views. I would 100% recommend, this tour is a must!

Not only is Mark an expert in craft beer (and knows where to find all the best ones in Ireland) but he can also take you around the mountains, find spots to meditate, visit horse studs and to ancient castles & monasteries... I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and of course the beer and picturesque Irish countryside...

Mark knows his stuff. A beer tour which could easily become an annual religious pilgrimage. We all know the best pints are had over a great conversion - that's gauranteed. Great beers. Good chats. A true polymath
