Brilliant scenic tour with an excellent guide
May 2021
Brilliant tour, amazing steam train ride in beautiful scenery and an excellent guide... Andy had a wealth of knowledge and conveyed it all with humour & even provided some great Scottish music on the ride back to Inverness.

Memorable trip to the Highlands
A very well organised trip which packed a lot in, quite a bit of which was off the beaten track and all very interesting. Our guide Duffy was very good and provided great information throughout the day. The journey on tha Jackobite steam train was a highlight and reinforced by also seeing the train go back to Fort William over the viaduct. Truly memorable.

Do you think a 12 hour tour is too long and you won't survive? Not the case if you have Andy as your guide!! What an absolute gem he is, engaging, telling us all about the area throughout the day. The jacobite Harry Potter 1 and 1/2 hrs train journey was the icing on the cake. What a fantastic day day we had!

Brilliant tour - Andy was fab.
Amazing day.

Met Andy our guide who was just fantastic. Really made the trip worthwhile with his knowledge, bad jokes and humour. Such a happy Scotsman!

Busy day with lots of stops on route. Favourite parts were riding the Jacobite train across Glenfinnan Viaduct and getting some amazing views of Loch Ness. Got back at approx 20:00.

Some points for others:
- No toilets at both of the stops on the way out from Inverness to Fort William (07:30-10:00) so make sure to prepare for that or get comfy with doing your business in a bush.
- On a hot day, the bus gets quite warm (despite the fans) so bring plenty of water.
- Sit on the left hand side of the train (direction of travel) to get the best views out the window.
- Get in for lunch in Mallaig as soon as you get off the train, it’s gets busy very quickly once the train arrives.
- Best view of Glenfinnan Viaduct (off the train on the way back from Mallaig) is when you walk down from the car park, under the viaduct and get up high the other side.

Andy was Brilliant!
May 2021
What a day we've just had, absolutely amazing,
Picked up from Inverness by Andy, our driver, and with his humour, warmth and knowledge we knew we'd made the right choice.
Off we set towards Fort William, but the journey flew over as Andy picked out a few locations for quick stops, and pointed out locations with stories and anecdotes along the way.
Once we got to the train it became evident there was a minor issue with our groups train reservations, but Andy had it sorted within a few minutes, and we were shown to our seats
Excitement quickly turned to jaw dropping amazement at the scenery (and steam) that was rushing past our window. as we approached the Glenfinnan Viaduct, the train slowed and the conductor advised us how to get the best view as we went over the viaduct.
Once we arrived in Mallaig we were once again met by Andy, who advised us of the itinerary for the rest of the day. so it was off for some lunch, an icecream on the rocks gazing over at Skye, and back on the road.

With everything we have seen and heard today (and there was a lot), our driver, Andy, wast he one who pulled it all together. the little bits of info, the recommendations, the stepping in to sort the odd issue, he was brilliant.

(and if you're worried about COVID, all precautions were taken. We were asked to wear masks while on the bus, and use sanitizer each time we boarded. Andy even sanitized the bus every time we got off at locations, he worked hard all day to provide us with a clean, safe environment)

Thankyou Andy!

Journeying through The Highlands and seeing the wonderful sight of Loch Ness was truly amazing. Great lunch in Mallaig and a lovely walk along the canal bank in Fort Augustus. Duffy - our Guide - and Andy our driver did a first class job of making the day special and memorable. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone.
